  • Ahmet Erdegun, Jazz & Blues enthusiast & Founder of the Atlantic Label talks here in '73 about the early Atlantic Blues, then R&B musicians mostly legendary Black performers like Sticks McGhee, Big Joe Turner,The Clovers, Acker Bilk, Clyde McPhatten, LaVerne Baker and many more the Great Ray Charles and see John Coltrane performing LIVE in a Studio somewhere i'm not sure!
    Jerome "Jerry" Leiber now deceased (April 25,1933 - August 22, 2011) and Mike Stoller are seen here as younger men smoking and talking about joining Atlantic in 1956 and why they did, very interesting as this probably hasn't been seen in forty years!
    The Coasters Sessions and the Drifters recordings, Ahmet recalls with no problem and there importance to the Label.
    The late Jerry Wexler is also seen here and describes his entry into Atlantic Records and his thoughts on Ray Charles.
    Bobby Darin, real name (Walden Robert Cassotto) who died at 37 is also looked back upon who died later this year that the Documentary was made on December 20, 1973."Splish Splash" written by Darin in under an hour sold more than one million records!
    Neshui Erdegun is also seen here and he talks about when he joined his brother Ahmet at the Atlantic Records Label.
