My command was chosen to play a quarter of basketball with him at my base. WE ALL got a laugh as his 7ft frame could palm a basketball overhead HIGHER than any normal guy could jump.
He's AT BEST, the 6th best center of all time, so in the realm of 30ish is about right. Kareem, Wilt, Russell, Shaq, Hakeem are universally recognized as the top 5 centers. He's either top 6 or 7. Moses Malone was a beast as well.
If David Robinson played in today's NBA he would be the best Center in the league and maybe the best player. NBA players from the 90's were just different.

Additionally, jackson arrived to both those teams with the roster already assembled and producing. MJ was the greatest player in the world and pippen was ascending to all-star. David robinson had an outrageous 8 all defensive teams in an era that included ewing, hakeem, dikembe, and Zo. Who did duncan compete with defensively at PF aside from Garnett for most of his career? Robinson was the better scorer, better blocker by a mile, comparable rebounder, better free throw shooter, much better stealer and only was a worse passer than duncan. Robinson could have won five titles under popavichs direction with the teams tim had.
Tim was a great player don't get me wrong. Easily top 50 and probably top 20-25. But he is also one of the most overrated in the sport. He had the team to raise his status to greatness unlike kobe, shaq or mj who not only were head and shoulders better than their teammates but clearly showed it their entire careers and through most of the finals they led their teams to. Can you say duncan was better than tony parker or kawhi in the titles he won later on? I don't think so.
The Admiral was Giannes before Giannes. Every great player you see today, you can find a player with a similar game that played in the past.
Tim nearly had a quadruple double in the finals, but I heard he had 2 blocks that were his never counted. So we'll say he did and that the only quadruple doubles were on the Spurs!
