Long time resident and kinda disappointed he didn't talk about East Kelso, the best of both worlds (country living but not far from the city). We would target practice just outside our backyard. No buildings for miles.
Cowlitz is a black hole people seem nearly unable to get away from. Been trying to leave for years. We’re a 45 minute drive from the place no one wants to live in. We’re a suburb of Vancouver/ Portland now. Used to just be battleground being invaded.
I can proudly say that I got out early last year at age 31. I moved to the east coast and bought twice as much house on 4x the land for what I sold my Columbia Heights home at.
Well we are moving to kelso to make it our forever home by March 2024 a serious California girl through and through but all kiddos are grown and grand kiddos are in school and old enough to not so much need grammar anyway I'm just talking and talking anyway I'm nervous and excited all at the same time.
Hi Ramon, I’m sorry to hear about your mom. As far as jobs that will get you paid right away, the first thing that comes to mind is DoorDash, Uber Eats, or any of those other delivery and ride share platforms. It might not be ideal but you can start making money right away, while you work to find a better paying and more long term position. I hope that helps, my best to you and your family. If anyone else in the Longview/Kelso area has any other suggestions that might help, drop them down below.👇
I just looked for you and don't know of any. The only tiny homes are the homeless encampment. Only one I personally know of is in Lincoln City Oregon. A friend has one. Good luck and best wishes
three rivers mall killed themselves, the raise in taxes and and a one time rent hike of 13,000 a month to 36,000 a month, made the popular businesses immediately leave
Yeah, that place is pretty much a ghost town. The last time I went to Sportsman's Warehouse in there, the rest of the mall looked like it was ready to close for good. Pretty sad to see.
So I'm not aware of any anti-trans incidents in the Kelso area, that's not to say there haven't been any, just none that I'm personally aware of. What I can tell you is that the Kelso and Longview areas are very much on the conservative side, so while a trans person may never have a problem one on one with another person in the area, the area itself may not be the best fit for them. If possible, I always recommend that people make at least one scouting trip to any area they're thinking about moving to, to see for themselves if that city is someplace they can see themselves living.
Great video. We’ve got friends from here in Juneau who are in the process of buying in Kelso, so I’m doing my homework.
Thank you for making these videos. We can’t afford to live in Seattle anymore and are looking for other areas in Washington to move to.

Thanks for the info. I own a home there that I've considered selling.
Thanks for watching, glad it was helpful! Feel free to reach out anytime if you want to talk about selling your home.

Let me be the first to say...Welcome to Washington! What has you folks making the escape from California?
I'll stick with Woodland.
@@mutteringmatt7611 It's nice and peaceful. Good fishing full of trees. And good people.
I do live in kelso I go to that school
I would not live there. I had lived in Longview up on the mountain from 2008-2016 and i drove to NE Portland to work.
The emergency is that my mom is suffering from STROKES so I'm moving from Salem Oregon to Kelso longview area SO U NEED TO START WORK ASAP

Why is water so expensive there?
Time they add fee and taxes
Only use about 30.00 plus on water they rip off people here
Threatened to pay in pennies
Sounds like you got a leak bruh
Hey I'm in my car right now, where can I go to work right now for cash? It's an emergency since I'm trying to get my ss card Cuz damaged
I SOLD MY VANCOUVER HOME 2 YEARS AGO !! TOO MUCH SPREADING OVER THE BRIDGE FROM OREGON NOW !!
Three rivers mall is definitely dead mall
Because I'am alive I can live anywhere in Washington state.
You sure can David. The title was meant more as "Could You See Yourself Living Here?" kind of question.

Unfortunately kelso is pretty red
Kelso is a total dump and the cops here are assholes. I'm leaving soon, don't move here. You'll regret it.
Kelso is crap i live there
