  • Kubota L5640 running a New Holland 565 Baler and Hoelscher Accumulator. Accumulator works amazing once all the fine-tuning is done. We've adjusted bale length to make 32-34 inch bales that weigh 50-55 pounds. The result is 15 bale bunches that, when loaded from the side of trailer, are 95-105 inches wide, maximum legal width.

Do you still have this setup? I just bought one and have a 565 baler. How is the accumulator hooked up to the baler?

The wagon hitch on the baler needs to be shortened and turned 90 degrees. Then drill a small hole on the opposite side of baler for the other support arm

What model is it that you are running? We have a 1000, but it only handles 10 bales at a time?

Mid Michigan Hay I think it is a 1000. Our bales are 32-34 inches long so that three just barely work on the Hoelscher and fill up a gooseneck nicely.

By shortening your bales and moving the trip arm back accordingly your able to run 15? Local dealer said they have a kit for it and you need upgraded push over arm (spring loaded end)

Chris Blake yes, our bales are 32-34 inches, about 40-50 pounds. Trip arm is one or two holes in front of the furthest back position. The upgraded, spring loaded push over arm isn’t necessary but would get rid of headaches when the push over arm is coming back down and catches the front of the fourth bale
