Here are a two issues and how to resolve them
    1) Video goes out after a resolution change, Power cycle the splitter
    2) No sound. Make sure you are not using surround sound on the PS3.

I know some splitters go out after a while, is this still working you?

Yes, it still works and I used it on a weekly basis, sometimes playing for hours. I do keep it powered down when not in use, so maybe that helps.

I think 99.9% of splitters take out htcp. I heard the reason is the htcp chip isn't needed to split a signal but it's needed to add htcp back in. The chips need a license to use, which is money, so it doesn't make sense for any manufacturers to use it. So ironically the cheapest splitters are the best.

only if you don't update your drivers of the capture device, I have an Avermedia Live Mini GC311 and the splitter was working fine but since I updated the drivers of Avermedia it shows the message of the "Copy protect content"
