The biggest mistake is actually having the image of yourself as someone who does nofap. Also, you shouldn’t count the days or even loosely keep track of your streak. Act as if you’ve never done it. As if it isn’t even something you would consider, neither in a positive nor in a negative light. I’ve relapsed a bunch of times exactly the day I started counting the blessings of nofap and arguing against pmo in my head. What you give attention to will feed off that energy, even more so if you fight / argue against it. Just make the commitment to nofap once and for all and never look back (i.e. never think like someone who is attempting to quit pmo.

When I’m on a hangover, I crave all kinds of greasy unhealthy food, I’m extremely irritable, I’m lonely / alone, and I’m tired / exhausted af. So many people think alcohol makes you relapse on the day of consumption, but it actually creeps in through the backdoor the day after.

As yogic philosophy informs us that, certain places have certain thought form remnants of earlier thoughts by people inhibiting the place before us.
For example: certain home or room will be quite depressing, sad or even scary.
And some (almost all) hotel rooms give or induce a horny vibe because of sexual activity which happens quite frequently in these rooms.
So it's quite normal to get lustful urges when entering or living in such places.

    • @ekonexus
      @ekonexus 5 років тому +1

@@PCH5 couple things come to mind. Either can be done individually to good effect, yet would be most powerful in sequence.
1.) Smudging with sage. It helps scrub and purify the air, and 'airs' of mind in the space, vibrationally. You may notice a very light clarity in the space afterwards. This can be very beneficial in setting local conditions for etheric energy work.
2.) Sit and connect to your heart with your hands in prayer 🙏 position. Breathe deeply and center and align in your spine. Feel into your heart and bring that energy in connection with your head, then prayerfully begin to think and feel of clearing and blessing the energy of the place with your heart-mind, as if it were already real, and so it is, vibrationally, harmonically, within yourself from the inside out. For example, the mental intent to feeling within your mind may be, "I am clearing and purifying the energy and residual thoughtforms of this space from within myself". The key is feeling it strongly and in coherence , head to heart, heart to head. You may feel a warm ascendent energy and enter a blissful feeling state, as the heart energy opens and rises like a flame, and your brain shifts into different bands of ordinary awareness. The Divine energy is working through you with the power of unconditional love. Our hearts are immensely powerful, in general by nature, and in good condition. You can powerfully impact your time-space matrix in working through this portal. See for yourself. It's a "lost" mode of prayer that directly communes with the field, as Gregg Braden, Joe Dispenza, etc., teaches it.
I've practiced this to effect my entire local time-space zone, visualizing and connecting to work with the light all around, of what crosses into my field, by virtue of power of vibrational harmonics, experiencing and observing how it changed the vibration of others on the street, in a busy, gentrified downtown neighborhood, where often people yell and are under the influence, that shortly after and for days later, almost all of the passing sounds and expressions were resonant with the light and love I brought in via the light through the heart, as it is a powerful electromagnatic and scalar gate, literally the ground generator and gate of our consciousness, from source. The stronger energy field will influence and uplift in resonance lower energy fields. Right outside my space, I would hear people whistling pleasant sounds, men singing, people laughing, people expressing peacefully, and a calm clarity. It was a stark contrast to note, and was no mere "coincidence", due to understanding harmonics.
Imagine how collective intentional induction of such practices could benefit our worlds. There are monestaries in Asia, etc, where for millennia monks have always occupied and worked in this way.

My thoughts/opinions on this: That hotel rooms might make you feel horny imo is because sex happens often in a place like that, but not because sex actually happened a lot there. Its a difference. If a place is designed for an activity to happen there, then it could be normal to then feel things related to that activity. I mean, if people would make a brand new hotel on the beach, then it could be entirely normal to feel horny in that brand new hotelroom as well, even though no one actually had sex in there yet! Similarly it could very well be that some people have made some secret meeting place in a forrest where they meet for sex, but if you as an ignorant person would walk there, and you totally would not know, it could be you don' t feel horny. I agree certain places could make you feel a certain way, but it's more because of the design of the place of the vibe it gives off to you, not because people actually did certain things there in the past. Of course there is a correlation between the 2 in that because a place has a certain vibe, the chance is high, people before you have behaved in line with that vibe. But it' s a leap in thought imo to state the place gained a certain vibe just because people did things in the place.
Ofc also if you are made aware of the fact people did things in a place, it then automatically as well affect you. lets say you know people were murdered in your house, you might not feel all that nice there anymore. But if you were ignorant of that fact it simply does not affect that much. I had a bridge near my town where the nazi' s entered to invade, but before I knew that, I simply never had any special feeling with that bridge, but when made aware of the history , yes I have a different feeling everytime when I pass.

I have relapsed several in the 18 months and every time I notice there is something wrong with my life. Most common is loneliness. This acronym is very helpful to keep in mind.
Also I noticed that I am much more likely to get those urges if I have a shit diet. When I eat low sugar clean food it’s much easier.

I know you're also pursuing the acting thing, at least were, but it seems to me this message is much more profound, significant, and impactful, especially to young men struggling to find confidence/direction. ultimately we all chose our own path, so of course i offer this to you with humility. in any case, keep up the good work.

I've been on NoFap for eight months and decided to break my streak about a month ago. Of course I felt the difference in energy levels - you become more relaxed -, but life doesn't suck when you do PMO, like some youtubers tend to exagerate. You don't have to be on NoFap to be happy.

Nikhil, that's exactly where lies the limits of individualism. Philosophers like Descartes talk about developing your own reasoning, but seriously, you can't expect everyone in society to apply properly what you are saying. As there are problems with letting yourself be influenced by very stimulating activities, there's also a problem with getting them under control (the need of meditation because anger can develop etc). This is calling for a restructure of society or how we educate people (actually both, it doesn't work to set rules like the Prohibition, people just counter it). We need to come up with something (or look back in history as many philosophers have answers to many of todays problems) for a more sustainable and durable society.
In my opinion if we fixed the individual, the environmental, sociological, political, practically all issues would be naturally be fixed as a consequence. When I mean fix the individual I'm talking about guiding him/her to be the ideal/optimal human being that you and I know would look like. When you think about it, the real reason for the problems within the human society is due to unhealthy human beings that have a level of influence within the society, and those who let them practice it.

Travel is really tough. For my husband and I, it's the energy of hotel rooms on top of the HALT stuff. People do all kinds of stuff in there, you're entering into a space with a seriously shady energetic memory. And the atmosphere comes down on you. It's a real thing; I mean it's easy to pick up the lustful atmosphere in bars or clubs when people are there acting it out, but I believe it hangs around in spaces too, and so you need to be really careful when entering into a hotel room. We usually burn sulphur (it's mentioned in ancient Greek texts as a purifier) and sage is good too. That might be a but 'woo-woo' for you, but you should still try and see if it helps ;-)

Tiredness is a huge factor . Sometimes I push myself so much when I exercise that I get extremely tired afterwards.
I've noticed my level of self control decreases a lot when I'm super exhausted . This is when I get an overpowering urge to fap and it's difficult to control it (or channel it because I feel tired)
So even with exercise ( which helps a lot on your nofap journey) DO NOT GO OVERBOARD ! Atleast in the starting stages. Right now I'm day 28 if nofap .
Good luck to all you guys out there trying to overcome this problem . ❤️🔥

Great stuff Captain. Was thinking about what you said about being lonely out on this business trip. So just throwing out an idea for anyone interested; maybe the healthy way to cope with loneliness on a short trip like that is to go out and explore and have a little chat with the locals. Go to a pub/cafe/park or whatever and absorb some local culture and turn it into an adventure. I never travel and stay inside too much, but it just came to me so any thoughts on this welcome.

I am neither against or for No Fapping. It's a good discipline but I do think there's nothing wrong with releiving yourself.
Everything should be done in moderation. You should not do it and become a addict to it but once in awhile when you just feel like playing with your friend lol (no negative feelings needed)

I think one of biggest mistakes of nofap is actually FORGETTING that you are on nofap, once you're in deep in a streak, months and months in, I've found that I have just let this become my new normal, and not in a positive sense, but a negative. It's like what Swami Sivananda says in his 'Practice of Brahmacharya' that just because the sun rises everyday, illuminating and giving life and energy to the entire planet it does not mean that this is a normal thing. it is super natural, and so is the retention of the vital essence, and it should not be forgotten. It should be at the forefront of the mind that you are moving through life with supreme momentum and purpose, not have its significance drowned out by the day to day hectic modern life. Thanks.
