the recurring themes I find that makes for good Bass House are: dubstep drums and bass, mixed in with some two step rhythms add in some layered wubbs and funkiness and you got a banger.
pls do a completely uncut unedited version of a tutorial would be so sick. Learn tons from these but seeing an uncut version could help tons more when it comes more to the sound design etc
Honestly the best bass home tutorial out there. You didn’t ramble only put what’s important. Showed us the “secret sauce” which is honestly a huge help and is just an incredible way for beginners to learn thank you so much
Literally should name your channel to Serum University. I've watched 2 of your videos and learned more about that plug-in in 20 minutes than I have from messing with it for the past 5 years.
Yo Moonboy, I always learn something new from your tutorials, I just wanted to thank you for your amazing work, you are always making the difference between all the producers. YOU ARE THE BEST! 🙏🏼👽💚🔥🤘🏼
Its pretty genius how tightly done your tutorials are. As a fellow producer, it would be cool to see how to choose the right kin of hats, kicks, snares, etc. I know theres no "right" or "wrong" but just a good bit of context on where these sounds originated would be helpful as well for the guys like me who can hear what to do but dont know where these sounds came from
just keep on killin it bro. the videos are so well edited, very helpful, love to see you out here gettin deals and sound packs, just like keep on fragging dude!!! it’s awesome to see :)
Hey bro, thank you for your videos, i am new to producing and youve helped a lot. seem like a good dude, happy to see your stutter house track coming up on my daylist!
Absolutely loved this, its only inspired me to continue on my journey from starting DJing a year ago to trying production and creating my own sound. As always your tutorials are epic and inspirer, i dont follow all the terminology just yet but i have to start somewhere and i know once i understand it better these tutorials will be gold. Love yah work cant wait to see you in New Zealand some day.
Also guys, as MOONBOY himself also just so happened to state years ago, with regards to a sub bass, make sure it's always in mono to prevent stereo phasing which reduces beefiness. Aside from that, this IDs intro sounds like a combination of Deadmau5 and your own style simultaneously. Ugh, I love that. You should try your hand at progressive house sometime! :D
Awesome tutorial and the song sounds great. I noticed a couple of oddities. 1) Trance is its own genre. It is not part of the house genre. 2) Your speakers having two mid-woofers has nothing to do with the amount of bass. The speakers are in an MTM (mid-tweeter-mid) configuration and they are built that way to avoid lobing. Lobing is a phase/time alignment issue that must be corrected for in a standard mid-tweeter configuration. Keep up the awesome work!
What’s the song that’s played at 10:18 Also dope video watching your content makes me improve my skills at producing by like 100% every time you upload
I don't make music but I found this very informative and easy to follow. Thanks for the vid and explaining some more of the nuances between different house genres.
These tutorials are amazing. Keep posting big bro, love seeing the insight of pros. and how they target certain songs, and ideas in creative ways with good information!
I like the way you produced this video. Hey why don't you have a sound design course. Like seriously tho. I seen Au5 course but i want yours specifically because you know the sounds we want to make. You make these presets all the time but I want to learn first hand the sound design techniques you use.
hey can you make a tutorial that only uses free plugins like vital just for the people that can't offerte expansive plugins like me that stil wane make high cuality music
yo @moonboy must say your content.... and everything else is mad! watching your tech house uploads got me from knowing nothing about how to place and build on ableton very quickly, would like to say a massive thanks for making the content worth watching and learning new techniques 🤙💣💥
Even though I've produced stuff from all sorts of genres, and done so long enough to be able to make that music in my sleep, i've never really been able to crack the shell on house and dubstep music and make it sound good. This really helped me through that quite alot, Thank You!!
Either increase the attack of your bass to 10-15ms or set the "Random" knob on your OSC A/B to 0. The click happens because, by default, Serum starts playing the wavetable from a random position, which may cause it to start the sine/triangle wave at or near its peak, making your speakers pop from the fast movement trying to catch up with the wavetable
You are a god man, it’s just for me, I seem to be able to create certain parts of a song, not talking bass house specific but like progressive house or something, but I just struggle to put it together and arrange it correct to sound good :( great video man, I’ll definitely try to make some bass house at some point. 🔥🔥🔥
Longtime producer and viewer of production content.. gotta say i enjoy your enthusiasm. It's actually genuine and you know what you're talking about. Awesome content!
That 'A and B section' and call and response is SOOOO important about bass house, that Is pretty much the fundamental bass house sound! Great video!
Totally agree!
exactly yeah
Yeah it's used a lot but not necessary I think.
It's worth using, but not necessary
the recurring themes I find that makes for good Bass House are: dubstep drums and bass, mixed in with some two step rhythms add in some layered wubbs and funkiness and you got a banger.
pls do a completely uncut unedited version of a tutorial would be so sick. Learn tons from these but seeing an uncut version could help tons more when it comes more to the sound design etc
You just got verified 🔥
It gives very heavy knock2 vibes and I love it

I had a long break from making EDMs due to rap beats making and I couldn't imagine better place to get back to EDMs! Great video. Thank you.
I must say, I'm a fan of your work. Keep it coming!
Lead is unique❤
The song at the end is insane!!!!!
The start sounds like "Escape" by Kaskade and DeadMau5, but the drop is Knock2. nuts.
10:18 nostalgia
When he says shift your claps slightly to the left he means before the kick on the grid (timing), not in the stereo field (panning).
Yo I love the call and response on this one! Sick dude 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
that vocal chop is satisfying
just keep on killin it bro. the videos are so well edited, very helpful, love to see you out here gettin deals and sound packs, just like keep on fragging dude!!! it’s awesome to see :)

Opened youtube and that video appeared and I instantly watched it ❤
Quick tip: You could also set your bass pad to mono and mess with the porta. knob to add some S L I D E.
could you give us a tutorial on how to produce speed house style Basstrick, CHYL and DJ Yuki
Amazing techniques🔥✨
Even though I've produced stuff from all sorts of genres, and done so long enough to be able to make that music in my sleep, i've never really been able to crack the shell on house and dubstep music and make it sound good. This really helped me through that quite alot, Thank You!!
Very good one, Moonboy!
7:08 when I did that bass, mine was clicking at the when pressing the sound. How did you make it work?
Either increase the attack of your bass to 10-15ms or set the "Random" knob on your OSC A/B to 0. The click happens because, by default, Serum starts playing the wavetable from a random position, which may cause it to start the sine/triangle wave at or near its peak, making your speakers pop from the fast movement trying to catch up with the wavetable
Do you use Serum like effector? This is amazing! 👍💥💯
