This game surprised the hell out of me. Videos do it no justice it looks so stupid in videos but once u play it ur hooked. Like SpongeBob crab borne in bikini bottom I love it. Magic conch guide my way
Still needed major polish before release on Xbox, I've feel threw mesh at least 20 times, fallen into infinity holes were your unable to do anything but watch your legs kick, and most of the bosses feel extremely similar with a massive 1 hit kill grab attack 2 modes and a longer range weapon then you to balance that the ai blindly swings till it's out of stamina, also ran into a bug were while grappling the squid in the vale area full of oil game would just lock into the mini game forcing you to hard reset your Xbox, and yes this was on the new Xbox, game has promise but 20 dollar game promise at most if anything for the extreme sloppy border meshing with the terrain, also the 3rd boss on the pirate ship ridiculously ignorant design with small area and in 2nd phase the bosses able to reach across full area while being full aggression, these guys made all the same mistakes every dark souls copy cat makes they struggle to make tuff interesting bosses with giving them a attack or grab that 1 shots you in the highest armor available at the time even with 100 health. This is definitely a game I'd have refunded if it wasn't on game pass before the 2nd hour due to all the issues.
@@Eidloneshard facts one of the biggest problems with the game, why are there more than a 1/3 of a second delay between me hitting the Dodge button on Xbox and the game registering it, the game is designed to make you block attacks way more than you would Dodge even without a shell
If you pair Shell Repiar with the Leeches stowaways, you can basically spam the spin top ability with the sauce lid. You're shell will heal itself and the leeches let you gain 3% HP for the damage you do to an enemy which let's you heal your self. If you don't care a lot about magic, then get the yougut shell. That shell is OP with the passive health gain you get with its ability.
I wish if you were going to make a 'beginner tips' video that you would only use clips and info from the first area. I don't want all this stuff spoiled.

This game got way better when I got the parry (which I feel like should be base kit) you will have a better time If you wait to fight the optional first boss (not the vending machine boss) it only gives around 750 scrap. This game tends to blur the lines between fun and frustrating but overall I had a good time with it.
@@nightstarxd7179it's in the skill tree on the bottom right, it definitely helps this game is designed around blocking attacks over dodging, you actually get penalized for dodging attacks, as they added over a third of a second of s between you pressing the button and your character taking the action for the Dodge button, which is my biggest complaint about this game, that in the fact that it really does feel like an AI just threw together everything

Underpowered combat with overpowered enemies, no objective markers, you legit get tossed into the ocean with no guidance. Thought this would be casual fun, not souls on 3 hits of cid. Boy was I wrong.
Heres another tip: if you are having trouble with a slow attscking hammer shell, jump and then attack. It makes it much faster to attack at the cost of being more vulnerable.

Use the upgrade that turns your shell in to hammer, it gives you sweeping attacks. Get a high deffence shell, and focus on BLOCKING, rather than dodging, this ins't dark souls, your shell blocks in all directions.
It's in the skill tree it even clearly states that it's not meant for larger enemies, but you can get a skill to Aiden this that will launch you toward them instead
There is a Stowaway that makes fishing large enemies easier. You actually have to FISH for it. Expired Grove, from the Curdled Village teleport location, go down to the 2 docks. There you can see ripples in the "water" (it's weird because the game takes place underwater, but that liquid pool is supposed to be gunk) that you can fish, when you aim your hook at them. One of them gives you the Stowaway to fish larger enemies

These are intermediate tips. I need beginner tips. What's a good way to practice dodging so that you're good enough to defeat the first boss? The ordinary enemies in the first section are easier to just rush so dodging actually puts you at risk.
The trick is to hold down and pull them toward the center. Red will be escape, green will be hooked. You want the mini-game to end green. Holding back will let you do this, but sometimes they get away. Later you can get abilities which let you use your hooks in other ways too, so the mini-game isn't super important.
I don't know how to access the settings menu and every time I search it just says tutorials for stuff IN the settings menu. and then it starts the tutorial just saying "so to start off with you'll want to make your way over to the settings menu" LIKE HOW
I lost my shell halway through the shellsplitter fight and i ended up beating him with no shell no magic and pure luck. I would give my soul to have the gameplay of my run 😢
I made a allmost unkillable charrecter no assist settings other then no pitfall damage i only use it because it is allmost impossible To survive it does high damage you can fall with less the 1 second and im playing on the Nintendo switch so i have stick drift
I have more than that in both games, and my first playthrough was harder than both of those. I died to Intimidation Crab more than Isshin Ashina. Both Elden Ring and and Sekiro teach you habits that just don't work well in this game. Second playthrough, however, is a complete breeze
First of all it isn't broken and it definitely isn't a mess, and secondly it's a small indie game, with a very few people working on it, they are patching quite fast, it isn't a AAA publish with massive budget and QA teams that is releasing an broken game I think there should be some slack given.

Dodge feels great, it's the attack that is really delayed.

I beat the game in one sitting. Having 500 hours on Elden ring and 200 on sekiro made this game way to easy for me
