Did Ballistic Advantage get a cold hammer forging machine? I hear that only a few companies in the industry have one, and for a long time BA did not. Just wondering if these are made by BA or someone else.
I seen the new aero precision pro series barrels are hammer forged & nitrided. BA makes those barrels from my understanding? Is there options on BA cold hammer forged barrels for chrome or nitrided??
The standard button rifled Hanson barrels are nitrided while these hammer forged ones are chrome lined and phosphate finished (much better then nitride imo). Don’t know why the aero pro barrels are nitride and not chrome/phosphate but they are also CHF.
@@Echo_Charlie Pinning is absolutely a better choice but BA even messes that up. They use skinny roll pin when they should be using a solid dowel or taper pin. BA’s own video about “centering the gas block” where they install the roll pin but are still able to smack the gas block left and right to “adjust the center” makes it pretty clear to me they really should be dimpling as well because: 1. It would remove the need to “center” the gas block because the rear screw would already have it located in line with the gas port. 2. It would remove the ability to “rotate” the gas block by smacking as demonstrated in BA’s own video. Properly installed gas blocks should not be able to move at all. That’s my personal take on it.
Clint, when are you and Sarah coming back with your weekly videos? I know those were years ago at this point, but they sure were fun
This just might be the best barrel for a modern duty rifle.
Just scooped up 4 of these. Always said I wished these Hanson barrels were CHF.
I'm glad it's out I will be buying some. Thanks guys
Is the chamber cut or hammered in?
Just ordered my 14.5 chf from primary arms, got about $90 off from the independence sale. Can’t wait to get it on.
just ordered mine 5 minutes ago!!!!!
Love my 10.3 with a SA gas block regulator.

It has all the things.😊
Awesome 👍
This is awesome
I’m stoked, will pick one up when I have the cash
Bert Kreischer knows his shit.
Is the inside rifling actually hammered or did you guys buy chf blanks and cut out the rifling?

Very nice. I like me some 14.7".
Amazing. Ballistic advantage barrels were already pretty incredible. Allahuakbar, God is Good.
Chrome lining?
Guess I should watch whole vid first lol 🤦♂️
U guys have 20" 6.5 Grendal?
12.5?
Every caliber in 14.5. and 13.7.
Get some.
Question what diameter threading and pitch would you use on a rifle for a 444 marlin muzzle device 5/8" ,11/16" or 3/4" inch ,
Personally? 11/16x24
Are they chrome lined?
I just looked at the listings on the website and they say manganese phosphate exterior with a chrome lined bore, so yes it looks like it.
He says it right around 52 seconds into the video that they are.
Now let’s see if they’re dimpled.
@@rifleshooterchannel208 Like for the gas block set screws? You can order with pinned gas blocks straight from BA, that seems like a better choice imo

Absolutely the WORST customer service that I have EVER experienced with any company! Worse even then BCA!
Meh, coming out with fast turn around or deep inventory of bolt action prefits would been more exciting.
an answer looking for the question.
