Well done bud. Trees looking great. Your principal of bonsai on a budget I love. You've got a nice tree and it's cost you very little. Also not rushing it into a bonsai pot is also a winner. All the best Sam.
Thank you Kevin, I come from a fix and make do family to which we’ve got pretty good at most things. This has certainly reached over into my love for bonsai as I’m definitely on a budget but plant crazy!
Thank you, I made a round foundation pot on a sand mould then literally flicked mortar at it :0 I’m going to make a video on a similar style pot this summer with an interesting paint job!
Thank you! Not at the moment unfortunately as they take me too long and I get attached to the uniqueness of each pot :D. Also I’m still refining and testing them, just out of curiosity for myself. But I’d recommend you have a go at making one just patience time and a little craft! Thanks again for the kind comment
You have given me the confidence to get out and give it all a go! Thank you for inspiring me again with the love of bonsai!
That’s wonderful to hear. Taking your time is key the bonsai In no rush :D like the Carpenters old saying measure twice cut once 🌱

Nice tree glad you put it back in that training pot as it looked healthy. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Bryan! I put a Scot’s pine in that pot for now it will still have plenty of room, I want to see how it holds up over winter 🥶

I'm scared of thorns but you did it easily. Thanks for sharing valuable information. New subscriber here from Sikkim, India
I cut a lot of hawthorn hedges you inevitably end up with a few in your hands! A Light grip and you get a warning! Thank you 🌱
Buen trabajo
Thank you!
Nice thorns on this tree. They have to be sharp and a half. Smart thinking wearing gloves to prune and wire.
A light touch required :D
Love the pot. How did you make the texture?
