- Well that took a while to get sorted. Thank goodness it’s all done and dusted!!!
A game that many thought we’d easily win with the predictions. Only a few that thought they’d score. Was always one of those games that had banana skin on it for me. The fact they were down the league, the way we’d played in couple of games before. Feels like a bit of complacency has been creeping in. So when Warrington scored it wasn’t a surprise. Main thing is how we responded, we created enough chances to win several games. It was the finishing that let us down, that and an inspired goalkeeper and of course the woodwork.
Media went into meltdown last nighg, of course it did its Scunthorpe United 😂😂 Hopefully after sleeping on it and having chance to calm down. A few people have changed their mind and seen the bigger picture. 8 games, 6 wins, 2 draws, 4 points clear at the top. You have taken that all day long at the beginning of the season.
Just so you know, we will concede in other games and a good chance we will lose a game or two as well. So next time before jumping on media slating players or whoever. Take a few deep breaths, have a think, type your message out, read it, delete it, then start again.😉

Warrington very well organised and showed no fear. They had done their homework on us . We maybe should have changed the way we played once we saw the pattern of their defensive tactics. We never gave in though so UP THE IRON.

@@ScunthorpeUnited yes, they are class and have been this season. We lost 2 of our best players last season but seem to be doing okay without them up to now. (Buckley-rickets) and wisdom
Another great vlog Gareth. I suppose that we all predicted that Scunny would win, but unfortunately, the law of averages say that games like this will happen, when all the possession comes to nothing and opportunities in front of goal go amiss. Personally, I don't think that Scunny would have scored that second goal had they still been playing into Sunday morning. In my opinion, although Warrington looked ordinary, they did make things difficult and took their chance when they chased the result. Scunny were simply not constructive enough in front of goal. To end on a positive I thought that the players put a shift in and Scunny are still unbeaten and sitting on top of the standings.
