George, you outdid your self. The console piece is gorgeous, my mom lived during the depression. The jewelry set is beautiful, I wonder if my daughters would like it., the Miss Revlon doll I love my mom bought me mine in early 60’s . She was so loved her clothes literally fell off. Thank you reminding me of my memories of my love for dolls.
One video...I am hooked...I like the way you explain your treasures and give us information. Yes, your mom would be proud how you briefly put earrings on to enhance your presentation.
Thank you! I do one video this style each month, with early access for level 2 members. I generally try to share what I know about the cool stuff I see, I want everyone to have more fun and appreciate their (and others' ) collections
My pleasure! It's so much more interesting to see things in the light of their time and place than to just look at them as static objects (at least for me)
Thank you for the video! I have a few of the figurines from the heritage set! They were in a bin of toys my grandparents had for us to play with. Never knew where they came from!
I like the way You explain every single detail on each item but what i love the most is that look in your eyes that loving look when showing them greetings from Puerto Vallarta México 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Just a fantastic video, George. I really enjoyed it immensely. Your knowledge on such a variety of items is amazing! I love the custard glass piece and the jewellery! The bunch of grapes brooch is incredible.! Also the Mexican silver bracelet. It's always disappointing that shipping to Australia is so expensive now! Thanks for making such great videos and so readily sharing from your vast store of knowledge. This makes the videos so very interesting. Take care. Keep safe. Warmest Regards from Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. xo
Hello Sharon! I imagine you have some really nice things in Australia, I know there were a few domestic makers of ceramics there of note for example. I wish shipping was easier too. I'm so glad to share what I know and appreciate your viewing!
YES im glad you got that cup, WE NEED TO back that symbol. and quit giving him power everytime we think its hatred .so many vintage items have that symbol and they are going to all be in garbage if we dont take that symbol back as good luck ..
Omg, I'm going to have go back and watch all of these videos. The Nora Bird console set is gorgeous. I'veI never came across much Paden city glassware. I love etched elegant glass. Oh my, how in the world do you find all these nearly perfect items?
Love that console set! Again, I have learned so much! I'm quite surprised that so many companies that produced beautiful glass objects were in West Virginia. I have many ancestors from WV and they were either coal miners or railroad people. I now must look a bit more into WV history! Thank you George for so much wonderful information! I always learn so much from your videos! 💖 P.S. That Flying Woman hood ornament is on a car insurance commercial on TV. I can't remember the company. Both the hood ornament and the driver who is driving a convertible are singing a song.
Yes, it's true! West Virginia made lots of beautiful table and housewares because they had cheap natural gas to run the kilns. Unfortunately, our wars in the Middle East have done away with most of them, when the cost of fuel soared during the early 2000s it killed off much of what was left there
@Antique Nomad and Lion Heart, The song was by The Pet Shop Boys, and the song title was "Opportunities" although people ask for it by "Let's Make Lots of Money". The commercial was for Allstate.
Thank you, Kitty! I understand that while it's dangerous when hot (due to off-gassing), the uranium levels are very low when it's in an inert cold state
I think “The Epic of Gilgamesh” from the Sumerians is considered the oldest novel in the world. It was done in cuneiform on clay tablets. You have a really interesting variety of fabulous things in this bunch.🖤🇨🇦
@@TheAntiqueNomad I have an interest in cultures pre BCE, and have studied them at length. Homer’s Odyssey in the Greek is newer than Gilgamesh, but older than the Japanese scroll…though some consider it historical rather than fictional (at least partially). Love what you do, just like to share helpful information I may have. You are doing good things.🖤🇨🇦
Rivoli = RIVolee I bet the rainbow-y parure was Sarah Coventry originally. It looks like theirs. Made by some random jobber in Rhode Island most likely. Weiss was a badger, not a jobber; they didn't have a factory and had other companies put their name on things. The rivoli set, btw isn't watermelon rivoli; watermelon is one color in the center and another further out - pink and green or green and pink. And yes it makes a difference in price. The rainbow colors are often painted onto the back of clear stones.
I hope the shaving mug doesn't get reported and pulled. Some ignorant people don't know better. Just don't mention the sun wheels by their other name in the listing.
Great video George! Thanks for sharing!
So much thought had gone into these choices.
Outstanding review of the Tenacious baseball team. Thank you for loving the art of teaching!
LOL!! Thanks for the earrings try on!! What beautiful stones!! 💎💙
It's hard being the only one around while filming lol

Enjoying your replays.
Terrific! I'm glad they hold up
Those jeans are priceless & should be in a museum for the history value, for all to see & understand, if that's possible!
They are cool! They actually sold them at the black baseball hall of fame in Kansas City

I've had a good run lately! (Oh, and I know some folks after doing this a long time...)

I have to say I have really enjoyed your video’s. I love that old uranium glass, and Vaseline glass and was wondering is it safe for food use?
Thank you, Kitty! I understand that while it's dangerous when hot (due to off-gassing), the uranium levels are very low when it's in an inert cold state

That's probably right about the maker being Sarah. I didn't realize there was a distinction with the watermelon, I appreciate the information!
“Our pleasure”,I’m sure💯💐
It's certainly fun for us too!
I'd like to make a request for you to wear a fruit headpiece if we're going to be playing dress-up :)
Lol I'd do it
How much is it if your a negative 3 level member 🤔
Yayyyyyy?!!!
37:28 would make a great conversation piece as your work mug. Of course it would give some of the easily offended PTSD
How do you spell the name of the grape pin?
Sandor. It was the first name of the company's founder
I hope the shaving mug doesn't get reported and pulled. Some ignorant people don't know better. Just don't mention the sun wheels by their other name in the listing.
Good point! It happens.
Rigid Tool Company 😂😂😂😂
Lol I'm sure they knew what they were doing
@@TheAntiqueNomad Oh for sure! LOL
32:20 Funny... Lucy was the one character I didn't like. She was a bit of a bully.
