- In this episode, we start our drive to Pennsylvania to visit Shane's parents for New Year's. Shane tries a new drink and gets really mad at his new bowling game. Hannah shares exciting news about her new celebrity status and complains about chocolate chips invading her cookie dough ice cream.

Shane was born with a neuromuscular disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy that requires him to use an electric wheelchair. He is the author of several award-winning books, the President of a nonprofit organization called Laughing At My Nightmare, and a renowned public speaker who has performed across the country at places such as Harvard University, The University of Florida, The University of Connecticut, Princeton University, and many more.
Hannah is a senior at Carleton College, studying sociology and anthropology. She works as a researcher for an educational consulting firm. Her future aspirations include attending law school and owning a goat sanctuary. She films and edits the “Squirmy and Grubs” vlog.
Shane and Hannah have been dating for over 2.5 years and living together in Minneapolis in recent months. Their interabled relationship often confuses people, because much of society still cannot fathom people with disabilities being involved in loving, intimate relationships. Anyone who watches these episodes will quickly see their relationship is just as “normal” as any other. Sure, Hannah helps Shane use the bathroom and brush his teeth, but those activities do not detract from the emotional, intellectual, and physical connection they experience together.

I adore how "aggravated" she acts with him one minute and then the next she's laughing her ass off over something so cute and simple like this. They are a true couple, two people actually in love and living life even though they may get frustrated from time to time, their hearts never change for each other. I love them so much ughghghghghg

It makes me so mad when people block handicap spots !!! They have extra space for a reason 🤦🏼♀️
That really irritates me. I've cussed out people who parked in handicapped spots.
that happended to me, my daughter is wheelchair bound for life, and I need the handicvap parking spot, some jackass who did not have a handicap placker in her car or was not handicap parked there got out and walked towards the store, I pull behind her car and said I need that parking spot and you have no right no park here. she sid I can park anywhere I wnt to, then I just parked my car and called the cops and she didn't act like she cared went inside, when the cops came in they called her outside and told her that she was getting a ticket and she said I didn't do anything wrong, the cops said you parked in a handicap spot and you are not handicap and this women needs it for her daughter. she said fuck that bitch ( to me the mom) and said Im not moving just so this bitch can park here that there are planty of spot she can park in. the cops said those spots wont let a wheelchair get in and out. she was like I don't care im not moving . that is when she not only got a 1,500 ticket but went to jail for not complying with officers.

I just have to say. I had the absolute worst day at work today. Terrible customers, people I didn't want to see, bruising the hell out of my ankle with a cart and a huge spider attacking me at my check-stand. I came home crying (which happens maybe once every few years or so), and as soon as I saw this video it turned my entire day around. Thank you for blogging and making people laugh and smile. I definitely needed it.

I found you from sbsk and I have now watched every video over the last few days. I have a son going through medical stuff, not your diagnosis but ataxia and possibly cerebral palsy. He had an abnormal mri on his brain and will he sent to a neurologist. I enjoy your spirits. I’ve been very angry and upset and worried the last few days since knowing it was abnormal. So many emotions and your videos have helped my positivity level skyrocket. I appreciate them. Your love is beautiful to watch.
