It is brilliantly engineered. The darkest decays are almost like a broken reverb. Lots of gain after 12, quiet below that and then boost mania! I have only 1 expression pedal and it goes into this most of the time. The decays goes nearly insane but pulling it back from stupid oscillation demo territory (bad delay pedal demoes always seem to have that moment🤢🤮) is easy. Beautiful piece of gear. I use it as much or maybe more than Shallow Water lately. A fully organic masterpiece. Thanks for the thoughtful demo with great musical ideas to do it justice.

I own this pedal and understand it even more from your great video! Another use it has, and probably not the builder’s intent, is acting as a subtle overdrive boost. Turn off the delays and boost the volume for a very cool analog overdrive. I’ve used that trick when mixing vocals.
Nice! What are you running it into when you do that? I haven't heard any overdrive type sounds while tweaking it but would love to try it out.
MAX DECAY I was using it while mixing using a Radial EXTC to connect with the DAW. It’s been a few months but just try playing guitar with no delay or repeats and crank the pedal’s volume knob. I liked the subtle overdriven sound of the pedal’s analog circuitry. I’d be curious to hear what you think.

The same goes for the Shallow Water. If you turn all the mod controls down, it just makes everything sound better.

Such a cool pedal! THat oscillation is rad. However, the time knob being backwards will forever break my brain. Counter clockwise to increase delay time? That’s crazy.
It really is! Haha I think of it more as a "speed" knob. The higher you turn it, the faster it goes. I got used to it very quickly.
This is typical for some classic analog delays, like the DM-2.
Do you see any reason to get this if you already have a Shallow Water and a Microcosm?

Nope, just a standard scale length tele with a 14-64 gauge string set, tuned down to B standard!
You should really note in the description that you're demoing this pedal with a bass a not a guitar. 🙁
