Blue Magic really grows my hair. I’ve spent lots of money on expensive hair products, as my 4c hair is extremely dry. This is cheaper , softens my hair, used sparingly does not leave my greasy as one would think. Hurray for old school
Here from the UK... Yep it works.. Now using on my son's hair who has really dry scalp. Put on when it's wet, add Blue Magic and blow dry... Works a treat!!
I've used it all and nothing was working on my hair. I went to a dermatologist and he told me my hair wouldn't grow back. Well, I listened and told my mother in law what he said and she asked me what did your gma use on your hair as a child, and I responded blue magic hair grease. Long story short, I got rid of the perm and went back to my blue magic and the rest is history. My center is still thin but it's growing and the doc said it wouldn't but "GOD" & Blue Magic🥰
Greases aren’t harmful for the naturals. I don’t know who brainwashed us into thinking that when we got our scalps greased as children lol. My grandmother greases her scalp every other night as she’s been doing for YEARS and her hair is beautiful.
I'm just about over these "natural hair gurus" acting like our hair need 50 million rules to be maintained and grow. They are doing way too much and need to stop making it harder than it need to be. I used to get my hair pressed with Blue Magic and Royal Crown when I was a child and had no issues with my hair falling out or not growing.
iheartnola 504 well to be fair.. natural hair gurus are doing things for black beauty and wellness that weren’t being done before.. ( minus those who are perpetuating fraud)...young people of African descent are taking advantage of platforms that weren’t available in the 90’s and early 2000’s.....it’s really disappointing to hear 50 something year old people putting these young people down for very little thing that they do....these young ones are able to travel , communicate , and network better than ever before...it is odd for people to get annoyed when these young people talk about throwback hair dressing.. when they are doing something that you aren’t willing to do... you should be encouraging them not putting them down....
@@mauriceworthy7697 the only one being discouraged are people that would love to go natural but are turned off by Ill-advised "gurus" who make caring for your hair appear by harder than neccessary. For instance, I've heard several telling people that you should only wash your hair in cold water. Don't have a problem with advise but don't act like your hair is going to be damaged if washed in warm water. Especially when there are women, like myself who has been washing my hair in warm water for nearly 40 years, who experience zero negative consequences. I'm not going to go on with multiple examples but I think you get the point. This video is a prime example of passing on bad advice because when the whole natural hair explosion took off we were told not to use grease. So now it's a surprise to this young lady that it in fact may work for her hair. My point is that we need to be careful with what we are passing as facts. I have type 4 hair and I've been natural nearly my entire life (except during my early 20s). I have never had to take an entire day to do my hair. Some women will not go natural or if they do they go back to relaxers and sew-ins because of all of the do's and don'ts of natural hair care.
I disagree with you @ Fabrice Worthy, and u are bang on 504! I'm relatively young (35 loool) and I feel like the natural hair 'gurus' do over complicate looking after natural hair. It drives me nuts cos I put it off fir yrs. Going natural purely becos i thought it was too much work. Iv had relaxed hair since I was 9 yrs old and have now been natural for nearly 2yrs. My hair looks the best it ever has and I really dont have to overdo anything. Yes I wash and treat ofcourse but I dont use 10 millions products and all the extra add ons. It puts black girls off going natural and worse makes those that are going natural sercomb to 'protective styling' for 95% of the time.
iheartnola 504 you are deflecting.... it is inappropriate to paint all beauty gurus with a broad brush nor can you punish all gurus for the actions of other gurus...this young seems to be genuine, sincere and most importantly honest ... and you still come on her page...knowing that you cannot stand beauty gurus.. and put her down for not knowing the benefits of blue magic hair dressing products...she tells her audience upfront that she had bias against blue magic hair dressing products..I don’t sense any kind of arrogance or rudeness from this young woman... she is incredibly gorgeous and confident with her pixie Afro ...all I am saying is quit putting our young entrepreneurs down.. yes call out the scammers.. but don’t insinuate all gurus are scammers because they aren’t... everyone should be judged on their own merits ...
@E Spock well I don't like grease on my hair , really no type of hair products. I can't stand the feeling of hair products all in my hair . Lotion dries up though the reason I said pink lotion , hair grease gonna moisturize your hair and stay in it for at least 4 to 5 days. At least for mine .
I was born in the 70's and grease is what grew my hair down my back. Your hair would grow faster and longer by using it. Besides that, y'all young people do too much too your hair. It would also grow faster if you left alone. When I was younger, my mother washed my hair like once a month. Now I some people gonna say that my hair was dirty. Well that's another reason why my hair was down my back. Old school is the best..
I've come to realise with our natural hair less is more. Indian hemp with seedlike stuff in it was also awesome. Too many videos and products confusing and overwhelming Us. our hair is way more stronger than we give it credit for.
I used blue magic as a young kid and now. My hair has always been long & thick. Still long and thick. Oils does nothing for my hair. Yall sleep on it if you want!!
@American Born no I'm not the comment originator. I was saying when I initially read her comment, my mind auto-correct read it. I didn't even notice there was an error until you pointed it out 👍.
Im not sure why people are so amazed at Blue Magic and its been around for years! Im 44 and when I was a little girl and used to go to the beautician to get my hair washed and pressed she would use that on my hair. My hair was down my back. I still use it TO THIS DAY!! TO THIS DAY!!! 😂😂😂
I use it too. I'm surprised that I have to say at 43 years old, they're young and don't know it don't take all that product this and product that to take care your hair.
Yup that exactly what I’m saying!!! I’m 43 and got hella confused at all these thousands of of hair products in the beauty supply store!! Black woman are huge consumers of this and I feel a lot companies keyed in on that and that’s why black hair care is a billion dollar industry~ In the 80s and 90s it was a simpler cheaper time and I’d say Blue Magic was the go to product and our edges were in tact and I felt we did more damaging shit lol hot combing and them heavy ass dokkie braids lol but we still had our edges I repeat!! All this new shit is a scam to me so keep it simple 😊 Blue Magic Forever!! #GetyoJJFadon them chicks had real hair!!!
For the longest, I couldn’t figure out why my natural hair wouldn’t cooperate-it would dry out and break off so easily (and I’ve been natural for almost 10 years-tried everything-hair type is 4a/4b). Ever since I started back on Blue Magic-my curls pop, growth is ridiculous, and my hair is thick. I never had success with Blue Magic when I was younger because my hair was overly processed (mom was giving us monthly relaxers and letting it sit until our hair was bone-straight-😑😑😑). So, I can’t personally relate to “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” for Blue Magic, but a lot of the girls I went to school with who had long & thick hair used it faithfully...gotta be some truth then.
Alexandra4real Just the one in the blue called “Conditioner Hair Dress.” I use it every 2-3 days on my scalp and as a sealant on my hair after moisturizing with “BB’s Oil Moisturizer with Castor Oil.” Some old-old school stuff. The curls literally will last you all week if you “pineapple” or use a silk cap-you just freshen up in the morning with your favorite oil and water mix (I used olive oil and regular tap H2O).
Halimah M I don’t really do wash and go’s because my hair frizzes by the end of the day (I have thin strands, but high density, & normal porosity). I do shingle method on damp hair with a water-based product first (BB’s Oil Moisturizer)-let that dry 75% and massage a quarter sized dollop of grease in my hands to lightly massage into my curls as a sealant. Finally, I dip my fingertips in the jar and massage in scalp/edges (I do scalp treatment every 2-3 days). Let me add that this combo does create some build up over the course of a week so I clarify/deep condition every 2-3 weeks and co-wash weekly. I barely have any shedding. “Photogenic Hair Care”-mandatory shingle method and Blue Magic in the blue to seal work wonderfully together too.
My grandmother could grow hair on a rock, she use to mix Royal Crown, Sulfur 8 Vaseline and Blue Magic along with other stuff I’m unaware of and we had long Beautiful healthy hair.
I just gonna keep it real. Thick coarse natural textures need hair grease!!! I feel that the only people that are mixed with softer textures can get away with not using grease. I followed the craze of the no grease bandwagon and boy did my hair suffer got brittle and dry no matter how much natural oils I used and co washed.
Girl, say it. My Dad's side of the family would use grease on my hair when they did it. So I had blue magic no my hair when I was little. However, after I became natural and I was researching, I heard all these horrible things about grease and did want to bother with it anymore. Well, Efik Zara turned me back on to grease, and I ain't never going back, ya hear? I ain't NEVA goin' back! LOL.
I have looser not super coarse curly hair. Grease holds the moisture better and makes it smooth. Keeps my split ends at bay. Love it. I use the castor oil blue magic. Might try the original blue one.
Cholesterol cream for conditioning and blue magic grease for styling were the two main products my mother used in my hair as a kid. All the products we used were pretty cheap and my hair was so healthy until I started relaxing it as a teenager. After two years natural, I decided to ditch the expensive products and go back to what we used as a kid. My scalp doesn’t itch anymore, my hair finally retains moisture and doesn’t look so frizzy
I suffer from dry scalp and hair. I can style my hair, and the next day it’s dry. So I went back to using blue magic grease and my hairs stays defined and moistured for a week ! It helps me get better curl definition- and my styles last much longer. I personally don’t follow many natural hair rules, they stray from what’s actually helpful for our hair.
My hair was down my back at age 7. My mother would wash and press my hair every two weeks, couldnt go outside until my hair was fix. Ahe had a friend Ms. Gloria that started pressing my hair in her kitchen. My hair was long and thick. I couldnt do my own hair until I was 16.
I’m so happy naturals today are going back to blue magic... these natural hair care products are so expensive. I’ve been using it for my natural journey and I love it! It makes my hair look better than any conditioner I have
My mom has always used this. When she walks away from me in the store, I just sniff the air until I find her. Lol. Just kidding. But we have been using this for decades.
simplycbh thank you!!! Exactly!!! I mean are we trying to keep away vampires or something?!?! And all that garlic eating and drinking it and putting it in your hair, can you give us tips on the smell and odor coming out your pores and skin?!?! Now that’s some valuable information we could appreciate!!! I can only imagine!!!! I don’t want to offend no one!!!! Priceless information us with that please?????
I honestly don't know why so many people talk bad things about hair grease when it's literally going strong on sales and shelves. It's around for a reason...because it still works and it isn't going anywhere. It actually works so much better than so many of the natural hair products and would have disappeared a long time ago if it was such a bad thing.
I use Blue Magic on my daughter hair. People always comment on how beautiful thick healthy and long her hair is. And I can blow dry it... no breakage. Old school and the best method for children and me x
Ma'am thank you I'm about to get back to my roots!!! I've tried EVERYTHING! I've used a mix of Shea butter, coconut, Olive, tea tree and peppermint and my scalp STILL ITCHES AND IS DRY. My hair be so dry too and this after one day of putting it in. I be soooo pissed y'all lol. So I'm going back to using grease because it honestly never failed me. Listening to the natural community had me thinking it was soooooo bad ugh I was an idiot lol
Don’t feel bad most of us felt the same way I went back to blue magic , blue magic Indian help and bought the blue magic sure grow too I’m keeping it simple grease, water and maybe a leave in and I’m good and for maybe a wash and go gel 3 things that’s it
The oils can also cause itch scalp...especially police oil because it feeds yeast.....I just use oil frp.prepoo, I mix some in my grease..... Jamaican black castor oil I use it on the hair itself
I went back to hair grease a 1 year ago. I use it as my sealant. Not only my hair stays moisturize for the whole week but It also keep my with length retain. I hate how naturals nowadays believe that it's bad for your hair. When that's the reason why most black girls who had long hair had long hair. If young black mother's today use it along with actually doing their daughter hair( not just keeping it in weave) more likely black girls would have longer hair. Most lil black girls I see nowadays have average length hair for a black girl.😬
I stopped using anything pure and unnatural to moisturise my hair and after 7+ years I'm finally admitting to myself that my hair was at its best when I was using blue magic. So I find myself back in its clutches 😌 Will see how it goes this time around.
This is literally why I’m here. My hair thrived 2 years after a big chop and during Covid I was doing all types of styles and it was so long and thick. So I’m revisiting it after being a year+ out from dying my hair and growing out the color
I remember going crazy for all these hair products. Never again, most of these hair company just want money. They claim their product will make your hair healthy and strong just to trick people. I use to have like 10 things now I cut it down to 4 products.
I signed up to one of those hair box company with monthly shipping to realise that it was the same price as if I BOUGHT them my self - will finish what I have- they are all the same
like every girl - it looks like the inside of a beauty supply store - from every brand you can think of- Aiming to finish al of the products- make a note of what works well, combining with other products that don't - so far nothing is that deep
I just went back to Blue Magic a few months ago... it keeps my hair nice and soft! 😊... “Natural oils” do nothing for my hair itself! Scalp sure... hair HELL NAH!!! As a child I we used Sulfur 8... but I’m cheap so the Blue Magic is good!
@@semoneg2826 fast forward I don’t use any of it unless I am wearing twists or braids. I don’t use anything on my scalp anymore really. Except for wen I have braids I’ll use some oil. I love that shine! 😂
I’ve switched back to blue magic about a year ago. I was tired of hard crunchy flaky products and honestly my wash and gos last Waaaaaay longer with the blue magic grease. I just make sure my hair is Moisturized with aloe Vera first then lock in that moisture with grease. Water and grease also gives me AMAZING curl definition I just make sure my hair is super de tangled first. The only thing is with a grease wash and go the first couple days you’ll want to wear your hair up bc it’s super greasy but after that it’s smooth sailing 🏄🏽♀️
Yeah but we all don't like greasy hair . Grease stay in my hair and I'll have to wash it . That's why I put it on my scalp . Idk about other but I hate greasy oily hair .
i never had a perm before and i stick to what i know. blue magic, BB lotion, and sulfur 8 are an old staple but they work wonders. people wonder how i could cut my hair short and it grows right back to where it was quickly. Those 3 things are a must have
I’m always telling other naturals on other UA-cam videos to go back to hair grease but they don’t want too 🤦🏾♀️🙄 and they wonder why their hair hasn’t grown as much or barley does.
Yes! worrying about breakage and thinking it's because they need protein treatments when the hair IS protein. It is literally made up of protein. Grease is all I use.
@@fayepatrice1672 Im almost 40 and Ive been natural 36 years out of those 40. Shea is cool bc it's natural. It's made for our hair, skin, nails, etc.. It's all these so called "natural" brands that are making money and killing our beautiful hair.
I recently gave up all the oils, puddings and creams and went back to the blue magic my grandma used to use on my hair. my hair is softer and stays moisturized longer between washes. no more crispy fried feeling. less hair comes out when I detangle.
I've never jumped on the expensive hair product trend... softee and blue magic is all I use.... I get all my hair products from Dollar Tree accept my Queen Helene cholesterol
My beautician back in the days would roller set my hair and before she combed it out, she would take a dab of the "Green Bergamot" and rub it on the curls before the comb out! I have not found a "Shine Product" to give you a "Pop of Shine" like that!
I still use blue magic blue & green jar just for greasing my scalp. My scalp stays moisturized longer. I've never use those b4.. Thanks for sharing: stay blessed😍
I have 4c hair & i've gotta say that the blue magic with castor oil is really good. Some may not like the fruity scent that comes with it, but it's really great for growing out edges. I get very little to no breakage when using it.
Grease WORKS but with blue magic I can’t get past the smell. I’m using Kuza just bc I prefer the scent over blue magic. Also Kuza is VERY hydrating! I just wash and don’t even condition and this is enough for my 4c hair :)
I use the green grease for my daughter. I notice a huge difference in the way her hair absorbs water when wash day comes around. She's low porosity and it used to take a looooooong time for her hair to really be wet. Now after a shampoo you can tell her hair retained most of the moisture from the previous wash because it doesn't take as long. It's almost like the grease also works as a pre-poo. The shampoo takes out the grease and dir, but it's not stripping the moisture from the hair like it used to.
@@HisNameIsUnique idk if they have their own shampoo. I've always used Aussie Moist shampoo for her hair because it doesn't strip as bad as most shampoos. I hate constantly switching products, so I stuck with it and just tried adding blue magic to the regimen after seeing another UA-camr start using it again.
YASSS!!!!!! girl i use the green one too please tell me you use it for your hair too that shit is amazingg green one my fav especially for people who have breakage !!
It's amazing how 'grease' is back in. Remember when the community said it was the devil? Ha! Grease is my friend and my hair enjoys it. Unlike oils, I can go like a week without putting any moisture in my head.
Loca Baby Cashiers look at me crazy when they see me with grease🤣. I’m using softee brand castor oil since it’s lighter than blue magic. I got to find me a 64 oz jar to last the rest of my life.
I remember Blue Magic and Sulfur 8 in my childhood. It was a greasy childhood. It got more interesting on the days my mom used the hot comb on the stove 😩
I've been used Blue Magic hair grease ever since I started taking care of my own hair. After so many years of preming n cutting my hair. I decided to go back natural for 4 years now two years ago I stumbled on Blue Magic hair products in this hair store in the neighborhood where I live. I have 4c hair Blue Magic got this one called Argan Oil with mango n lime leave in conditioner. It restore ha it's natural moisture balance. The other one I love is their hair food with wheat germ oil n coconut oil my hair just sucks it up. It also prevent hair breakage n for dry brittle hair. Lady if u still do your own hair go to a hair product store n pick a jar u might like. The prices r great too under.5 dollars.
I have been using it since I was a baby and now m 29. I 💖 the smell and how it makes my hair strong and healthy. But I didn't know Blue Magic has other stuff. Will check them out.
Glad your acquainted yourself with these products. Its been around forever. That's all I use. We perm and weave too much and 4got what we used before them.
Can’t go wrong with Old School products. Our moms used it on our hair when we were young and most of us had really long hair 😊 I have been wanting to return back to using this.
Yo Blue Magic is the truth. Like I always put my hair in a protective hairstyle and use wigs. I'm constantly mositurizing my hair.So when it was time for me to detangle and prepoo. It was such an easy detangling process. I wear twist then I braid the twist in a beehive and tuck my ends. I had my hair like this for 3 months of course still moisturzing and spraying . I had so much growth.
I'm only 21 but I've been natural all my life. & I can't tell u how happy I was the day natural hair 'blew up'. I've always greased my scalp & hair. I've always retained length.
I just started back again using blue magic the right way( yes I was kinda naive while using it when I was younger lol) and it leaves my hair so, so soft and easy to manage. But, it’s always very essential to moisturize your scalp before putting it on.😊
I used this when I was a young woman, I'm 67 now.So I will be trying the product again. I was wondering if you would mind sharing your lip color and product. It looks gorgeous on you. Thank you for your wonder videos.
You know blue Magic grease really helps your hair to grow my mom used it on my head since I was a kid. I still use it til this day and my hair is still growing.
So my 13 yr son has long hair and on top of that he wanted some of it dyed (the tips). I've tried countless products and his hair would not curl right and was very dry ALL THE TIME! I recently seen a tube on blue magic. I've had the one with coconut oil for awhile in the cabinet. I decided to try it with another brand of curl definer and it did the miracle! He woke up this morning and was juiced at how nice his hair was....still curly, still moisturized. I think I've found his dry hair cure! Thanks blue magic....
Definitely bout to start sticking to grease and water only again cause these curl conditioners be making my hair have so much build up and it's too much I have really thick hair and it's curly so I'm sticking to what we USED to use when we were kids growing up as a 90s kid my hair was damn near towards the middle of my back
Videos like these are a great benefit to most of the 18 and under generation who really dont get taught about their hair or how to do it. Grease is great used in moderation, we was just acting boujgee in our beginning natural phase.
I use this same grease and love how it grows my hair. I found out that the itchy scalp is stimulating hair growth. My scalp itches 3 days after I grease my scalp. I don't mind the itch because I know my hair is growing 🤗🤗
That's what happens to me. I just think that I'm allergic to oils, grease and conditioner on my scalp. I just pre poo or do a hot oil treatment weekly . I add the oil to my scalp only at that time to avoid the itchiness.
Itching is not a sigh of grow it from the parfum and from some thing they put on it. It can buildup too. Me in the past I had this problem now I dont use grease and I use oil in my scap and I dont have this problem now. If you want to use it use it in your hair to bloc moisture is not a good thing to use in the scalp. If a product is for the hair is bad to use it in the scalp.
i thought the itch was from my hair still being dirty or something idk but every time i cut all my hair off my head is itchy until it grows back lmao so i figured it was hair growth also.
My grandma use to use blue magic on my hair with a hot comb. I rarely grease my scalp now cause it gives me dandruff, but an O.G product I'll still grab is b&b. I mainly use Carol's daughter liquid hair balm on my hair to give it shine and it has no parabens so you can oil your scalp with it too. 👏🏾👏🏾
After a few days are naturally going to flake up. I still use Sulfur -8 Hair & Scalp Conditioner which is another grease that you can find in stores and beauty supply store. You can always use Tea Tree Oil and Castor Oil for the itchiness if you don't want to use a grease on your scalp. I'm "Old School" and will never give up my "grease"!
To my suprise 😊 yesterday I bought 3 types of blue magic creams and today I am watching this video. I always use super gro for my hair and add jamaican castor oil to it. I makes my hair moisture for days also my hair grows strongly and healthy. Love blue magic brand😍
Hello Everyone!!!! 😊 Who remembers "Dixie Peach" hair grease? Also Royal Crown, Sulpher 8 and yes, the Blue Magic line of hair care products. Sometimes the basic old ways are best. ❤️
Back to the basics, mama, big mama's way.... This is what has been put in our hair as a child, wash, conditioned, greased and braided, that's it. No heat, relaxer etc....
I find using the blue magic on freshly washed hair. Then after that a maximum of 2 days after then I go to my oil mix for the scalp. Any longer it gets cakey on my scalp. Other then that I do swear by bergamot! Love it 👊🏾
I always keep a jar of original blue magic and used the green one as a kid. I think they're the only brand who has a vegetable oil shampoo like Madame CJ Walker. I'm trying to get through my stock pile to try my twist outs with grease. I may UA-cam it idk. Happy New Year!
Read about half of these comments and agree with all y’all. I came here because I had already decided to go back to old school hair products. I spent so much money on new school stuff because I watched way too many videos of so-called natural hair gurus. I am done. Keeping my money and going back to the basics.
I use the Softee Indian hemp as well and its the GOAT. I just tried the coconut oil by blue magic and that ones nice as well. I really wanna get my hands on the blue one and the Indian hemp by blue magic.
I started using grease in my hair again in october and I definitely prefer that or vaseline or baby oil for my hair personally. That was what my mother used in my hair as a kid
When I used to lay my head on the window on the school bus and when I sat up I saw that greasy ass spot on the window 🙄🙄
LMAOOO SAME GIRL. SAMEEEE 😭😭😭

Greases aren’t harmful for the naturals. I don’t know who brainwashed us into thinking that when we got our scalps greased as children lol. My grandmother greases her scalp every other night as she’s been doing for YEARS and her hair is beautiful.
Torey Horton does she use water on her hair or scalp with the blue magic or just on dry hair?
Blue Magic only.
Exactly! I grease my scalp, my husband and children's scalp every other day.
🗣️💯💣❤️
I used the coconut blue magic and grease my scalp twice a week, brush my hair every night.
Well if it was true for you it must be true for everyone 😞
I’ve been using Blue Magic and Sofee forever, and my hair has always been healthy for years! Stop wasting $40+ on these products!
$40 and the products dnt wk. We need to start promoting grease these expensive so call natural hair products that dnt do sh#t.Grease grease grease !!!
A lot of people don't want greasy hair so use pink lotion .
@E Spock you can by the no oil kind tho...
Yeah
Blue magic grease isn't new, many of us had it used on our virgin hair as kids.
Yup!
Queeny
Queeny Kaay ok
I used doo gro for my hair
You pretty
I was born in the 70's and grease is what grew my hair down my back. Your hair would grow faster and longer by using it. Besides that, y'all young people do too much too your hair. It would also grow faster if you left alone. When I was younger, my mother washed my hair like once a month. Now I some people gonna say that my hair was dirty. Well that's another reason why my hair was down my back. Old school is the best..
I usually have braids can I use is on my scalp. Do I havd to wash my hair or can i use it without washing
Agree...less manipulation equals growth
Which blue magic hair grease did you use ?
@@Jennyxx-ie5jw The blue and green one.
Yep old school ❤
Blue magic stayed in my household, that's all we used growing up. I can identify that scent in 2 seconds.
NYChick101 yessss😭😂
I've come to realise with our natural hair less is more. Indian hemp with seedlike stuff in it was also awesome. Too many videos and products confusing and overwhelming Us. our hair is way more stronger than we give it credit for.
omg you can say that again 😂 totally agreed
I used blue magic as a young kid and now. My hair has always been long & thick. Still long and thick. Oils does nothing for my hair. Yall sleep on it if you want!!
@American Born dang how did I skim over that!? 😆😆😆 I got the point of what she was trying to say though.
@American Born no I'm not the comment originator. I was saying when I initially read her comment, my mind auto-correct read it. I didn't even notice there was an error until you pointed it out 👍.
@American Born LMAOOOO. Pure ebonics folks. I'm sorry. Too funny. I was saying( I used ) but somehow it got fuqqed up and I didnt proof read)😂😂
Same!! Sis oils make my hair super dry!! #Grease
@American Born she used it then.. N still uses it now
I started back using Blue Magic 3 weeks ago. Did a shampoo last night and less shedding and my hair is now thicker. Wow! Old school all the way now!
Alitha Smith LMFAOOO 😂
I use it too. I'm surprised that I have to say at 43 years old, they're young and don't know it don't take all that product this and product that to take care your hair.
🗣To THIS DAY!!!
ME TOO GIRL ITS THE SHIT !!!
Mood! It's so much better tbh
Which Blue Magic products do you use?
Alexandra4real Just the one in the blue called “Conditioner Hair Dress.” I use it every 2-3 days on my scalp and as a sealant on my hair after moisturizing with “BB’s Oil Moisturizer with Castor Oil.” Some old-old school stuff. The curls literally will last you all week if you “pineapple” or use a silk cap-you just freshen up in the morning with your favorite oil and water mix (I used olive oil and regular tap H2O).
@@BT-qs8st so are you saying you wear your hair as a wash n go with the grease?
My type 4c Nigerian hair loves blue magic
My grandmother could grow hair on a rock, she use to mix Royal Crown, Sulfur 8 Vaseline and Blue Magic along with other stuff I’m unaware of and we had long Beautiful healthy hair.
Don't give out the secrets. I want the prices to stay low. 😎😂👍
aw man sho wish i knew wut the "other stuff" is XD growth is good!!
attractgr8ness no! We need em!!! We all want some long healthy hair!
Beautiful Ross my grandma as well. The other ingredient was liquid Glover’s mane.
Nicole Marie that sounds familiar
I started using grease again and yes hair is soooo much softer.
So true...it depends on the density of your haiir
Sulphur 8
Posner Bergamot

@@sandravirgile7102 omg yeah. Murphy's pomade.
I still use Royal Crowne I wish i could find Dixie Peach
Cholesterol cream for conditioning and blue magic grease for styling were the two main products my mother used in my hair as a kid. All the products we used were pretty cheap and my hair was so healthy until I started relaxing it as a teenager. After two years natural, I decided to ditch the expensive products and go back to what we used as a kid. My scalp doesn’t itch anymore, my hair finally retains moisture and doesn’t look so frizzy
Yep!! Cholesterol, blue Magic and Liv was a staple items growing up and now I too am back to the basic.
Damn all the black mommas used this on little black girls hair and a lot of black girls would have long hair as children.
Facts! All I promise you - all of us had long, thick plaits.
Royal Crown and Blue Magic are hair greases that I use on my hair. Works great if you keep braids or crotchet.
Sometimes my Aunt will use blue magic for my box braids and when I take them out ( about 2 months later) my hair is still moisturized!
I’m so happy naturals today are going back to blue magic... these natural hair care products are so expensive. I’ve been using it for my natural journey and I love it! It makes my hair look better than any conditioner I have
Yes people doubt grease no much now! We used it as kids and our hair was healthy AF when momma was doing our hair! Lol
Amen to that. All these natural products. People making money. I had hair AND EDGES when I used blue magic. Think I am gonna go get some now.
Blue magic and regular castor oil do wonders for your hair...Been using it for over 40+ years..Thanks for sharing
My mom has always used this. When she walks away from me in the store, I just sniff the air until I find her. Lol. Just kidding. But we have been using this for decades.
Lol

Garlic shampoo is great for hair growth, it grows your hair very quickly. Garlic is also great for riding the body of colds.
debra james wow u amped up
debra james she’s saying YOU ARE amped up 😂 With all of this garlic which isn’t really proven to right any of this but hey 🤷🏾♀️

debra james exactly! U never explained or commented on the odor/smell???!!! I’m curious??? Enlighten me......... I’m waiting!!!! 😆
I honestly don't know why so many people talk bad things about hair grease when it's literally going strong on sales and shelves. It's around for a reason...because it still works and it isn't going anywhere. It actually works so much better than so many of the natural hair products and would have disappeared a long time ago if it was such a bad thing.
you are one of the most beautiful women i have seen in my life!!
I use Blue Magic on my daughter hair. People always comment on how beautiful thick healthy and long her hair is. And I can blow dry it... no breakage. Old school and the best method for children and me x
Now, this is what good hair looks like...thick and healthy!
Don’t feel bad most of us felt the same way I went back to blue magic , blue magic Indian help and bought the blue magic sure grow too I’m keeping it simple grease, water and maybe a leave in and I’m good and for maybe a wash and go gel 3 things that’s it
THATS RIGHT GIRL😂
I get braids in put it on my scalp a few times a week and I keep my braids for two to three months
Princess Yonna ♡ same!!
How often do you use blue magic on ur hair or scalp?
I stopped using anything pure and unnatural to moisturise my hair and after 7+ years I'm finally admitting to myself that my hair was at its best when I was using blue magic. So I find myself back in its clutches 😌
Will see how it goes this time around.
This is literally why I’m here. My hair thrived 2 years after a big chop and during Covid I was doing all types of styles and it was so long and thick. So I’m revisiting it after being a year+ out from dying my hair and growing out the color
I love blue magic grease but I love the indian heap
Indian hemp is GOLD
Hemp is the goat!
That's what i use
Sincerly Ashby Yes Indian hemp is the best for growth and thickness
I use the blue grease as a sealant.
2019: not one hair company finna get a coin from me - using what I have in my cabinet thank you..next

I remember going crazy for all these hair products. Never again, most of these hair company just want money. They claim their product will make your hair healthy and strong just to trick people. I use to have like 10 things now I cut it down to 4 products.
I signed up to one of those hair box company with monthly shipping to realise that it was the same price as if I BOUGHT them my self - will finish what I have- they are all the same
tiverton road ...so tell us what is in your cabinet... don't keep it a secret... lol
like every girl - it looks like the inside of a beauty supply store - from every brand you can think of- Aiming to finish al of the products- make a note of what works well, combining with other products that don't - so far nothing is that deep
Jessica B. It’s the other way around for me, I like oils too, but it dries my scalp out, I’m going back to grease & 💦
I mixed my oils in the grease or only use the oils for pree poo

Blue magic has always been a hair staple in every natural Afro home from time!
So you don't use gel with it?
How do u do this?
Yeah but we all don't like greasy hair . Grease stay in my hair and I'll have to wash it . That's why I put it on my scalp . Idk about other but I hate greasy oily hair .
If it's super greasy you are using to much. You can reap the benefits of grease without walking around greasy. Use sparingly.
i never had a perm before and i stick to what i know. blue magic, BB lotion, and sulfur 8 are an old staple but they work wonders. people wonder how i could cut my hair short and it grows right back to where it was quickly. Those 3 things are a must have
I’m always telling other naturals on other UA-cam videos to go back to hair grease but they don’t want too 🤦🏾♀️🙄 and they wonder why their hair hasn’t grown as much or barley does.
Ayanna Faulkner it’s been interesting experimenting with grease! I didn’t know there was a world of naturals out there who swore by grease
Yes! worrying about breakage and thinking it's because they need protein treatments when the hair IS protein. It is literally made up of protein. Grease is all I use.
QueenyKaay grease is amazing that’s all I use, well 😁 I use only 2 moisturizer and eucalyptus oil and castor oil on my scalp and that’s it 😌
How is it compared to Shea butter? I whip it up at home with olive oil to seal after my leave in conditioner.
Roena Skates lol rite thats old school when stuff was real.no add ins.

I’ve never heard of green bergamot. Where do you buy it?
I still do it to my clients hair

Hmm... This makes me want to try it out soon.
So Blue Magic has its own specific shampoo? Or does it even really matter which shampoo you use?
@@HisNameIsUnique idk if they have their own shampoo. I've always used Aussie Moist shampoo for her hair because it doesn't strip as bad as most shampoos. I hate constantly switching products, so I stuck with it and just tried adding blue magic to the regimen after seeing another UA-camr start using it again.

Hair grease is a all time go to product. When i was young my grandmother would use Dax hair grease.

I never put blue magic in my scalp because of how thick it was. I would only apply it directly on my hair to make my hair soft. I like the product
Definitely bout to start sticking to grease and water only again cause these curl conditioners be making my hair have so much build up and it's too much I have really thick hair and it's curly so I'm sticking to what we USED to use when we were kids growing up as a 90s kid my hair was damn near towards the middle of my back
I used Blue Magic for almost 20 years. It's so fascinating that it's treated like a novelty now. Changing times, I guess.
Videos like these are a great benefit to most of the 18 and under generation who really dont get taught about their hair or how to do it. Grease is great used in moderation, we was just acting boujgee in our beginning natural phase.
Blue Magic hair grease has been around for years and this is all my daughter used on her four girls hair. Good product 😊
Interesting!
i thought the itch was from my hair still being dirty or something idk but every time i cut all my hair off my head is itchy until it grows back lmao so i figured it was hair growth also.
RBrebis Décor Thats your hair though! What doesn’t work for you may work for others. SMH
Blue magic works best to keep my hair soft for agesss
Blue Magic is the stuff. I would rather buy this than a bottle of 20 dollar product that won’t moisturize my hair.
You should try Dax Kocatah. It helped me with dandruff.
@@tiffanyrosej5802 wow OK I'll that in mind. Thanks for the suggestion.
I still use my blue magic. 2 a month. Keeps my scalp dandrif free and my hair nice and fluffy.
Yass gurl!💗
yes to dixie peach. it smelled really good. i wish i could find it.
Back to the basics, mama, big mama's way.... This is what has been put in our hair as a child, wash, conditioned, greased and braided, that's it. No heat, relaxer etc....
Put water firs then seal just Grease won't hydrate your hair.
Blue Magic is a must for me! After every wash I do what my mom use to do to my hair as a child. I part it and grease my scalp
The other products must be 'Johnny come lately' because when I first noticed it (Blue Magic) back in the 70's there was only the hair grease.
I never tried blue magic but I use Softee Indian Hemp love it !! I wonder if it’s a diffence between the two 🤔
Indian Hemp is great. Idk the difference but I feel like a lot of people also love Indian Hemp
I use the Softee Indian hemp as well and its the GOAT. I just tried the coconut oil by blue magic and that ones nice as well. I really wanna get my hands on the blue one and the Indian hemp by blue magic.
The Blue Majic Super Sure Grow helps with eczema too.
I started using grease in my hair again in october and I definitely prefer that or vaseline or baby oil for my hair personally. That was what my mother used in my hair as a kid
A little water, Blue Magic, Sulfur 8 medicated and African Pride oil kept my hair thick and long as a child. Time to return to my roots!
