Thank you for all your support over the years, I am proud to be releasing my second full commissioned project with this mod for WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2008, all credit goes to KOFHERO who has done incredible attire work for the mod as wellas adding wrestlers, themes and trons and filling out GM Mode. It may not be the most popular entry in the series and may be seen as the beginning of the decline of the series but this was the last one I played on PS2 and for me that was an end of era so I am happy to give back to a community that has supported me and put me in a position where I can continue to grow and commission projects for all of us to enjoy! - Ігри
Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the last number of years, we recently hit 10K subscribers on this silly little channel about wrestling games mods, an unthinkable goal when I first started making videos on wrestling games out of boredom many years ago. I love this community and I love being able to give back to you guys with mods. This has been a very fun project with DLC on the way around Christmas time but I am very happy with the mod in its current state which has a blend of mid 2006 attires up until Wrestlemania 23 so recreate some of your favourite matches from the era and enjoy the new superstars that have been added, this is my way of giving back to all of you who continue to leave comments and support this channel. Is it a free mod? Yes of course it is
What exactly was added? Information can be found in the ReadMe.txt
Does it work on OPL? It is being tested on OPL currently so I am hoping that it does work

Hey Sean. Were you ever able to sortout the popularity issues with added wrestlers in GM mode? Their popularity stays the same no matter what.
@@donahuedewaal1357 There was DLC released with a new memory card, I can't remember if we were able to solve the problem but you can always download the DLC and let me know

@@blaze6477 Use the save data that comes with the mod its there in the download it's a. Ps2 file. If you don't use it save data that comes with the mod you will run into issues

This is the SvR 2008 mod I've always wanted. If we had this roster officially in the game, maybe people wouldn't have complained so much about this game. I FUCKING LOVE YOU FOR THIS!

YES!!! one of the major complains i had about SVR 2008 was the lack of roster depth
There were dozens of people omitted from svr 2008 and the roster honestly felt hallow compared to the others. especially the WWECW roster.

Hey Sean, i’m having trying trouble playing the mod. I download the ISO file, and when I put it into the usb tool app, it says error at the end of its completion. Is there a work around for this problem? I usually play the mods using a usb drive and freemcboot. Thanks!
So this one seems to be very inconsistent on actual hardware, people have told me it works and others have told me it does not work at all so its possible that it won't run on actual hardware for you unfortunately :/
Finally a proper mod with modded attries and create wrestlers and not just hey all we did was mod the gear please buy our mod

hello im having a few issues with the mod nothing to major i just cant seem to access certain wrestlers in exbation and i can only access the main roaster in gm mode possibly more hope u reply so i can figure it his out:)
@@basedacid2290 Sounds like you havent implemented the save it comes with mod the .ps2 file in the download
You need to put the save in your memory card slot 1

Cheat file = pnach file
Directory = documents/pcxs2/cheats

You have not setup the memory card correctly!
You need to take the memory card labelled SVR08Plus.ps2
Place it in your Memcard Folder located at Documents/PCXS2/Memcards
Start your Emulator and configure the memory card
Place my memory card in slot 1 and play the game
If you want those wrestlers in GM Mode, place the cheat file (.pnach file) in your cheats folder and make sure cheats are on for your emulator

The memory card is not corrupted its been tested and it works fine, it is because you are trying to play on MAC

@@nostalgialounge1597 It's in the FAQ it says place the pnach file in the cheats folder located here: Documents/PCXS2/Cheats it is a simple cut and paste the file in there
If it doesn't paste/refuses to allow you to do so for whatever reason, it is a Macbook issue and I cannot help with that
I managed to sucessfully mod everything from SVR to 2007,can you just just send me a save file link for 2008,can't find it in files

But seriously,mod is fantastic,wrestlers you added,attire work is great,just played Nitro vs RVD and I marked out when I saw RVD WM23 attire. Looks perfect. You definetly deserve more subs. Thank you guys for making these games feel fresh again. Can't wait for Anthology and I still got to make DOR 1 and 2 working

It is a very difficult game but KOFHERO did an amazing job the way he went through everything was insane, top quality modder right there

Nope roster is unfortunately full and most people you requested would require custom models and only like 2 people in the scene could do this and it would cost me far too much money lol
i just wish that someone could mod SVR 2009 like this with the next things
-little extra attires for the roster
-correct titantrons for characters like big show and shelton benjamin
-correct music for people like lance cade and kane
-additional titantrons that fits the judgement day 2007-backlash 2008 timeline

This looks great. The OG roster was kinda lackluster, your mod will improve it alot. Haven't played 08 for ages, will definitely pick that mod up for some fun rounds. Good stuff!

Is this playable on real hardware through a softmodded ps2?
Some people have reported success with it, others have not
It seems a HDD Uploader on a Phat PS2 is the easiest way to get it run based on feedback
@@Seanomaniacwrestlingreviews like OPL or HD Loader? Even though HD Loader isn't supported anymore. But OPL/Open PS2 Loader should work woth it.
I tested the Mod on both PS2s that I have here at home. On my PS2 Fat, with an internal HDD, I was able to run the game perfectly (I use HD Loader) but you need to put it in compatibility mode 3
Unfortunately, on my PS2 Slim, with External HDD, the game went past the memory card loading screen... but after that it stuck on a black screen
I tested some compatibility modes but unfortunately without any success.@@elithewolf2250
Really appreciate how great this mod is! Thank you Sean! I wanted to ask, would you be updating the mod with stars that never made it into the game or people who came into the WWE later on. For instance, Kevin Throne or Matt Striker (as a wrestler). For people that came in later on, it could be like Cody Rhodes. Thanks for your great work!
No there are a limited number of model slots and they have all been filled, I wouldnt be able to commission people who never had a model made like Thorn or Striker ( It would cost me an arm and a leg and I wouldnt be prepared to pay for them)
As for Rhodes, he was considered like Miz and Marella but ultimately I decided to include the PSP exclusives over them
There was an update though a DLC one that added more attires

Wats going on bro this is a great mod but for some reason all the wrestlers don't show up. Rvd Angle & a few others won't show but their showing in the moveset list
Are you sure you are using the memory card that comes with the mod?
Are you sure that the memory card is in slot 1 of your emulator?
The memory card is labelled as a .ps2 file and instructions on how to set it up are in the readme, let me know how you get on

This game is very amazing. The GM mode is running as MyCareer mode to me. Injured for 6 more weeks. Very creative
so i'm using updated pcsx2 for this and it runs great but benoit can't be used it appears as cena and freezes before match start dont know why lol. i'm using your given memory card for slot 1. maybe i'm missing a step
EDIT: nevermind i was running the original 08 iso didnt realize there was the plus iso in the drive folder to download. XD all good here

I dont play on aethersx2 but I imagine you have not used the save that comes with the mod, it is a .ps2 file and you need it if you want the extra wrestlers

First of all, thank you all guys for all the hard work put into this mod. This is my favorite wrestling game ever. Second, I just notice that I cant use full roster on GM Mode. Also I would like to ask (I think I am asking to much) if its possible to use more than one championship on ECW? it felt empty without World TV and Tag Team championships. Thank you for the mod!

O.M.G insane this is one of the best wwe svr mod projects i have seen for the ps2 (no discredit to viper obvi) but man this is insane and the fact y'all gave 99% of the new modded in superstars new attires like trish CHEERY ON THE TOPPP makes me mad yukes deleted ariel from the game without a trace to be seen after she was able to see her model in action (the infamous green and black pig tails hair) back to the topic- you and kofhero really made one of the most lackluster roster in the wwe series in an unique clash of 2007-2008 with all the new fresh faces to play as now congrats on the 10k btw dude!!!🎉❤

I’m playing the game and I put the save data in on the emulator but everyone is still locked and the only new wrestler I can play as in this mod is Benoit. What am I doing wrong?
Are you sure you have selected the modded memory card? Because it sounds like you have not selected it and that is why all the people are not appearing

Do you have a proper outline of what you want? That all sounds quite vague
Smackdown Vs Raw as Big Show's Hog Lock, Chavo Guerrero's Gory Bomb, Eddie Guerrero's Wrist Lock With Bridge, John Cena's Cena Punch 01 and 02, Running Shoulder Attack 02, 5- Knuckle Shuffle and the second F-U 02, Last Call by JBL, Randy Orton's Super RKO and the Stretch Muffler renamed the Brock Lock. As for the clothing I would like with Kane the first clothing with the mask from the royal rumble 2003 and the second clothing without the mask from smackdown vs raw and the tintatron masked by Kane at the beginning of 2003 This Fire Burns, Big Show the first clothing is that of Wrestlemania 19 and the second clothing is that of the Royal Rumble 2003, Randy Orton smackdown vs rough clothing, Triple H the first black costume and the bandage on the right hand instead of the left, Goldberg clothing from Summerslam 2003 and Rey Mysterio a second clothing of red type. The legends change George Steele - Hillbilly Jim with Hulk Hogan 2003 and Ultimate Warrior, instead you replace the Legend Undertaker with his Lord Of Darkness 1998 version. Arena B of Smackdown with the one from 2000 and Arena B of Raw with the one from 2000.

The pnach file is for having the added wrestlers in GM Mode, you have to put it in the cheats folder located at documents/pcxs2/cheats and then enable cheats on your pcxs2
The readme tells you how to make the cheat work so if you intend on playing gm mode with added superstars check it!

To this mod? No none of them were active on the roster during the mod's timeline (mid 2006 to early 2007)

You would have to have a PS2 compatible with FreemcBoot to attempt to play this mod on actual hardware but results on hardware have been hit and miss

You dont put it in anywhere, if you want to add the extra attires, you add them manually to the game

I put the pnach file in the cheats folder and enabled cheats in PCSX2 but the added characters aren’t showing up in GM mode. Everything else is working perfectly and this mod is incredible.
Did you have a look at the readme where it explains how to make them appear in the GM Mode?

@@Seanomaniacwrestlingreviews One question, I downloaded your svr 2008, it works for me in aethersx2 on my cell phone, but I only have one fighter suit, how could I pass the save data because I didn't see any, I also found an extra folder that is for the additional suits. Where could I paste that folder in aethersx2? Thank you
The save data is in the download, there is a memory card save file (PSU) and a memory card called SVR08 Plus (.PS2) so I think you need to use the memory card (.ps2) as PSU cannot run on your device
As for the extra attires you cannot use them you have to inject them through tools and that will not be possible as you play on your phone, hope that helps ^^@@DarkLoq89

Place .ps2 memory card file labelled SVR08Plus.ps2 in your Memcard Folder (Documents/PCXS2/Memcards)
Start Emulator & Configure Memory Card
Select My Memory Card
Select SVR 08 Plus ISO
Play

Do you mean the GM Mode? In the readme there it explains you need to use the cheat file that comes with the mod to have wrestlers in GM Mode, you should take a look at the readme it could answer a lot of questions you have

Nope on the Sandman attire anyways, this is all accurate to the timeline for SVR 08 (Mid 2006 - Early 2007)
