This is not right in one of the solo series of thirtyvirus series(not ironman) he made a flower farm which went from below to max height its very efficient and uses hoppers
When there are more mushrooms there is a higher chance to spread, since you have the water flowing down so often the single mushroom will never be able to fill its spawning capacity. The 9x9x3 box is only around the original mushroom so if you have a row that alternates 4 red 4brown, ect then each section of red/brown can spawn 1 mushroom per harvest, this will not reduce efficiency as the probability the mushroom spreads twice in the time between water is low but the extra mushrooms will have higher chance to spread. The other thing you should know is that the 3 high means that it is the dirt below the mushroom, the mushroom and the block above this, if you have a mushroom on the dirt above the bottom mushroom then both these mushrooms cannot see each other and can spawn new one, when the mushroom spreads there is 25% chance it can spread up one block and 25% chance it can go down, if the dirt that you want it to go to is in the middle the second layer of mushrooms will double tour harvest. Other thing you should do is have the seeder mushroom have dirt in either side, this will save you building the farm a second time. Since the water can only flow 8 blocks but you can only use 7 for farm as you want it to flow onto the next layer I recommend each layer uses 3 red, 3 brown then hopper , then 1 block down there is another 3 red ect, this will allow you to mate the farm to be repeated without filling the spawning spaces. If you have any questions I can try and create a small version and you can look at it.
I have a tip. Use Redstone and a piston to move the block that controls the water. Instead of having a minion (which uses a slot) do it every 10 seconds have the player flip a lever that will release the water every time that the farm is full (or nearly full). This should solve the water issue, and would also save you a minion slot. It would still be practically AFK however you just have to flip the lever. GL
For the tediousness of collecting each chest, just create a hopper chain. All mushrooms will flow down the hoppers/chests. The chests above are for overflow. If you want the mushrooms to transfer faster. Add two hoppers to the bottom lf each chest. :)
In theory, you can place more of the starter mushrooms to get a better chance to spread within the time the water is not in the way. Also, in theory, you should be able to place 4 starter mushrooms to maximize the chance a mushroom will be grown before the water comes and harvests the mushrooms. Hope that is useful :)
Just making me think that having more starter mushrooms would make it so that red mushrooms would mix with brown mushroom layers due to the spread distance. Will this be an efficiency issue like pumpkins growing on the wrong block?
@@apocadood2099 In testing it took between 50-80K ticks to grow the first shroom on a 5x5. (basically an hour, under ideal conditions) if the 1% was correct it should be closer to like 10 sec
So I’ll put some theories here, but they have to be tested, (go to the bottom if you don’t want to read all of it, but it might be interesting). This may not work, but I think that since the mushroom spread to the stone brick it can technically spread to any block, (someone commented that it spread because of the light) so if packed ice was able to grow mushroom the mushrooms would flow faster in water so you don’t have to use as many hoppers. With this you could also use a hopper collection system making it go into one place (you can do this with your farm but there would be so many hoppers) rather than collecting all the chests like you have it as of now. I don’t know if too many hoppers is bad, but less hoppers look more clean anyway. I also have method 1, this is to use water to move yourself along through each lane so you can use harvesting and a pet to get more mushrooms, also with the current version of skyblock you can now get farming xp while afk so you can get both money and xp. You can use teleport pads at the bottom and top of the row to restart and do it again or move to another row. In method 2.0, you build a mushroom farm, like the original mushroom farm with the single lanes, and place teleport pads at the end of each lane. This way you can use harvesting and an elephant pet to gain farming xp and a lot of mushrooms. You can probably merge this method with the previous method to have method 2.5 where you utilize more lanes of mushrooms since you can only have 12 tp pads. You would go through a lane, drop down at the end, get pushed back with water, and go through that lane. The tp pads would be placed only at the top and bottom so you can use 6 rows. Although these methods are not automatic it is still afk, you do not have to move your mouse. The way methods 2.0 and 2.5 is to hold left and right click. This allows you to bind your move forward key to right click so you move forward while harvesting. This makes method 2.0 and 2.5 faster, but you have to have as less speed as possible in 2.5 so the water can push you back while you’re moving forward. In method 1, you have to break one side bumper and have the water push you sideways. I don’t know if this is illegal (I use a specific way by tricking my computer so I don’t have to physically hold left and right click, some of you probably use it too) but let’s just say you’re holding down left and right click. You didn’t hear it from me. The main problem with your afk farm (and my methods, mentioned above) is the water flow, (like in the video too much water flow will disable it on your island, I think) I don’t know of any solutions so feel free to reply. All I can think of is making the cobble minion as slow as possible. I haven’t tested any of these and I am not sure if there is a limit on water flow but I am inferring because of what happened. Maybe it’s only the water that disappears (not connected to source) that disables it, I would have to test this too. If water is not a problem, you can use the methods above and have a water path through each lane (maybe have depth strider or speed to move faster) and harvest the mushrooms super fast. In method 2.5, the water will be pushing you back so do not use depth strider or speed. So if you skipped down to the bottom (I probably would have) here are two options: Automatic afk (money) or Manual afk (xp and money). Automatic - build like in this video Manual - build like in original video and use tp pads to go down each lane over and over Once again I want to point out that these have to be tested. I may have some more ideas, but thank you for reading (if u did) maybe this was a huge waste of time (for me and you) but I appreciate it :)
ive had ideas for these for so long and u actually made them cause i didnt have the time to make them im still trying to brainstorm more ideas for farms, and ive been experimenting with stuff right now im working on making something massive in some creative worlds and if it works its gonna be huge
It may be a hassle, but get a TON of hoppers and place them to direct all the mushrooms in the chests into 3-5 main chests. Then you can use a personal compacter to make them all enchanted...
You can use one of those minion insta-sellers that sell the minion's inventory when it is full instead of a super compactor. It would also be possible to only have to use one minion for the entire system making it so you can have hundreds of collection systems coming from one minion if you also get the island upgrade that increases your island size.
I know you don't want too many hoppers on your is, but if you connect the chests with hoppers somehow, collecting them will be so much easier With your current chest design, just putting 3 hoppers going down into the lower chest will work.
Plot twist: he didn't actually show us the chests because in reality there are all full after a day and he tells us not to build the farm so mushroom prices don't crash :D
put down the cobble minion with the water, make a diamond shaped platform undearneath the minion starting on the block that the minion drops the water. with the main mushrooms 1 block higher than all of the others every few blocks, when the water gets to the point where it can no longer flow any farther dig the block underneath it and create the same platform below, except with the holes for the water to go down in the blocks surrounding the middle block and then repeat all of those and you can make multiple layers, probably somewhere around 80 layers each farm, make sure to make walls around the farm so that the water has no problems with flowing out of the farm. If you find problems with the water flowing too quickly and not giving the mushrooms enough time to grow, simply add more minions above and remove the water from the first minion and place it on the top one so that it takes around 10 minions time to let the water flow down, or just place all of the cobblestone down in the 5x5 order its supposed to be in and wait for it to break the specific block with water next to it. if this is extremely confusing to you than dm me on discord (may i speak to the manager#6969) because i will happily make a model of it for you to show you how it works.
I suggest putting hoppers below the chests so that the mushrooms will flow down the chests until it reaches the lowest chest where there will be a storage or something
When I made a small scale test of version 1, I noticed that the shadows from my island cast down to my farm. This caused a patch of darkness. The way I made that farm was with regular dirt in between the original mushrooms to make it faster to build. In the patch of darkness, mushrooms spread on the dirt, something that doesn't usually happen. This explains why your tests on the type of block mushrooms spread to did not show any growth, it had light. I don't think you can light it up to fix it, I tried, it did not make much, if any, difference. Hope that's useful :)
@@thomasmeaney1846 Yes, but I am referring to spreading to other types of blocks. This has made my farm hard to harvest as mushrooms spread to where they weren't supposed to.
Each segment of the farm has 2 total mushrooms that are used for spreading, one brown and one red. Because of the extremely short delay in the water, you can assume that at max only 1 mushroom will spread, so if you put 4 mushrooms per segment, 2 red and 2 brown, mushrooms are still able to grow mushrooms consistently but with 2x speed because of 2x starting mushrooms
Not sure if it would work, but if you put a cobblestone block on the 2 far sides of the minion's platform you might be able to have it release water on 4 columns rather than 2 using by having it do the splitting method shown in the beginning.

oh yhea i remember portal hub's all in one afk farm having an afk mushroom section, sadly it didnt seem to work since the water flushes too often, and everytime water goes down a block it extends the water stream a tiny bit, so after a long distance, the water stays on each block signifigantly longer than it started.
You should make a piston system. You can time it with repeaters, hoppers, and compariters to make longer clocks. For example, you can make a clock that pulls the piston down every 30mins leaving time to grow. Then you can make a pulse extender to keep the piston down for long enough for the water to run through the entire farm then push the piston back up for another 30 mins. This will give maximum growing time but also you won’t have situations where some mushrooms aren’t growing cuz they maxed out. You also don’t have to use minions.
Water flow is a big problem. I remember when I was making a cobble gen that you would run on and mine up I messed up and there was so much water and lava that flowed down and created cobble that I had to spend legit 2 hours breaking cobble and keep seeing water flow turn on and off. It was very annoying.
You can use a T1 Cobblestone minion instead of a T11, this would work out better because it has a longer reaction time, so more time for the water to flow down. You can use an enchanted hopper or a budget hopper so it doesn't fill up.
U can put down 2 obi minions, put one and then the other one a few seconds later.place one obi block for both of them with water source above it.one minion will mine the obi, other minion will re put it a few seconds later.and give them budget hoppers.
That solo co-op if you make this farm will be making ALOT of money because 2 layers for 300k that means that 10 layers = 1.5m and even more than that so you could be making alot of money per day
Instead of a minion, a pretty long hopper clock connected to a dispenser with tnt would work, and it’s easier to control, and it gives the mushrooms more time to grow.
Put hoppers in the middle of the chest section so all the items go to the bottom chests... All the afk one can be used as a back up when you farm your main one
if the mushrooms spreaded to the stone bricks wouldnt that mean that it would spread faster onto the podzol since more total mushrooms? technically it would only make it look worse and assuming im getting the right idea then that means it would buff your farm efficiency. or you can place mushrooms on the stone bricks while building(assuming my idea works)
Oksy how are you making so much? Ladt time i checked enchanted mushroom blocks were only like 30k. Are the individual enchanted mushrooms a lot more expensive? Like with how enchanted melons slices were during the community center projects? Cus i really dont see how this is making so much in comparison to a carrot or potato farm with a replenish hoe. You get more carrots, and then sell for more (as far as i know). Can someone please explain?
you could replace podzol with hoppers since mushrooms spawn on any block and then you have more speed on the hoppers and u have if not 0 way too low of a lose
You couldve just put slabs on the stone bricks instead of trying to replace them all and it might help you get more mushrooms because they might break with momentum and get stuck on the side
You could do an auto dropped system where you use a dropper to drop mushrooms from the top of the farm to the bottom so you can collect all the mushrooms from the farm without a lot of lag
For the water not being around long enough you could have done the cobble stone minion without the cobble stone generator that way the water is around longer
well one problem with this farm is the fact that it has water always flowing, and since you are building layers on layers, etc. there is going to be more water flowing which means it is going to lag so much on most computers.
Soooo yeah this farm still needs a bit of work but boys.. we boutta have something epic :D

We need to get this mans YT rank
Great idea
put hoppers below the chests making them fill into one area so its easier to collect
Is There a specific biome you need on your Island so the mushrooms grow faster?
just as i am building the old farm this vid comes ofc turns out i still need the old one thank god
You couldve just put slabs on the stone bricks instead of trying to replace them all
and it might help you get more mushrooms because they might break with momentum and get stuck on the side
That new intro kinda fire, ngl
You could do an auto dropped system where you use a dropper to drop mushrooms from the top of the farm to the bottom so you can collect all the mushrooms from the farm without a lot of lag
How many layer from your mushroom farm you need to farm it perma
You can make it more near and swap between types in every layer
Auction flippers worship you whenever you make a video
Hey, I really love the intro music, do you have a link/know the name?
This man single handedly is destroying the shroom economy
i like the intro doe :)
Do the mushrooms count to collection?
Is it nerfed my mushrooms only move a little then stop and dematerialize
What is that texture pack?
There’s no reason to make the sides slabs, you can just put podzol for the sides and put red and brown mushrooms there too, it’ll make it 20x faster
Being early is fun 😂😂😂
You have SOOO many iq farms that made me think you are in the Einstein family. Sweet bootie Einstein.
Wait did you just clean the better version of the farm and rebuilt the worse?
Why i dont place buttons at cobble
What is your tp?
Use obsidian mionins instead of cobble minions ,so you that there is more time for the mushroom to grow. Like the video.
another title: i watched timedeos afk farm videos and paid very good attention...
Bro if you want the water to flow for longer, just remove the lava and the water do it flows for a lot longer
The thing is that he doesnt need the water to flow for longer...
Is it possible to afk it like the afk sugar cane farm? The one with the pig pet.
Watch the vid
You could actually do it x4 and make it go from build height to void
no way im so proud im first i love sweetbootiee
put in more mushrooms on the sides Because you are havsting it like each minit so you wont fill up the 5 per thing thing
For the water not being around long enough you could have done the cobble stone minion without the cobble stone generator that way the water is around longer
they spread on the stone bricks because they grow on almost every block when its dark
well one problem with this farm is the fact that it has water always flowing, and since you are building layers on layers, etc. there is going to be more water flowing which means it is going to lag so much on most computers.
Look at his island fo you seriously think that flowing water could be the problem
connect all the chest with hoppers flowing into basically one chest so you dont have to collect them all by each chest
But the redstone clock needs to be long like hwoever long it takes ALL the mushrooms then including the water getting rid of
btw instead of breaking the stone bricks u cdv just put slabs on top of them
This could would but only while you're afk, its way slower than manual since you get more crops by hand
Genius idea! Why did you chose to alternate between red and brown instead of just having red?
