Just a couple of observations/questions: 1) I'm "told" that when you unattach fuel line, you have to replace it. Obviously you didn't think so; 2) I'm "used to" having to follow careful torques and maybe even sequence for bolts on valve cover. Did you? I really appreciate how to think outloud, and that you don't OVERTALK it like a lot of amateurs. :()
I’ve never replaced a fuel line simply because I unhooked it, I’ve actually never heard of that. Most things aren’t critical on torque when you have years of experience and have a feel for it as well as a basic understanding of how to sequence them down evenly. Sometimes I talk more, sometimes less depending on what I feel needs to be said, while some get the idea with a few words others need it explained in detail. Thanks for the feedback, I try to read all comments and learn more.
Good video, these jobs are hard enough without the addition of filming! Thanks for the help!
I just did this on my 99 tacoma.
This looks like more of a pain lol but here I go!
Thank you 🫡

Thanks man this video helped me out. What was the torque specs ?? Btw
I never looked them up, just good and snug, they have collets on them so the gasket only has a certain amount of tension on it. They don’t take much.
wher can i buy the valve cover, i cant seemed to find it anywhere
Most of these parts I source from the dealer, I’ve seen too many aftermarket parts that are just out of the box.
Part number for high pressure fuel pump gasket?
I believe it was part of the valve cover kit
What size engine was that?
It was a 2.4l
Mine is 2.0 and gasket looks similar. The problem is to find both cover and gas pump gaskets. Going ti O'Reilly tomorrow to return the wrong one.
