actually yes they did when i wasnt wearing gloves and broke all my fingers glove would of made it worse way worse cause broken bones cause swelling in minutes so if i was wearing gloves it would of been hell to get them off and gear wont stop broken bones at all

I’m assuming they stopped because they saw the car coming up behind them. Otherwise wth were they doing stopping in the middle of the road.
That area needs better (some, any) lane markings. If there are two lanes on each side of the road there sure as hell aren't any lines to indicate such. The pair of skid marks in front of the biker is interesting.

Either had to slow down and get behind that car coming up on him or speed up earlier so he had time to make the right turn. Just bad situational awareness.

Surely it would have confirmed your claimed story, and not show that you were hightailing it with 100+mph in the right most lane overtaking everybody on the wrong side, and show the car in question sitting neatly in the right most lane trying to take the exit at a normal pace.

How do you know the car didn't move over last second? They do that all the time and the car was in that lane and after the crash they didn't take the exit anymore ??? Riders hogging up all the lanes just looking for trouble
Yea, they are taking up the entire road riding slow and then get mad when someone with somewhere to be passes them. They can just as easily be in right lane but then they won't get as much attention.
Whenever I’m out on the bike, the road users that frighten me the most are not car drivers but other bikers. So many examples here of sheer stupidity and immature point-scoring. You think revving your engine is going to worry anyone? This video is the reason I rarely go on group rides.

1:04. Never assume the driver of a large truck can see you. I never filter up and sit in front of one. Unless it is a cabin over engine design, there is a good chance that they won’t even know you are there. Where I live filtering is perfectly legal. And if I see a heavy truck at the front, I sit behind them. It isn’t worth getting squashed.

@@jaromor8808 How would they insist it is unnecessary? Seeing the video evidence, no lawyer would be able to argue that this action did not prevent a (much more costly) collision. Now if you don't have any video evidence or eye witnesses, it becomes much more complicated, and likely they'd try to weasel their way out of paying you.
You can check your particular insurance, but most have a policy where evasive maneuvers are covered for your own insurance regardless, never mind that they could easily argue with the other party's insurance that an accident has been avoided and thus make the other party liable (although all that legal stuff doesn't matter for you).
Should be noted that this is often different with animals! Swerving to avoid an animal would make it a 'fault accident', yet hitting the animal often makes it a 'not at fault' claim... Honestly very backwards as it encourages hitting animals instead of avoiding them.... but likely made this way as otherwise drivers could pretend it's animal damage for anything they caused themselves and get a full refund.

0:30 ride a bit to the left in that lane and you'll be more visible, not so much in the blind spot. 0:33 good thing the motorist realized his mistake and corrected course, because the MC rider was unable or unwilling to bank over to the far left of the lane to avoid a collision.

Good mix of clips, @motostars. A question - why are so many clips showing riders losing traction on the front tire? Braking issue? I ask because that literally has not happened to me in 55 years of riding.

I have the same experience on the first clip, going slow on sharpest curve and also a downhill, my right kneepad didn't saveme on road rash it slide on my calves got scraped my knees.

You can drive for miles by being on the blind spot of a car but as soon as you pull to cross the car the car veers into you, its like universe is saying its not your day to ride.

Sorry but i gotta say this, i have seen lot of motorcycle vids now and i do find that most accident are due the recklessness, speeding and the bikers own driving style, drive defensive i always do when i go touring on my motorcycle and it brought me home safely every single time..

Ought to practice riding more to the side so he can see around vehicles, oh and space cushion, but if you really don't want a space cushion you gotta be able to see. Not to mention ignoring the drivers and focus on the traffic and road condition.
