- Marianne Faithfull's legacy is one of raw emotion, resilience, and artistic evolution. Rising to fame in the 1960s with hits like "As Tears Go By," her voice became synonymous with both youthful innocence and later, a raw, weathered depth. Through personal struggles and public turmoil, Faithfull reinvented herself as a singer, songwriter, and cultural icon. Her honesty, vulnerability, and artistic bravery have left an indelible mark on music, inspiring generations with her unique journey and timeless sound.
More than a singer, a cultural icon. So long Marianne.
Looking at her pictures I realize how young she was when thrown into the limelight. She seemed so grown up and magnetic. I adored her… our little bird, fly away free in the winter night onto new adventures 😘🕊🪄💫
Bless her, grew up listening to Marianne great singer. Rest in eternal peace Marianne, thanks for the music ❤
Unlike many of todays generation Marriane was a fighter who suffered many hard times.A true icon of the 60s .May she Rest in Peace 🙏❤️🤘
Mick Jagger was her most influencer. Forget McArtney. It was Mick.
@@annebenn353 and how would you know? You're just stating how you wanted it to be, not how it really was.
What are you TALKING about? She lived a GREAT life, made TONS of money at a VERY early age, had GREAT parents who protected her wealth and died with 15 million bucks to her name. Why are the masses ALWAYS telling us about how horrible these celebrities suffered THEY JUST LIVED LIFE and did it with LESS turmoil and hardship than the rest of us. No one EVER lived a perfect, trouble free life.
@annebenn353 that's what I was thinking. Mick was the closest to her they dated for years. In 1969. After their hype park concert. Mick took her to australia. She overdosed on the plane to australia. Mick nursed her back to health in their hotel room.
Queen of the Swinging Sixties. Iconic always.
Faithful angel, thank you. RIP Condolences to families, friends and fans. .
Beautiful woman in all ways. Mick was lucky to know her. ty 4 the music Mari. x Vale.
Marianne was an incredibly beautiful young lady, not only was her striking beauty unique, her voice was also incredibly unique both speaking & singing.
I was playing broken english only a day before the sad news.
Marianne faithful a very articulate beautiful soulful intelligent lady.
unique singer
Exceedingly beautiful child even after she had her own child. She was also very honest and smart lyricist, but voice was not praiseworthy, honestly, people wouldn't like it if it weren't for her person.
Mick Jagger made her! She became a star through the Stones then later proved that she could hold her own and those who followed her can honestly say she fought her troubles, with silence and strength! Still a beauty to the end and she will definitely be missed!
RIP Dear Marianne ❤❤❤
One of my favourite songs she songs is " If You Come And Stay With Me " Rest in Peace Marianne .❤
Sad about the passing of Marianne Faithful so beautiful such a lovley face Night night Godbless Marianne lots of love xxx
Marian faithful passing is yet another reminder of the golden sixties when times were so wonderful so different in every perspective it just dosnt happen like that today I was only a child back then yet I can remember ut like yesterday the sixties was so magical and lives on in my memory and marine faithful is a huge part of it RIP marine please god look after this angel
I knew her quite well, both in her days in California and in London. She was about to get attached to Ben Brierly at the time when I first met her. I also knew Ben at the time, independently of knowing her.
Marianne was a truly adorable soul. She had a gift for perception and was a born rebel whom I will never cease admiring. She was also one of the funniest women I ever knew. She had a wicked sense of humour that I will never forget. She was kind, thoughtful and always incredibly perceptive. I am deeply saddened by her loss.
What a lovely tribute! Thank you for sharing your personal memories of Marianne.
a loss for the planet, she may have been the last one with those qualities
Thank u Mick for your post. I believe we met at Marianne's flat in west london once upon a time. Go well x
How blessed you were to have known this amazing lady! I was a 16 year old Marianne Faithfull wannabe in southern California. What an amazing time it was! I am now 76. I have been a fan for 60 years. I was saddened by this news.
From one Mari Ann, to another, so long, gorgeous Marianne Faithfull. You will not be forgotten in the annals of rock and roll history.
R.I.P 🕊️♥️🎶
Thank-you for your music🤍 Marianne 🕯️Rest in Peace🕊️
Great memories Marianne. So long and may the Angels guide you on your onward journey.
THANK YOU for the beautiful memories!
A National Treasure ! Rest in Peace Marianne.
Here we go again with stories about how much the rich and famous suffered during their life. I loved the few hit records she made, she was a good person. Nothing bad was ever said about her. May she Rest In Peace.
R.I.P. AND TY FOR YOUR MUSIC, MARIANNE!
Met the lady here in Adelaide doing a gig in north Adelaide fantastic and amazing woman blessing to family
What an amazing person she was. She lived life to its fullest through all its ups and downs. I’m not sure why Mick called her his “everything”. I feel he let her down in many ways. But it’s not my relationship. Only Maryanne and Mick could really know what all went down. RIP Maryanne. You certainly did things your own way. 💝🕊🎼👼
@@taralee7076 she was a pass around pack like all the groupies for those days. But she was very tight with the stones. May she find peace on the other side
Great woman !!! RIP Marianne ................of France
May God rest your Soul Marianne ❤🕊
My world just got smaller, a very sad day indeed.
Oh well ,she will never be forgotten .😮
May Her Soul Rest In Heaven
McCartney wasn't the only musician who was closely connected to her; Gene Pitney had a long time friendship with her also. He passed away in 2006, and Keith Richards, another member of the Rolling Stones had a connection with Marianne. Not forgetting her son Nicholas Dunbar.
Brian as well......
She was so beautiful!... RIP 🕯🌹
May she rest in peace 🕊️🙏😢
Beautiful and Excelent Singer!
R.I.P.😢
dear Marianne, may you fly free and lift you up and give you peace...beautiful legend 🕊
R.I.P Marianne Faithfull ❤ 🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹
Faithful r.i.p. The sixties music stars are dying. I am old and headed for the graveyard myself
Live every day. You did it when you were young, you are the same person now.

RIP Marianne. Generation icon.
She would have been a mega star if she never got with him RIP
Merci belle Marianne 🙏🕊️😇💫
De France 🇨🇵
Great Women 🙏🙏 Marianne 🙏🙏 THANKS for all Musik 🙏🙏R.I.P. 😢😢😢💐💐💐
She released 21 studio albums and was a far better singer than many give her credit for.
LOVED HER SINGING, THIS LITTLE BIRD, AS TEARS GO BY.
Eine faszinierende Frau und Ausnahmekünstlerin!! Sie hat sich stetig weiterentwickelt!...Ein Multitalent! Ein großer Verlust..nicht nur für die Musikszene!❤❤❤❤
you can say that again Elke. x
Heaven holds a place for you
Rest In Peace Marianne
Rest in Peace Lady with the great Voice 💐💐❤️💐💐
I saw her in a club in London I was a mod and we played Marianne faithfully music great days
I had such an amazing crush on her face and the vibrato in her voice❤!
R.I.P Marianne Faithfull, Queen of the Swinging Sixties. Her first hit being penned by Richards and Jagger, who released the song themselves after Marianne's debut. The first song Jagger/Richards wrote.
Only 6:50 minutes into this video and repeating the same information once again. Rest in peace Marianne Faithful.
Thank you for your music❤
RIP Marianne Faithfull. Let's cue up "As Tears Go By" one more time to honor her.🎶
Neil Tennant paid tribute to this charming woman as well. He recorded her song.
Was this recently Maria? ty
Thanks, nice tribute! I was in my teens in the 1960s and remember the "Swinging Sixties" and the "London Mod" look and was a NYC fashion illustrator back then in the late 60s and on. Am also a pianist and an American composer and have always been involved in the arts. The 60s was a great era of music, art, movies and fashion! May she rest in peace~☮🙏💜
Brenda, any links to your music/art? You are important. ty
@@TheBlueskyson Not presently, thanks for your interest though, much appreciated.
This little bird has finally touched the ground.
R.I.P. angel.......
Mick Jagger doesn’t seem to have said anything in tribute to her. Well done Paul McCartney!!
@@jeanmyers1787 yes he offered a. Very moving tribute to her calling her “my everything”
Always loved 🥰 Marianne Faithful especially her song 🎵 As Tears Go By. She was definitely an icon during her time. It’s very sad how she got hooked on drugs. I suppose being with Mick Jagger didn’t help. I believe many musicians took advantage of her career which also didn’t help her very much. RIP ☮️🦋💚🌈🩶🖤💜💔!!
Мои искренние соболезнования. Земля пухом. Счастья в Небесах. Прекрасным человеком была. Честное слово, не верится. 😥😥😥🥀🥀🥀♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏🙏
Rest in Peace 🙏
Sad...fondly remembered from those days...
When she was young she was very good looking
Completely agree with former response, too long a tribute. 5 minutes would have been sufficient as Marianne Faithfull herself never needed so many words to get her point across.
I loved marianne from her very beginning. She is leaving too soon!
Why is Faithful’s funeral brought up in the heading of this video presentation? This tells nothing of her funeral
R I P Marieanne Faithful 🙏❤️
So long Marianne rip x
❤ R. I. P. Marianne Faithfull, I'd say My Favorite song, no actually, My Favorite Album of Hers, cuz I pretty much would play it from Beginning to End, was called, Dangerous Acquaintances, the cover is Beautiful ❤ it's a headshot of Her with wet touseled hair and it to Me was a Very Elegant ❤ I will miss you Marianne Faithfull, another Angel 😇😇😇 to add to Heavens Choir... Beautiful ❤
She was a lovely singer and she did very well in the 1960s RIP ❤
Why the hell is the host repeating the same text over and over again? His comment could be presented at least in half the time of this video!
That was not his remit.
@@FirewindII ??????
AI
Yes, the repetition is annoying. Very poor script editing.
I agree Mick Jagger was her most favoured. Not McArtney this report is rubbish.
"all the little children loved Marianne, down by the seashore siftin' sand..."BCN'u sweetie...
I got you babe- her duet with Bowie .
Very beautiful on the inside and out. Her music is besutiful and deep, a real loss to music and her friends and fans.
I'm wondering why the pictures keep moving, it's very distracting. Thank you.
Sail on Silver Girl we ❤ an miss you 😢😢
yes, i believe that song was about her.
Bogus AI.
She was not involved with "The Beatles". She was used and discarded by Jagger. She ODed on heroin in Australia while along with a "Rolling Stones" tour.
Her career was ruined by that relationship.
either way, it made her who she was. And we can be thankful for her presence.
Always my guess was that Angie was written for her but it can be only guess. .
@@TheBlueskyson We didn't know then her age or how that could be relevant: she was 17.
It made her a broken person, and her career ruined. But I guess being a "Rolling Stones" fan can rationalize that as a benefit to her so long as Jagger's career wasn't adversely impacted.
@@Mikexception If so did she benefit from the royalties?
@ I can't answer such details when it is my only private guess. I think Jagger sung it to show his devotion - in that meaning, not for her as performer.
She also did a film "Irene Palm" where she plays the grandmother who needs to have surgery to live. She got great reviews from critics. 💥💥💥💥👌👌👌👌
This was awaste of time mp real words from paul or mick😊😊😊
we miss you RIP ❤
RIP Ms. Faithful....
Why are the speaker repeat same things so many times.. story is circling on same things all the time.. Paul McCartney...McCartney....McCartney..and so on :D
I bet she's diving through Paris in a spots car , the warm wind blowing in her hair..
R.I.P. lovely lady. 😇🙏♥️💕
Not the Mariane who Leonard Cohen wished “so long”.
God, I HATE these AI-generated clips on UA-cam. You'd think it was McCartney who'd kicked the bucket!
Dear Marianne, RIP 💜💥
Rest in Peace Marriane
How many times does the narrator have to say Paul McCartney? Disrespectful tribute
These AI composed/ robot-voiced videos are generally pretty ghastly. Yes, the emphasis on Paul - who was surely just one of her many friends - is hard to understand, or justify. Still this is where we are. 80% of YT is already infected with these get-rich-quick-for-no-effort videos.
And the title says "Mick Jagger tribute", when it's all Paul Paul Paul... how I hate these AI videos!!
This Little Bird is my favourite.
R I p you will be miss
Most upsetting will be missed bless you xx
Star, brighter to me in the 60s than any in the Universe. What a fabulous entertainer and beauty! Thank you so very much!
Why McCartney, she was involved with the Stomes
Elle était unique
AI is disgusting!
Title is misleading they said that Mick paid tribute but its really Paul paying tribute to his friend
how many times can you say the same thing over and over again, AI generated i assume..
As soon as an American reporter comments on any famous musician or other public person, one can be sure that it turns out to be a pure bore! Not only because of the endless repetitions, but the voice of the guy is also a bore. (AI?)
Mick Jagger did not care a bit about her after 1967. Are there any pictures showing her with him lateron?
Strange footage - showing pictures and making them wobble as if to appear as a film. It's just annoying
cant stand ai created clips. so much repitition. with no live recordings from any of the person spoken by the ai robot!!!!
Is this AI much baggers and Paul mcartbeys abd mick hagglers tribute are identical🥴?’!!!!???
TRES Cool/Heavy XxxxX
