@@Uatitto its very good, but thats more like trance i think, what i remember hearing was a raw hardcore kick sudden and also pretty short😅
Thats why he looks like white Drake. The bongos arent it tho
The amount of effort that must've gone into making this look effortless is just astounding, such a variety of patterns, textures, melodies, harmonies, vocals, drums, transitions. some massive talent at work there, it's so great to see this in the "mainstream"
well said next level composition all levels - mint

Its called bass music, and while Skrillex's album is very very good, it barely scratches the surface of what Bass Music contains. And no, we dont want bass music in the mainstream.
@@largefatherbassmusic it's too niche to ever make it mainstream again like we kind of had with early dubstep/brostep
@@largefatherbassmusic speak for yourself, I have no problem with it being mainstream, I'll still stick to what I like

I love love this new skrillex era. So mature and well developed
I agree, he looks a lot happier than Deadmau5 thats for sure.
Takes me backnto the 90s and also into another dimension. He's untouchable in this era.
@@ColoradoStreaming I refuse to believe Joel has been happy a day in his life.
I doubt he has but if thats the recipe for i remember then let him f cook@blueberrimuffin6682

This is INSANE. Can hear a few little sounds from your old dubstep songs in a few of these too 👀
I watch this when i feel alone

Skrillex is unbelievable his production is out of this world
Those plucky sounds at 8:10 gave my some kind of chills I've never felt before. That sound was INSIDE my being.
I literally can't help but say it's one of the best beat drops ever!
Perfect description that ‘plucky’ incredible production, very unique.
Edit : Is that ‘listen’ sample off Zelda Ocarina of time too?
Check out Sleep Net - Love no more. Amazing DnB tune
@@adamjpb4344 yes that's the fairy from Zelda ocarina of time
that sound is truly unreal
SKILLex. Seriously. So happy the algorithm surfaced this for me a year later!
this man has continued to blow my mind with his music for over a decade now. much respect and love for the goat 🙌🙌
i don’t think any of us realise how good his production actually is
He’s just being a Dj. Give credit to the actual producers of the tracks he’s playing
@Rojam Marshalles those are all his tracks bro
good point tho, usually people think the DJs produce
@@aaronbazil that’s why the track list mentioned his name so much and a bunch of other producers not at all?
Pay attention homeboy
10 years ago when I was 13, I was obsessed with Skrillex. 10 years later, I’m still obsessed with skrillex and can’t wait to see him live in September. I will literally cry 😭😍
17 years ago we were obsessed him when he was from first to last) he is a genius)
Damn bro we live the same life.
10 years ago he was good. I saw him live at EDC Dallas in 2011 before the fire department shut the set down but this is absolute god level
got to see him a month ago. i did cry
Where?
Skrillex was a hero of the edm scene.
He still is.
A couple of these songs I didn't SUPER DUPER love as singles but hearing them all in this context reveals the masterwork that it truly is to me. Skrillex is just made different.
totally agree, as singles I don't like them at all, but in set they are pretty fire
Music in every cell of him
Yep. He’s usually a few steps ahead of the game so it’s tough to appreciate the picture he’s trying to paint right away.
@@DeluviumOfficialwell said! I’ve always thought that about Sonny.
This!!
Not a single second of disappointment, not a single second regretted. Such a diverse producer. Album's gonna be 🔥🔥 Glad you're back Sonny. Its been a while 😭
I cannot believe how hard this hits and fresh it feels while being respectful to the deeper side of dubstep! What a gift!!
Was just thinking this!
vro is only trap on this shi' wtf
@@morandynavarrovaldes like the first third to half of the mix is literally deep dubstep remixes. And the second half is like more bass house and other stuff. Not much trap imo. But I do understand especially with hybrid trap, how the line can be blurred
This honestly sounds like flume but just a Skrillex and refined version
10:31 that warped tour recording made me feel things
This video makes me feel like I am at a show and having an out of body experience and everyone else just disappeared 🤘🫠
The confidence coming off this man now. He has matured into a proper icon now. This new sound is more authentically him than he's ever been.
Well stated I agree!

@@buttstevens2758 thank you for the input, buttstevens
Not sure if you were around or listening to music when Monsters & Sprites hit in 2010, but he single handily brought a whole new language to music with how he used warped FM and Wavetable synthesis. I created patch libraries I sell at my site inspired by the sounds Skrillex was creating. Yes, he continues to hone his skills and his production has definitely gone up quite a few notches... and every album he's done is like a Jim Carrey movie role, something nobody else could pull off, but to be clear, bro, he was authentic 10 years ago. I'm a 58 year old proud to say Skrillex is a special artist among artists.

Hey Skrillex, I just trully hope you are as happy as we are. You know, I was alone in my room when your set came out. Now I'm jumping and smiling. Later, I will be jumping and smiling with my friends hearing your set. Thank you for make me feel this way.
10 years later and I still am just as moved by this man's skills as I was then. ❤

Imagine being the cameraman. It'd be like skrillex is performing a one person concert just for me lol
it was deadmau5

The lighting design is so minimal yet so amazing. Using the lights on the decks as a main part of the lighting design makes it feel so personal. Also camera man deserves a raise.

I will never able to properly explain how much I love this man's music. The new album is also coming out on my sister's birthday, who's first (and still) musical love was Skrillex. Thank you for existing Sonny. Thank you so much.

@@copcop4782 You’re referencing 2006 though, dubstep in itself has changed as genre’s will over time and he isn’t limiting himself to trying to stay within one genre, that’s what is special about his music production. But, sounds like you had a memorable experience!👍
