Belated happy birthday Bazza. What a lovely birthday treat. Thats a lot of walking, I was just wondering how many steps when Maxine said the total - wow. It was non stop apart from lunch and going to the bathroom.
It is a lot of walking Gillian but we were prepared for it, went out every day the week before and walked a couple of miles to get ourselves ready.

Yes, apparently for the Disney VIP tour you go through the Lightning Lane entrance with everyone else, which doesn't seem very VIP considering the price. 🤔
That tour looked great with all the rides ye done in one say and meals definitely worth it.. what a great way to spend your 30th birthday bazza 😜🤣

We have not done that tour, we heard it’s quite expensive
Happy belated birthday to VIP Bazza! I’m genuinely in disbelief that people would pay $75 for the VIP parking haha. The tour definitely felt worth it though for what’s included and also for if you’re only in universal for the day and want to do as much as possible!

Thank you so much for this! We are planning a trip to Orlando in March. Thank you for the heads up about tipping too! Im wondering how they divide up the groups. Do they do it by interests or is it just luck of the draw who is in a group together? My son is obsessed with spiderman and I want to see everything Harry Potter. I would want to make sure we would be able to do those things.
It’s the look of who signs up for that time slot , but before they start the host goes round to every group and asks what rides they do and do not want to do

I've heard that sometimes it's possible to switch groups if your interests align better with another group

Definitely think it is worth it when you look at the lines, the price you pay for express pass.
I am thinking of pricing it up for our trip in May, but can see it been a bit of an extravagance with there been four of us 🤔.
If not will look for 2024 when it will just be Sarah and I 🙂.

Far cheaper to stay in a deluxe hotel and get express pass for 2 days ,that's for upto 5 people

Looked good but did you feel like you did extra walking back and forth by not going round one park then the next like we would usually do?
Not really as we did Islands first then lunch and ended up in Studios so we were park centric morning and afternoon
That was cool. We live here and haven’t been to Universal yet. We are me and my wife, 7yr old and 11 yr old. We are not rollercoaster fans really but do you think it would be worth it for us if we mixed and matched the rides? Like could you ‘opt out’ of certain rides? I know it’s a daft question.
Yes, before we began the guide asked each family what they liked and did not like so she could tailor the visit . Of course with a group of 12 they have to cater for everyone, the only way to get a very specific ride plan is to have a private tour

Exactly my point, the tour allowed us to do more rides in a day than if we were in the normal lines.
