By far my favorite runaway jim: the transition from the curtain into jim was awesome, that jam back into the end of jim is flawless, just so smooth and subtle. And that curtain is... Well what can I say, it speaks for itself. All in all the whole show is one of my top 3 of all time.
I just can’t rightfully call that a transition. Curtain With ends; Jim begins. I wish they took their transitions more seriously. Outside of ‘94, Phish transitions have generally been an allusive creature. Majestic when encountered, but oh so rare.
@@ecp6490 With never happened. Why it was a transition. It was just Curtain. No with. Trey bagged the With and went for a Jim jam. Which was awesome. I would have liked the With, but it happen.
That solo at the end didn't come from Trey, but rather from a different secret dimension hidden deep deep down in the sea of epic goodness that's phlowing thru him. Trey is just there to tap into it so it can phlow thru him and out into our dimension in a controlled way that we can connect to it allowing us to get a glimpse, just a taste of that unfathomable goodness that only a few can experience and tap into on their own. In that moment Trey is just nozzle connected to his guitar that's just a hose that he uses to pump that sweet forbidden fruit up from the depths spraying that epic goodness all over your soul quenching a thirst you never knew you had, a thirst that will now eat at you forever, an unsatiable thirst that always grows stronger and can only be quenched by one thing.
Trey stayed playing possessed in his earlier years. I miss it too but I definitely don't know why so many people have completely written off present day Phish smh.
Very hypnotic playing from Trey
i was there! 16 years old was amazing

Especially love the intense jamming at the end of Runaway Jim
I remember Trey's grinch shirt and Mike's day-glo like it was yesterday...
I have Clifford ball dvd set but sadly lost this disk and first set of festival
Great vid!
Trey is literally possessed during the "Runaway Jim" jam.
He is pretending to be a dolphin as he flows through his chords not that you would understand

It Was Called Love...
One of, if not, The tightest Curtain out there. Would've enjoyed a little "with" given the tightness. Jim filled the gap I guess..
Well all the fans had to wait till Deer Creek in the year 2000.
I think the Binghamton version from December 95 might be a just a smidge more precise. But this version is certainly on point.
Good Phish
Is 'Curtain' from Gamehenge? Does anyone know what to think of these lyrics? Or would you call it an example of poetic surrealism?
B day shoe regret full nah ..

Best part about Phish is nothing but to move .. a bigger ball is possible
I love the with but Trey clearly threw a curve ball with Jim. It would have been a great "with" too.
