Looking at what's happening across Canada, UK, Europe, and the USA, this certainly appears to be a concerted effort of some kind. Perhaps I'm wrong, but it's beginning to feel like a war is brewing.
I don't really see the problem with viewing a dog as part of the family while simultaneously acknowledging it's status as an animal which is lower is the hierarchy of Gods creation. I agree that objectively, there's no real difference between eating a dog or a pig, but I do believe that a special, mutually beneficial relationship between certain animals (namely dogs and horses) and humans developed over a long period of time which gave these animals a higher status among those descended from indo european steppe warriors.
