Hey Barry! If you want easy to boil eggs, bring the water up to a boil FIRST. I take my eggs out when I start the water to boiling so that they have time to warm up a bit and are less likely to crack. But it works perfectly every single time. Maybe you should do a piece showing all the ways to boil an egg and which method works best for easy peeling. Or have you already done one like that and I missed it?

Love your recipes, been tempted to try the soda pop cakes. Worried they wouldn't turn out. Now will definitely try them. One thing that would be very helpful for those not on metric measurements ounces, cups, pounds. Ps my favorite videos from you are your gadgets.

In Jamie’s 15 minute meals book the first recipe make coconut buns (as part of a dim sum style meal) it’s just flour, coconut milk and water to steam. Would love to see an oriental-style 4321 using this. (Tip- the buns need something for dipping so would recommend the main being something with a lot of sauce e.g sweet & sour, Teriyaki or hoisin!) 😊

Great video Barry I gotta try that chicken maybe with rice and a layer of cheese topped tortilla chips on the top. Also I really am not a fan of scotch eggs iv never really liked them, but those chorizo ones look really good. I think I might allow myself a runnier yolk though as it's the hardboiled eggs which have always put me off. I hope you manage to rescue the cinnamon bun footage and if not then I look forward to whatever comes next.
Also I hate to be one of those viewers lol but I miss your exotic treat videos I guess after a while you must start getting lots of the same stuff from different countries but I always enjoy watching you Mrs Barry the kids and the pugs going on an adventure of exotic treats. 😀

Mr. Barry, you can peel eggs under warm running water, and to stop your cake layers from slipping use toothpicks to hold the cake layers in place, as a kid my Mom would say whoever got a toothpick had to help clean the kitchen after dinner & dessert lol

Another iteration you can do on the cake is make it into a Jello poke cake. Rather than frosting it, you poke it with the handle of a spoon a bunch of times and pour a layer of jello over it. Let it firm up then remove it from the pan. Works best as a sheet cake.
