The purpose is to be unique. I’d rather have 1 of 20 cars than one of 100,000 cars. This is coming from a person that owns a c8. I love Vette’s but they certainly aren’t unique.
Companies like Gagliardi are like exotic car start-ups. Back in the day you could build cars as you pleased now things are much complicated because of regulations and laws so now you have to start from regulated and proven designs like Boxter.

The Vex is the cheapest model they offer due to the non custom interior & Boxster donor..... Vendetta & Vengeance don’t need a donor car they can be made from a custom tubular frame which increases the price

@@Itr-tv7kt Exactly. Would an LS even fit in the engine bay? I'm thinking all the cost of doing that and making the drive-train function as it should would probably end up doubling the cost of the project. Might as well get a C8 with a warranty that will perform circles around this.

Also, for you FORD Fans there is a Company called Power by the Hour that can Build you a 5.0L Coyote V8 powered Cayman and they could probably Build you a Porsche Boxster version as well!...I am Just Saying!..God Bless America! 😇
@@DavidJSmith-hl6kb Good to know but then again there's the additional cost for an engine swap, which IMO isn't worth it when there's a superior turnkey solution with warranty...but for someone who _really_ wants a Gagliardi I guess there are options out there.

However, I have heard other owners of small car companies present themselves and their products. They just seemed to sound a lot more professional to me. Maybe their products are good or maybe they aren't, I honestly don't know.

I've been to his shop, he does good work and seems like a straight up good guy. The industry is loaded with ripoffs but he has lived up to promises to customers that i've seen. Did a nice job on the Vex. I'm sure the new c8 has put a damper on things but glad to see him continue with customer builds.
It is more important to look good than to feel good.
The logic beyond the scene. If you have extra money then this is good to collect. But if your money good enough for a vehicle ready for you to enjoy the beauty of every places. Then choice those car that completely made for you. Anyway, the car Vex is very brilliant one also. Thumbs up to the maker of this video and to the Company owner.

This is cool and all but for $45k a used gtr, audi r8 or even the new c8 might cost a tiny bit more. They will oyt perform and demand the same amount of attention if not more the vex
Now all you need is a c8. Warranty, design, future proof for probably like 20years, quality, and performance that will blow your mind under $60k

I think this is a good looking car,I have my own likes and dislikes with it, great alternative and for the price, its not bad at all. So many people have made comments that's obviously not educated and have never built anything for themselves.

Since Vex is built on 2nd hand Boxster, does Vex tell people how old the donor Boxster is? Like mileages and years?

By the time you paid for the doner car and the kit plus whatever else that came along, you would be into it for well over a hundred grand . For that kind of money, you might as well get a pre-owned original exotic instead of a kit car.

Spend new Porsche money for a old Porsche? I mean you could buy a gen1 lotus Evora in a manual and do some modifications for less money. Harrop sells stand alone superchargers and with how reliable the Toyota engine is it’s a better investment. Really don’t get why people don’t buy them. They’re dirt cheap for what they are, manual, reliable, and it’s easy to get more power out of them.

What are your top picks for an affordable 45k$ and under kits?
Personally I'm a big fan of the DDR GT8, Ultima Evo, and anything from Factory Five but those can all end up on the pricier end. For something really affordable you'd probably want to look at a Miata-based build like the Bauer Catfish (video soon) or Exomotive Exocet.

If you install the “kit”, do. You still have to remove the motor from the underside (for service) of the car “or” is the kit situated in a way that It can be removed to provide access to the engine?

$45k body after purchasing a Porsche chassis. Add it up = not worth it for old Porsche with a $45k body kit. That's why you don't see many if any of these.

I'd be lying if I said that this thing isn't pretty... The C8 is better as a sports car/supercar but the styling isn't 100% agreeable... If you take the C8 and just put this body over it it would be near perfect... that said, corvette looks the way it does because of generations of Corvette influence.

@Cali 6311 I don't wear any, YOU should though. It's pretty obvious from the get go that this and the Vendetta are kitcars. They look passable from afar but does NOT have the attention to detail that a million dollar car does. The new C8 looks far better than this, inside and out and thats a sub 100k car.
@Cali 6311 He's right, it doesn't look anywhere near that level. The back of the car doesn't even look finished. The body panel fitment is off, there's not attention to detail either. It looks like a car that took too many different features from other cars, but didn't improve on any of it, or combine them in a cohesive way.
Honda has the right idea back with the old NSX. What if we just want a car that ha does excellent and has a healthy motor, and the vehicle is communicative. TOYOTA HAS THAT idea, but its not the exotic look that Honda had. To bad because the new nsx are just over priced.

944 the "predecessor" to the Boxter? The only thing remotely alike is the badge on the hood. To equate driving a 944 to driving a Boxter is ridiculous.
I'm curious if you've ever driven either of those cars...although they may have a different drivetrain layout, there's clear entry-level lineage from 944->968->Boxster

This reminds me of those you tube videos where they were scamming people. Claiming for 30k they could build you a replica of any exotic car like bently and Lambo's. What does the owner of the company face look like. Who has purchases one of these cars and can admit to it on camera. The bike in the back ground while you were talking just made me wonder about how factual this is.
They don’t do Replicas but yes Gagliardi Designs is 100% legit .... I currently have a 120k$ built Vendetta
