A bit late to the party... is there any advantage to an accumulator that lays the bales on its edge? Seems more unstable to stack with a grapple
Yes you have to be careful when stacking but on edge gives better airflow through the bales when stacked. When you have to walk on them for whatever reason you aren't tripping over the strings either. On edge also allows for a narrower grapple. Our grapple is just wider than our skid steer so it works great.
One thing I see that I don't like is the baler and accumulator seems to bobble. I wonder if putting the left wheel assembly from a kicker baler would help that.
Yes it bounces alot. I'm not a fan of the how the hitch is mounted on the from of the baler. We need to modify it to tighten it up again.
