You know, I have such a Love/Hate relationship with this channel... I LOVE ALLLLLLL these videos so verrrry much! I HATE however how dang SHORT THEY ALL ARE!!! At the very least make them 10minutes please!!!!. Or make a Part 2 to each video!!!! OR BOTH!!!!.... ❤️KEEP THEM COMING PLEASE!❤️ thank you for all the awesome work you all do!!!
Quite outstanding, it challenges the very idea of what it means to be a snail. Is is primarily human activity influencing the acidity change in the ocean?
+Lint Basically the amount of co2 we are putting out has reached a point where the ocean has increased its speed of carbon sequestration. the co2 becomes carbonic acid when it is absorbed (basically like carbonated water) and this acid dissolves calcium structures in marine life.
In Inuktitut they call them Tulugarnaq, from the word for raven, Tulu. There's a whole story behind it, but I don't want to give up so much time typing it up, especially when it can be found on the internet.
+Kora Rin It is a lancetfish (Alepisaurus ferox). Isn't it magnificent! Sometimes we find them washed up on the beach and it is quite a sight to see. They can grow up to 7 ft long (215 cm). Pteropod shells have been found in their guts.
They look a bit like baby squid. One of the carnivorous at 1:33 even seemed to have something like basic tentacles. Aren't they related? I wonder if they are a kind of transitional species to squid.
AAAWWWW!! That is the cutest thing I've seen all day, and I just watched Bei Bei the baby panda taking his first steps!

thank you for sharing this video. I had no idea these creatures existed, and it is fascinating to watch them swim!

+Lint Yep! All the toxic crud we put in the atmosphere has to go somewhere, and a lot of it gets absorbed into the ocean.

Maybe the possible sense of smell you mentioned is them detecting the mucus nets in the water
if these were made to be wallpaper screen savers i'd buy them on app store
It's like squids are evolving again! :O
The superlative mother earth. Thank.

Might be why they are called sea angels 😀

Yep, an invisible guy in the sky created floating snails in one day, because there was nothing better to do in the Universe.

Those are the feeding structures they mentioned

The sea angels are sooo cute. Until they eat. Eldrich abominations
1:15 On the other hand, the pteropods without shells are all carnivorous, and ... feed exclusively on the shelled pteropods. AWW... not so cute!
