He will tackle corruption by hiring people from other countries to train new police officers and pay them so well that there will be no incentive to take bribes. He will then start to arrest and jail the worst offenders to encourage others to change. If he can only stop the government stealing directly from Ukraine’s treasury and them pocketing money that are given by EU and US. That would improve economy by itself. As far as Donbas war, that’s not a simple question. That will take time. But if you improve the life of the people in the rest of the country, it’s possible you people in Crimea and breakaway republics may reconsider what country they want to belong to. First you have to stop CORRUPTION and theft of countries money by the current politicians in charge.

How exactly is he leading his people? Instead of evacuating his civillians he instead motivates them to fight and for what? To become casualty and therfore gain other country's sympathy to send donations? For sure he is going to become the first hero who didn't actually do anything relevant. No tactical strategies, just maintaining an image but no relevant contribution. I don't see any of these aspect that sudgest him as a strong leader. I'm from Ukraine and unfortunatelly the picture you're showing is very optimistic. This current election is mostry a product of a very long term TV propaganda. For the last couple of years Mr. Zelensky was present on a TV in a variety of TV products. Beginning from a simple every day ads (jewelery company), every week comedy shows on a number of channels (mostly comedy), romantic comedy movies and even 3 season show with Mr. Zelensky as a president. All of his characters were only positive guys, associated only with success. No negative characters or losers whatssoever. You can say that he is an actor of one role. And comedy shows are certainly based on making a fool of any authority (which is ok for a comedy).
On the other hand - Mr. Poroshenko's authoroty have been massivly dropped by the same TV channels on which Zelensky's shows appeared. Ofcourse he had his share of cons, but most of his positive deeds were just dropped.
Sadly it's true that most of our people exadurate influece of a president and demand from him the things that are even not in his area of responsibility. And the fact that massive amopunt of people do not catch the difference between Mr.Zelensky and his fictional characters is very dissappointing. All of the people that vote for Mr.Zelensky do not think how he is going to fight wih corruption and ent the war - they just belive that he is a simple honest person, who just will make things work. Ther is no plan, at least Zelensky does not present one. And this is a point - without a plan anyone just make one up for himself and belive Zelensky will do it. Most of the election company Zelensky havn't been present on public, no interviews, no debates. And only for the last day before election day he finaly showed up. And showed his general arrogance in the questions of laws, policits and diplomacy. But since it was a last days - no time for people to think it over, get dissapointed and change their minds. People still see in him fictional character from TV shows.
Ant this was very clever! I'm sure this election company will enter the studies on politics. But not shure this contry scale experiment will end up well for the people.

Poroshenko is a bad choice, but if I'm forced to chose between him and someone worse, I'd definitely vote for the lesser evil. Poroshenko got an almost demilitarized country with an ongoing war and budget stolen by Yanukovich, it was a worst key scenario, what do we have today cutting almost all trades with an ex-biggest partner? The growing economy, wages, but also bills. Most of my friends who were interested in politics last 5 years at least would vote for Poroshenko, because, like the guy in the video said, he has a vision, he knows what he does, he is a strong leader who is not afraid facing the aggressive dwarf with nukes in his ass. Clown promises to do, but he has no idea how to do it, he has no members in the Rada, he has no experienced team. Thank God we gave up our nukes so that prank won't go so far to WW3.

I live here and I see what is happening in that country for years, I feel all the changes, my parents who own small business feel real changes since Poroshenko came to power. I'm making my choice due to existing facts and I'm a realist who prefers something known even it is not the best option (we had better candidates) rather than unknown. Even upcoming debates would be a show, coz it would happen at the stadium, not in studio as usual. Have you ever read how oligarchs appeared in post-soviet countries where everyone was equaly poor (except politicians)? Both Poroshenko and Zelensky are businessmen and we already had non-oligarchic Yanukovich who almost killed small and middle-sized businesses. No matter oligarch or not. As I mentioned, Poroshenko came to power and cut off ties with the biggest trading partner, who annexed part of my country and supports war in another just because Ukraine is no longer doing what cremlin says, reorganized army that was almost dismissed (who are we gonna fight back then, "brother" Russia or Nato? hah), national bank with half of its deposits stolen by zelensky supporter and budget half of its stolen by Yanukovich? Why all of you teaching me who to vote for while I live here and I see what's happening? Zelensky made a hype and a lot of people vote for him because he is a new face in politics but a known face at TV shows. What I prefer in Poroshenko is that he fluently speaking Russian, Ukrainian, English and Romanian, while Zelensky has mistakes when he speaks Ukrainian, we already had that kind of president, that's sucks.

It seems to me, in the West, anyone can be president. China is not a democracy, but Chinese president must have a proven record of competent governance. You must firstly run a village, then a township, then a city, then a province, then a metropolitan like Shanghai, then enter the political bureau in Central government, and finally, serve as VP, before you get to be the President. I don't know but that seems a lot more logical to me.
