Solo adventuring using the RuneQuest rules and the SoloQuest game books from 1982, with an additional adventure from the RuneQuest Companion from 1983.

Never saw these, way back when. First time I'm hearing of them, but I hope that they pan out for you....looking forward to hearing your takes on these. I'm more in the Magic World/Stormbringer camps, but those are still very RQ-like. At least to me. ⚔🍻
At least to a fair few - they are all part of the same happy BRP family 🙂
This series idea sounds like a lot of fun. And yeah, it does dovetail nicely with your Character Building vids. While I agree that sending different character types through the same adventure would become tedious beta testing, if your first choice dies then sending in a bench warmer would at least not leave us hanging mid-story.
Hah, good point. What would you suggest - the bench-warmer pick up from where we got to, or begin anew? I think I'd favour the former...
If I ever retire, I'd love to do some solo play on YTube using MERP or Tunnels and Trolls. I look forward to learning more about Runequest.
I have T&T play somewhere further down the to do list 🙂 Sort of waiting to see what Rebellion do with it.
I like the Runequest system, but never played through these (though I got them with the new RQ2 reprint)... so this should be quite interesting!
Pretty much the same here. I used to see the SoloQuest books on ye olde FLGS way back, but at that time - limited pocket money, and more on the hunt for Traveller and D&D materials. I'm looking forward to seeing how it pans out.

I'm truly curious to see each of the dream quests, primarily to get a better understanding of the aspects and strengths of each of them.
We'll see how the first pans out. You might change your mind after seeing the first one!
