    The sound of a big bore Clatterpillar pre chamber engine starting never gets old. Anyway pretty good service life from those track rollers Jeff. Gallion for the win, those damn track frames are some kind of heavy and awkward to handle. The equalizer bars and fighting the diagonal brace in those big cats are kind of a pain in the ass. Jacking up the tractor to remove the frames are always an exercise in what do I have that will work it seems! At least it has a back jack build in! I cannot say I have ever seen those bolts on the carrier roller frame all broke at the same time! I have broken them trying to remove them though. Oh well...Drill Baby Drill 😁 Man you still have the cylinder mount brackets? You are a Cat God Jeff! 😁 Cheers

    It'd sure be nice if I was closer than over 2,000 miles out here on the east coast. Then I'd at least offer to come by there and give you a little help when you need it. I know you've been in worse situations before but I can't help but think an extra hand could help you out and be safer. You may very well not want anybody getting in the way. One thing I did see that might help is when you got several bolts to pound out under something, like the 9, take a strap and wrap it around what you are working on and put it under your front handle to hold it while you are running it. That big impact holding over your head for even a couple of minutes will wear you down. It depends on how much work you got if it is worth it but I have found it to really keep the big guns from trying to kill you. Like to see you working on the 9.

Yep the "Wheels of Time" is the ATHS publication and in the back you will find classifieds of old trucks.

      using both as a millwright at work, the inch and are alright. they do not hit as hard as ingersol rand titanium inch or inch and a half titaniums we have been using for years on turbines. They are handy though. Stringing large chicago fitting air hoses around gets old. The batteries go fast as well. Honestly none of the electric stuff holds up that great in a industrial environment where you are using them past their duty cycle.
      If you run a small air compressor you wont get the performance out of even a 1/2 that yu would with large hose and a bigger compressor though. I actually like the ingersol rand half electric better then the milwaukee gun. that is just feel of the gun. the red gun might hit harder. no idea.

    • @airbats801
      @airbats801 3 місяці тому +1

      guessing you are running it on some 3/8 stuff. you need minimum 3/4 and a lot of cfm, 1inch will even net better results, but is a hassle.

    • @clydeacor1911
      @clydeacor1911 3 місяці тому

      @@airbats801 no I was using a 3/4 inch hose but it was very cold at the time like around 15 degrees so I'm sure my air was freezing up. It was working but definitely wasn't flowing enough to get 100% performance. And you're right a 1 inch hose would be better but definitely a hassle. I try to use a short 25 foot hose so I'm not losing as much if I can.
