I'm yet to meet a physician who would 'take a family into their arms'. Your husband was a special man. Thank you for publishing his story, your story.

I love this book. I will keep it close to me forever because I love the words and the inspiration you both brought to my life. My boyfriend died on March 14, 2015. He suffered for 2 years. It was a slow death. We had been together for 35 years. He was a Type 1 Diabetic with a kidney transplant. Neither of us realized he was living with the clock ticking on that donated kidney. He was diagnosed at 15 and died at 66 years of age.

I have read his book! Thank you so much for your speech. It's really incredible and heartfelt how you've come to accept the fact and forge on with it! This sheds some light on me, my life and my passion for medicine! Thank you!

I love "When Breath Becomes Air" & the Kalanithis. I will always hold them with high regards and love, but I must comment here with all due respect and express my disappointment over the extent of similarities between Lucy's TED MED talk and this talk. I wanted to use the word 'identical' actually. I am aware that it's okay for orrators to give ditto speeches wherever and whenever they want to.
