CCD sensors create high-quality, low-noise images. CMOS sensors are usually more susceptible to noise. Because each photosite on a CMOS sensor has several transistors located next to it, the light sensitivity of a CMOS chip tends to be lower, as many of the photons hit the transistors instead of the photosite

**The CCD was invented in 1969 at Bell Labs by Willard Boyle and George Smith. Since that CCD FILM LIKE SENSOR was sensitive to light it was used as image sensor for video and TV cameras. It could also be used as a memory device or analogue signal delay since it's principally a kind of analogue shift-register circuit.

And I thank you again. I won a mint LX2 on eBay for $43 thanks to a video you did much earlier. I’ve mainly used it for stunning b/w shots but due to this video I think I’ll try a few color shots now!

Also, the Lumix GF1s are an amazing camera that you can often find for less than $100. I have two of them, and use the Panasonic 14mmF2.5 pancake lens on them. Pocketable camera, and absolutely amazing images come out of that thing. One of my two lives in the "Dynamic B&W" mode - and it produces gorgeous JPGs. If I shoot 10 pics with one of them, there are always a couple/few that I can't believe came from a camera made in 2009 that I paid $60 bucks for.

All digital cameras, by way of the on board image processor, edit the straight out of camera photos. As you know, every professional photographer will make their work look the best it can by editing at the very least contrast, crop and sharpness before showing anyone their art.

Does it have a monochrome mode or did you convert them later on your computer?

I used Luminar 4 photo editor to convert the color file to B&W.

Up until recently nobody gave a rodents ass about these aging digital cameras. With everyone using their phones and the camera manufacturers neglecting the compact and ultra compact market almost completely we have seen a resurgence of interest in these things.. not to mention lots of gen-z who have never even handled a dedicated camera and are now just starting to get money between their hands and want to up their social media game causing a spike in interest.. just having a flash is a selling point now as it gives a different look.
