Great video! I have never gotten over 300 miles till empty in my mustang EcoBoost. Do you have any tips on what I can do?
Thanks man! I wish I could've done some video while driving with a GoPro to get an example, but what I've noticed is that I usually go 55-60 mph on the highway just casually, but when I went around 65 mph, I actually saw a slight increase in MPG
Also, if I don't have school and I just drive around town I get around 260-280 Miles til empty
@@MRTNFK8 thanks man. I really appreciate it! I must say I really enjoy your videos man. You have inspired me to get a EcoBoost and I’m loving it. I have a 2020 mustang in rapid red. I recently installed the MBRP race catback and it’s amazing. I look forward to more content on your channel. Good luck with your classes!
i know I am kind of randomly asking but do anybody know a good site to watch new movies online?
@Archer Samson Flixportal :D
4.5k miles so far. 91 octane. 90% miles are highway cruise at 80-85 MPH. So far averaging 27 MPG overall since new.
34 mpg overall messing around in city mostly and occasional flooring, in a 6mt
How in the hell are you guys getting 300+ and he’s even getting 400+
I get 16 mpg and I can only do 235 miles on full tank am I dreaming
Yo same I was like wtf
Same!
It’s probably mainly city right ?
I do all City driving . I get 17mpg and about 234 to Full Tank
1) you are driving too hard 2) you are putting in 87, and driving too hard 3) your car is broken, and you should take it to a shop ; I used to own a 2016 ecoboost with the 6A and managed 25 avg, and I get 18-19 in a 2017 GT
His 93 octane cost less then the 87 I have down in Florida 😭😭
same bro my 93 is like $3.80 per gallon (new york)
@@anthonyschiavone1436 At least you guys don't have till fill your mustang up in the UK 🤣
lmao my 91 is $4.95 per gallon in cali
I don't know how some of you guys are driving, but I just took a 4 hour road trip and I got around 32 mpg on the turnpike. Otherwise normal driving I typically average around 28 mpg. I drive mostly on highway and some in town, but still, I didn't think it was a terrible difference from when I had a Ford Focus. It just moves a little quicker lol.
I can get like 40 on the freeway in my convertible if i don't go over 65, if I do 75 I get like 33
2024 ecoboost owner here. 13.2 liters per 100k or 7 to 8km per liter. On my 3rd week of owning an ecoboost
Wow was it really 2.5 dollars per gallon 2 years ago! How the times have changed
i swearrr
That’s pretty impressive. I saw 370 miles to empty for my 5.0 but that was very conservative. Normally I see 300 miles lol
That's Awesome! I've wondered what the GTs get on Miles to empty, but I would gladly trade about 70-100 miles for an extra 150 HP 🤤
i have a 2018 ecoboost and i only get 295 miles till empty how is that
I can't get above 300 in the city. I mainly do highway driving 65mph to and from work
I average 19-21 mpg in mine with purely city driving, moderate traffic in sport+ mode. One time I reset it before a trip to see what I'd get on just highway driving and I got 27 mpg.
Nice! I usually go back and forth in sport+ in the city but stay in normal on the highway my overall since I've bought the car is 23 mpg
lol I was getting 9 city and 15 mpg highway in mine.
@@4touchdowns1game29 how lol were u driving in track mode doing pulls all the time?
@@TaysonPlaysGuitar track mode with tune and ethanol. Ethanol gets terrible mileage, like crazy bad.
@@4touchdowns1game29 yeah man but doesn't it add like 30 hp to these cars?
Stock tune for me was averaging 24MPG. I got a 91oct tune (hardly find 93) and I was getting over 30. Then e30-40 tune and back to 24.
If you dont care about factory warranty or dont have one I would highly recommend a 91/93 oct tune for the MPG. But most tuners wont touch it until you at least have a better intercooler.
Plus you can also get about 50HP more out of it. If MPG isnt a thing for you and you have e85 near. Get an e30 tune and you keep same MPG with over 100HP difference
I know this is about the mpg off the lot and all but you all have options. ALSO what color blue is that? that Velocity Blue? (Color code E7)
Awesome to know! I recently got a ford performance tune and I feel like I'm getting slightly better MPG. The color is lightning blue (Color Code N6)
@@MRTNFK8 ahhh I have the velocity. They look almost the same on camera. I believe in person yours is a bit darker.
I hope you’re doing well man. I look forward to seeing more content on the mustang soon!
I should have a video today! :)
I have a 21 convertible. If you treat it like a Buick LeSabre you get good mileage. If you treat it like the V8s of 20 years ago that had like 310 hp then you'll burn gas. Best of both worlds actually
Honestly really great informative video. Great Job Bro!
Thanks, I'm glad I could help 😊
Now in Florida the regular cost 3.15$
Same here now 😢
Quality work my friend needed this review because I too have a 2018 Ecoboost
Thanks man 😄
Can't believe people hate the ecoboost it's a sweet ride for a 4 cylinder and has some pretty good Getty up
Exactly! Other than sound I think its a nice replacement for the v6
This reassures my reason for getting an ecoboost! Awesome dude! Gas ain’t cheap anymore :(.
Yeah it went up fast 😥
Seriously!! Gas prices here in California keep reminding me that the EB is a great car with really good performance and looks lol 👍🏻
Whenever I'm getting 30+ mpg in my EcoBoost, my turbocharger gets bored and pissy!
I miss 2.54 93 :(
This is the video I never thought I needed to see! Really thinking about getting one soon!
Thanks for watching! I was so surprised on how good the MPG was when I tested it I thought it was worth making a video on
Wth man I have a 2020 eco boost white with black accent pack base model and mine holds only around 250miles to empty and my city MPG IS 14.5
Dang, I rarely drive in the city and if I do then it's not for long so maybe that's why 🤔🤷♂️
Wow 440 miles to empty?! That’s amazing I get the most 307 on my 2020 EB 🥲🥲
amazing, mustangs are good in MPG I got 2013 V6 with 150k miles, and I'm getting 400 to 420 till empty, same mostly highway driving
Bro I have a manual eco boost HPP and I get 207 I do not understand it I use 93 and I drive good most of the time
I know that with the 10 speed, the last 3 gears are mainly used for better gas mileage as if I go into sport mode I stay at a constant 6th or 7th gear which is a little above 2000 RPM
57k '18 eco I average about 26.3 mpg. Thats mix easy and some spirited driving.
I drove my 2022 300 miles yesterday and got 29. Shocked. I bought it for that reason but really didn't expect it to be as much as promised. heck it's under 2000rpm at 75 so it makes sense. Drove it 65 on the way back and got 35 ish but who wants to drive 65? ;)
Me with the top down. LOL. I feel you though
Oh..... man.......
While on the highway at 60 mph you can get mid 36 mpg with the 5.0 the eco boost should be a bit better. I would use this for long road trips to save money. Day to day driving no one is worried about mpg
had a 2018 eco and i was getting 12MPG and now i have a 2016 and im getting about 21MPG...
That's crazy! I've never gotten 12 before thats just not worth it 😕
@@MRTNFK8 I was doing crazy stuff, burnouts donuts speeding then pressing brakes.. makes sense...
Really good looking car in that color and with those rims and spoiler
Thank you! 😊
Wow didn’t realize so many people got such low mileage . I get 384 miles a tank. 25.3 AVG
I get about the same
This is accurate. I would get around 28-29 miles per gallon on my 2020 Mustang Ecoboost. 40 minute commute to work so over 80 minutes on the freeway for the day. My 2017 Mustang GT gets around 21 miles per gallon. I miss the miles per gallon on my Eco but it just doesn’t compare to my GT.
I was like thats a good vid lets see whether he has any other vids and then i saw ur name and went MIII??? Jól látom h Kovács Martin a neve???!!! Magyar srác Amerikában egy pónival az erős magyar akcentus nélkül?!!!???!! Well u got a new subscriber bud😁
köszönöm, jó látni egy másik magyart!😊😊
I have 2020 ecoboost premium (convertible , all stock ), %70 of drive is in city and my average is 20.5 mpg and when I’m driving in freeway I can hit 27-28mpg
What is the exact color of the car?
Lightning Blue. It was replaced in 2019 by velocity blue
I have a 2012 impala with the 3.6 v6 I avg anywhere from 31 to 33 mpg on avg. So for a sporty turbocharged 4 cyl mid to high 20s sound reasonable for fuel mileage. Probably can get higher with the right driver
Ahhh good times when premium was 2.54 a gallon and u got a full tank for 35$ now it’s more then that for regular. 🤦♂️ 87 lookin real good where I live the 93 prices aren’t updated as often and it’s still 4.79 while regular is 3.19. 87 for me currently 😂
I barely get 300, maybe that’s because mine is stick
Maybe, I bet it's way for fun to drive tho
@@MRTNFK8 oh Fs, drop a gear and disappear
idk what is wrong with my ecoboost saying i have 8mpg i really really doubt it
Awesome video! I like how clear and simple you made.
The mustang is looking like an absolute beauty as well
I'd love to see how a gt compares being tested this exact way
Damn rn in Florida I spend 60 bucks to fill up my tank
Should I turn in my 2017 Honda Civic for this Mustang? Will I save more money? For gas?
Howd you get 405mi! My ecoboost wont go past 320mi!😭😭
What exhaust are you running? Sounds nice 👀
MBRP race catback it's nice!
2.5ish for a gallon of 93. I think it was around 3.5 for premium a year ago in ny. 😤 now it’s 5 bucks a gallon
How ?? Must be stock with no mods and grandpa 🦶 great vid
Wtf full tank 400 miles. Howww. My ecoboost only runs 270 miles for a full tank
how many gallon you put in the car?
Damm that’s awesome gas mileage I only get 290 miles per tank on my 2020 ecoboost mustang
It is actually a good gas saver for what it is but one thing you should know is sport mode in the city is actually good because you won’t have to step on the gas as much to keep the car moving smoothly and regular drive mode is good for the highway I drive 75-80 mph on the highway and average 32 mpg and it depends on how the roads are and if you have a lot of hills
I noticed that if I drove 65 and a little higher it went up a little bit and that was pretty impressive. I wanna do a video in the future that shows sport mode vs normal mode because it's so much more fun to drive in sport
Hp is hp though so your wasting gas regardless of motor size. Mine on e85 averaged 9 city and about 16 highway but I was also making 403 whp. With bolt ons, a tune and e85 it will blow your mind. Doesn't even feel like the same car.
Bro I literally get 14mpg rip me
In Cali it's double that gas price ⛽
Should I turn in my 2017 Honda Civic for this Mustang? What I save more money? For gas?
I currently have a 2021 Type R I traded the mustang in for. The gas tank is bigger on the mustang so you get more miles on highway cruising. On normal city driving I noticed about 250 miles to Empty.
Nice video bro ,love the car ,blessings 🙏
I don’t get it i have a 2017 ecoboost drive it completely normal and getting 14 mpg on average
Mine is mostly highway 🤷♂️ I can't get over 300 Miles in the city
I’ve gotten 420 max
2.54 for premium??? Man this video didn’t age very well
Those were the good days 😓
this mpg is really good...
1/3 of the gas price here in Sweden, socialism sucks! (+$7/ gallon here)
😥
Bro that shit happen me too went I got the car had full tank of gas but once it was low i put 93 and it got faster and in my mind I was like the fucking cheap ass dealer
Telling you man I felt a difference right away 😤
Geez the gas is cheap here in California it’s 4 dollars a gallon
I get 203 miles after I fill it up on 91 octane in California 🥲
Nice! I do too when I'm in the city most of the time 😄
Regular right now in Florida is $3.80
$3.98 from the same gas station for 87 lmao
I have mustang ecoboost as my 1st choice but my only concern is winter since I live in Montreal Canada and it snows alot here not sure how the car would hold up when there is 20+cms of snow,
Any feedback is appreciated
I live pretty close to Florida so sadly I don't have much experience with snow. I do know there is a snow/wet mode that limits throttle imput which helps against slipping during bad weather.
My Mustang 2021 Ecco 10 speed mpg. 30 plus average, hwy 36 up to 38 florida
Awesome! I've never been able to get above 34 but that's really cool!
I had 509 miles to empty on 93 i was driving to New York from Colorado
😯😯😯
Damn 34 bucks is a half tank of 87 now.
Hard to find 87 under $4.00 now
the most I get is 29mpgs
When he said "its gonna be expensive" while filling up I expected like $80-100
My average mileage is 19.4 🥲
Good MPG review. Thank you.
I have both an a eco and a gt the ecoboost is my gas saver as it should be!!!
Thats right! I got mine because I have a long commute, definitely made traveling easier
What’s your exhaust
MBRP race catback
here in Minnesota im paying abough $3.50 for Premium.. LOL
Thats about what it is for me right now
3.95 down here in south Florida😂
@@bookerhoward6326 wow ;(
Lol getting a ecoboost next week...I dunno if imma be getting 93 for a good minute.
Yeah sadly 😥 I wish someone could've told me about the prices before I got my tune 😭
always get premium gas, get regular and you'l lose like 30 hps
wowwwwww where do you live where 93 gas is only 2.50 lmao. 91 gas for me is 4.20 a gallon smh, you are very very lucky.
Not anymore sadly, it went up like crazy in the last couple months 😅 I still do use 93 though
Haha u in Cali? I know your pain gas went up like crazy and it looks like it’s not going to stop increasing it’s like 4.50$ a gallon for 91
Nah man I'm in Georgia, right now it's 3.50 for 93 at least and constantly going up. I didn't even realize how cheap it was in that video 😳💀
is the eco boost stock ?
Engine wise yes, it only has a catback exhaust and a K&N air filter
We need more Ram
Recently on highway i have got 500miles on full tank around 34mpg, local mileage sucks but highways always have been great.
That sounds about right I can usually get low 20s in the city but upwards of low to mid 30s on highways :)
Thanks for the video bro...needed this!
👍
What state you at man?
Georgia 🍑🍑
Where’d you get you GT grill from?
thepartsfarm.com/ they are located close to where I live and they always have spare parts for sale
Did you upgrade your wheels? Looks like 5.0 wheels. Is that a custom exhaust? Thanks!
Yes, they are from a 5.0, and the exhaust is MBRP race catback 😊
Nice🚙💨💨💨 So the wheels fit fine on the Ecoboost? Are they 20 or 19?
They are 19 and they fit perfect, better than the 18 inches mine came with

Sweet car but manual is better & fun to drive never really drove automatic you think it’s better?
I think manual is way more fun, but since I daily mine I got the auto, and I've also heard that the 10 speed is good at keeping better MPG. If I would've got mine as a weekend ride I would've got manual.
5.0 is not bad i was hitting on the highway around 35MPG and that was feathering it i have a 19 10speed
Nice! I haven't tested a newer GT yet, but I've been hearing that they are really good on gas as well
17mpg in my 5.0 😅
