Years ago I used to listen on radio somewhere between 2 and 3 pm. I'm so glad I found her again. I lost my husband 5 months ago. Praise the Lord . He prepares our days before we get there and I will be with my husband longer than I've been without him. That's a wonderful promise!!!
My condoleances, how are you doing now? I lost my husband 2 months ago due to leukemia. I am still very young and found elisabeth Elliot while looking for advice.
I'm trying very hard to thank God for my husband's violent death nearly two years ago and the lessons He means for me to learn. I AM able to thank God for drawing me closer to Him. The sorrow of losing my husband of nearly 54 years is still so great. I will keep trying to thank God for this sorrow even though it is so, so painful. Diane in NC
I’m so sorry for your painful loss. I can’t imagine how hard that would be. But may God help you just as He helped Elisabeth to accept what He gives or allows to be taken away - and to offer it back to Him to be used for His good purposes. And as you do, may you experience the same peace and joy she had.
@@walkingrighthere3851 Your sympathetic comments mean a lot to me, truly they do. I will keep trying. I do know that God will hold me when I stagger. I do long for the pease and joy she had. Diane in NC
@@Krzwl Thank you so very much for your kind words. I will carry them close to my heart. I know that just as it says in Romans 8:28 - ALL things work together for good to those who love God...that message gives me hope. Thanks so much for reaching out to me. Diane in NC
Walking Right Here: Obviously, you are not happy at his violent death, but I think what God wants you to be happy over is the change as he can make in your life, from experiencing this loss. In other words, you would say, what can I learn from this tragedy, God? Not be happy over your husband violent death. I am so sorry for your loss!
@@ebriggs3498 Thank you for your compassionate comments. I didn't mean to suggest that I am happy that my husband died violently. That statement came out wrong! I am slowly learning that just as it says in Romans 8:28, God will work all things for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purposes. (my paraphrasing). God truly is working good in my life. Diane Patrum.
I've read and shared your missionary books to others. God has always used precious people like you to teach me and help me understanding suffering and most of all faithfullness of our creator, Jesus Christ, to always allow Him to help me in my sufferings, and cause me to not just know about Him, but to Know Him. When I come out of trials and persecution of great extent, I am no longer the same, but have more patience, more love for others and knowing nothing , yet understanding that Gods word is true...He never leaves us, He always loves us, and Love is the Greatest gift we can give to others.
Amazingly this series came onto my you tube when I hadn't searched for it. I am going through cancer at the moment and I have been so encouraged by her talks and the sharing of all her experiences.
This came up 'randomly' in my feed and it was the exact talk that I needed to encourage, inspire and convict me. Practical lessons which I can remember and use.
Praise God for all that He gives, the good and the seemingly bad and offer it up to Him in thanksgiving! For what He gives in return is salvation! An increasing knowledge and love for Him! I am so thankful we have been blessed to be in the audience of this talk. Thank you Jesus for speaking to our hearts!🙌🏽❤️
I needed to hear this, I’m going through infertility & these sermons have helped me so much. Elizabeth Elliot has helped me in every season of my life. She will be forever missed but I’m glad her videos and books are out there for us.
Thank you so much for sharing such an encouraging video. She was a blessing in so many ways and I appreciate how the Lord used her as an example of a woman who feared and loved the Lord. A woman who finished her race strong in Christ.
What an incredible testimony to the gift of faith and the building of faith through adverse circumstances that in reality, is such a precious gift of redemption.
🎀🕯️ Thank you for these series I have enjoyed through sections of Titles and has given me such wonderful inspirations. My gratitude to you and God. You have tough teachings of God but it's inspiring. This series, helped me found the blessings I have and to be thankful to God for the blessings of life. 🕊️☁️ God bless
In case you didn't know. Being a true christain is simply humanly impossible. From beginning to end its entirely dependant upon undeserved mercy and grace. "Apart from Me, you can do nothing"
Thanks so much for your posts... Pl continue... If possible put it as a separate playlist.... Greetings from India... Kindly keep our nation in your prayers
Im sorry i dont call myself a Christian of which i am,because there are such a lot of cardboard christians wolves in sheep’s clothing,i have always been thankful for whatever circumstances i may face knowing God has a reason for my good also i also forgive freely knowing again this is for my good i have learned never to question God as to why these things happen because I know i can trust him with my very life
That's very impressive. I get really upset over very small things and the only thing that helps is when I remember that God is in control, and acceptance is the answer ....am I alone in totally forgetting this on a regular basis and having to learn it all over again!! It seems like a very little departure from God and his word and into negativity of any kind (irritation with husband usually), and boom! All wisdom gone. I am thankful that he restores me at some point though! This video brought be back to my senses today.😆 But in just thinking that if you don't call yourself a Christian, people will just think you are a good person..... And Christ will not be getting the glory. Don't hide your light under a bushel. The church needs spirit filled Christians!!
Thank you Anne. I love forgiveness. I share it a lot with people. I’ve hAd 2 people lunge at me. But I love forgiveness their is so much power. I will never stop speaking about forgiveness. I’ve meet very few believers who speak about forgiveness.
To marie soto thanks for your reply i want you to know that God allows you to suffer because he wants you to be the person qualified for his new world whenever you forgive you are one step nearer to his new world because when we die we leave our body behind in the grave or furnace and receive new bodys that will never get sick and die
If you believe, as the scriptures say, that we Gentile Believers are grafted into the Jewish people by faith, then the answer for suffering is found in Deuteronomy 8: 2-3. God allowed suffering and trials for the Hebrew people to strengthen them in their faith and to see if they would learn to obey Him. We are certainly no better than the original followers of the Jewish Messiah! ❤️🇮🇱 ❤️
How nice you have THIS series available. God is good. Just what to Ask if I will manage, would IT be possibile to TRANSLATE the series of THIS 7 lectures and mąkę Polish voiceover and put IT on my YT Channel?
@Ligonier : love this series, but it would be very helpful if you would number each talk IN THE TITLE so that it is easier to follow in numerical order. Thanks!
Is she one of the wives of the men that went into the jungle and were killed only for the wives to pursue that mission of preaching the gospel to the natives that murdered those men? The movie that was made about it that I can’t recall the name of at the moment?
Did you lose your job, your health your sanity, your peace because you followed Jesus? I didn't think so, for most of you, you suffer almost ZERO. How would you know what she means? You do not know

Absolutely love the gapped teeth.
I am curious about when the video was recorded.
From the dress I woud say late 1970s early 80's. (I'm a costumer - fashion historian) Edit - she referenced going back to 1972.
Is she one of the wives of the men that went into the jungle and were killed only for the wives to pursue that mission of preaching the gospel to the natives that murdered those men? The movie that was made about it that I can’t recall the name of at the moment?
@josiahpulemau yes, its called At the end of the spear
I enjoyed her radio programs up to the day Nancy Walgemuth too k over for her.
🎉
Where does this phrase come; *The fallen world that we live in?*
Its not in the bible.
Is this lady still alive?
She went to be with the Lord in 2015
