- Respect, the Otis Redding written Classic tune was shot to number one in April 1967 with what would not only become Aretha's Franklin's "signature" song but it also became a dual Anthem for both the Civil Rights Movement and the Feminist Movement.
I'm not entirely sure what year this was recorded or the venue but Aretha is certainly at her prime and this music video is a perfect example of this Iconic Singer the like of which have never been seen before or since sings and dances up a storm, VERY Aretha! just my opinion.

I agree--this is the best performance I've ever heard by Aretha Franklin on "Respect"--LOVE that hard-driving tempo--backup band is KILLING it here--awesome!!
No, there are two much better live versions, one from a Detroit homecoming concert in early 68 with ML King on stage with her, and the other far superior version is a colour film from a television show in the long dress with long straight hair. Enjoy.
