Welcome to my UA-cam channel, my name is Sam and I hope to share with you some great tips and ways to create and develop bonsai material.
I like to be very frugal & believe in using the resources we are provided with to create a beautiful range of plants and Bonsais.
My father got me into bonsais from a young child, & along with my mother also having green fingers I naturally have a huge passion & it only continues to grow.
I am by no means a Bonsai or plant Expert, this is a learning journey for myself and thought you may be interested in watching the creations grow and transfer into Bonsais.
I have always worked either in a nursery or garden centre along with Gardening work on the side which has expanded into a full time self employed job!
My dream & end goal is to own my own plot of land to build a Nursery.
I hope you enjoy & follow me along my journey, there will be plenty of experiments & trial & errors along the way I’m sure!

Pruning Specimen Topiary Yew Trees. Seasonal Shaping Up “Trim & Proper” Garden Feature Show Stopper
Hey Welcome back! I Hope your well!!
In this Video, I bring you another instalment of Topiary Trimming and shaping.
I work on another 2 Specimen English yew cloud topiary’s. These trees are very special to me. I’m neither the owner or the creator just the maintainer!
They were created by my late dear friend Geoff around 30 years ago. These were his pride and joy of the garden. Iv Pruned them this year to honour him.
Some would see this as hard work even hassel (especially with shears) no skool like the old skool ;) But to me this job brings great joy and a massive reward stepping back at the end!
To keep Geoffs work alive also priceless….
Iv have filmed these before but this time might be my last trim! Iv also since got a better camera and more experimental with editing. This serves as much a memory log for me as entertainment for you. I thought I was worth a share.
I hope you Enjoy this short film 🌱
If you did please consider giving us a thumbs up and maybe a Sub It’s Free for you guys and helps grow the channel. Hopefully allowing me the resources to make more content for you all! My next goals 5k Subscribers 🏆

used to be a disused clay pit at Small Dole Sussex, found some beautiful iridescent green Ammonites there, mind u that was about 50yrs ago
What type is it?
I know this may seem like a slightly dumb question but could you explain in a little more detail the ratio of the wet cement you use versus the interior mould, and the timeline of drying/waiting to carve out the middle? I am wanting to attempt this! Great work
What type of acer is it?
Beailutiful ❤. Care to share the name of the tree species please?
Nice job man!
Great detailed pruning
You have a good eye for the pruning of these topiary. Well done and by hand shows you are a real pro at this. Excellent!!!

Back in the day, we had some nice size crab apples to pick. My cousins & I would go to the park with our parents and pick and eat. A bit sour, but to us, delicious. 9:57
Great little tutorial!
You have a great collection of crab apples for this project. Have fun, and thank you for showing everyone your method of seed production.
I harvest my crab apples in the spring. That way, they get the stratification from the cold winter months here in the windy city.
Did you make that basket as well? Remember you saying you were going to make one? Awesome video btw man nice soundtrack too
Hopefully you Enjoyed or found this Video useful? Help us reach our goal of 5K Subs! SUBSCRIBE Its FREE and helps grow the Channel 🌱
What an Adventure! 👌😎

As always Sam an excellent video. Well edited. Well done bud.
Thanks Kevin, Glad you enjoyed it! It was a fun one to make :D
I particulary enjoyed your hawthorn. Hope you can get through all your losses. Very sorry.
Thank you for stopping by and your kind words. Very happy with that hawthorn this season! Really looking forward to next year and working on it! Flowers are my next goal to achieve with hawthorns that may take some time!
Sorry for your losses mate. It's what happens. Love is the bridge.
Thank you! Yeah that’s the reality for us all I guess. Looking forward 🌱
Lovely collection of trees, more tutorials please.
Thank you Adam, There in the Pipeline but just stuck at a junction as it were! Life took over but it’s on my agenda 👌
The pond in its Autumn colors.
The pond has been superb this year not bad for a year old! It’s done wonders for my little garden drawing in wildlife. You can easily lose a hour or so watching it!
Nice tour of your trees in Autumn. Superb!
Thank Tom, I Hope you well and succeeding with your projects!
Fantastic trees on the go! 😮 lost my father 22. And my mother this year. I have a few trees with sentimental value, too.
Sorry to hear that, Heavy isn’t it I feel your loss. Sad reality the only promise we have after being born. So you can only look forward, push on and make the most of your time! Nice to have a reminder of the past that grows and continues its journey with you thru your life right! Some bonsai are Priceless. Thank you for the comment 🌱
@nillysbonsai9636 Yes, it is like too. Have a living memory that is growing . Yes it's hard .but we need to keep on fighting. I feel like they are together again. And that's helps a lot in the grief
Keep it brother . Some excellent looking tree's and projects 👌.
Thank you! I’m looking Forward to next spring!

💪🏻😳💪🏻
You’ve been so strong through all of this man, for everyone, quite inspirational if I’m honest, although the loss of our parents is inevitable nobody should have to go through it the way you 3 boys have, the Mrs included as I know she’s been there all along 💪🏻
Life unfortunately can take such cruel turns that takes a part of us each time. But when you need reminding of what strength looks like, look at yourself!!!! 💪 With every knock, you get back up and still find a way to smile through all the darkness. You have the kindest soul & I’m so very proud of you ❤
Nice tour . Some great trees there.
Thank you and thanks for stopping by! Recently uploaded a new tour/update video 🌱
Wow amazing finds! That donkey sure did look happy too! Even with the miserable weather you made the most of your time away! 🌱🐚🦕
Always a nice place to be rain or shine! The Donks are a bonus although us stopping by on a miserable day might have been there bonus also!
Litre of choccy for the hunt 😂😂 nice finds man and nice jacket 😜
Fuel for the Forage :D Certainly does the job thank you!
Fabulous part of the world. Best wishes and happy hunting out there from wet windy darkest Lancashire!
One of my favourite parts also :D Thank you for stopping by!
I'm so glad I found your channel 🙂I love Lyme and your finds I have a few gems from there too.Enjoyable video ty.🦐
Thank you for the kind comment, Your very welcome glad you in enjoyed it. Very happy to have shared the experience and treasures :D
Fossils. A marble and money. All kinds of things. Cool mix!
You never know what you’ll find at this spot along with the regular fossils! Doesn’t get boring!
That cold beach hunting for fossils, I hope you had a thermos of tea or coffee in the van waiting. Nice hunting. Donkey. Cool!
No pain no gain :D haha it’s actually a little warmer that end than where I live even with the wind and rain. The potential treasures drive motivation and lots of coffee ☕️
Cheers for the video, some absolutely stunning finds can't wait to be back down in Charmouth, bad weather or not.👍💯✨️
You are welcome, Never a dull day in Lyme and Charmouth Rain or shine :D already missing the place! Thanks for stopping by!
thats the worst wire you can use for a pine
Iv used copper and aluminium in the past ( copper for years) This particular pine is easily bent around the wire did its job. Thank you for the comment
Great video. You do a really nice job of putting things together and explaining. I am working with a couple of local oaks here in Arizona. Quercus Emoryi & Quercus Turbinella (scrub oak). I've sprouted about a dozen of each and just getting them going. I love oaks.
Thank you for the kind comment. Best of luck with those roll on spring ay! Il have to check those out not something I think we have here. Always interesting to see oaks from around the world ours seems quite famous 🇬🇧
Beautiful birds singing
🎶🐦⬛🎶
Always work to do taking care of the trees. Nice job!!!
Always Tom! A gardens never finished as a health plant keeps growing :D Thank you ☺️
What NOT to do when you first open an air layer.
Well I guess the DONTS started at….. Don’t let them dry out :D
Hand shears to, awesome good Tidy job.
No school like the old school :D thanks for the kind comment :)
Great relaxing video and Niwaki. Also loved the videography and editing 👍
Cheers Jason! Very kind means a lot thank you 👌
I've seen you do the cloud bushes before. You make a fantastic job. That garden looks like it's gone down the the pan?
Cheers Kevin, yes very sad about the garden. A series are unfortunate events. Heartbreaking really but couldn’t let the cloud trees fade!
Lovely job you did
Thank you Raymond! 👍
That's going to make a cracking twin trunk yew. I've never tried Yew for air layering. Can you remember when you started the layer, what month, I'm also in the UK. You answered my question at the end of the video, thanks, great result. I shall have a go next spring.
Thank Murphy, I actually moved this tree on regrettably as I lost some space. But the process of air layering was a success. I’d say yew of this thickness (couple of inches an inch say) you can expect roots in the first 3-4 months. If you started really early march/ April you may just get it off the parent in the first season. Potted on in moss or a really well drained soil and a sheltered spot. Hope this helps
Very clever.
Cheers Kevin, I hope your well! Something a little different Ay 👍
Your meticulous pruning has turned this tree into a stunning finish. Super Cool!!!
Thank you Tom, this little larch is beginning to take shape! 🌱
Great idea using the cloth to cover the pot so as to save on clean up work. Excellent!!!
Thanks Tom, In all fairness it’s a simple thing I usually overlook getting to excited and stuck in to the job! Saves a lot of time at the end!
Foist!!!
🥇👌👍
