Great work! Not only does the road drains well, but the gravel also offers more traction and support for heavy vehicles that have tires threaded for the highway. That will surely enhance more efficient work by having the pickup truck next to the sawmill. Thanks!
That little packer does a better job that I thought it would. Your new road looks great Tony. Tanya did a good job making you look like you knew what you were doing. Fuuni with ya Tony. Have a great week. Iowa cares.
I really appreciate your videos on grating a driveway. I recently bought land and a compact tractor to work it. I will be making a driveway back through it pretty soon and am needing ideas.
Great info, just subscribed. You guys put out great content, hello from S.C. We've had some good times in Tennessee since the late 80s over the years. My late Brother in-law and late Sister lived in Knoxville and Nashville for many years. He was in the Parts Management business for a couple of Heavy Equipment Dealerships. Take care.
Watch out picking up heavy culverts, your libel to pop something, LOL. The road looks great. Good job friend. Having that compactor was a big plus. I’m in the process of putting in a driveway on my property here in north MS in preparation for building a workshop. I’m inspired and get ideas watching your videos. Thanks
We have clay roads and they are slick as snot after the rain. Hoping once they dry out we can do something like this to the road. We call the dirt 3/4" dirty screen here in AZ.
When I remove a Kubota loader in dirt, I always toss a short piece of 2x6 under the two rest arms. Just like the Harley...smash a soda can and stick it under the kickstand. Nice road bed and culvert job there Tony and Happy Birthday !! I have a pull type roller made from a dismantled machine a bit larger than that rental. The drone and music dressed it up nicely, btw.
Now that you have your road built, it's time to talk to the finance committee about a new land plane for road and driveway maintenance. We were doing our driveway and the common road with a box blade, but the new landplane did it better and faster.
Tony- you talked about your 474 and how it it’s held up. I’m going to be doing many of the same things as you here in NE Tennessee. Road building, out buildings, building a house, sawmill and logging. I’m wondering if I should size up to the 494!? Would really love your input
@@TonysTractorAdventure I’ll have to see them in person. I used to have a cat1/2 kubota m5400. It was a prettt big and capable machine. PS I also saw your carnivore diet video and plan to give it a try. I have all the same symptoms and no docs can figure it out. And I’m only mid 30s
You should have dugged a little bit where the pipe went though. I would also wouldn't have used it in angle. I would have dugg the ground around the road instead. It doesn't feel large enough between both end right now, especially as the winter come by, The more to the end of the pipe you press, the weaker it is as well. You got the tool to replace it anyway in the future and be able to make more videos ;)
Thank you for your input. The road is doing great with no washing and good drainage. I wished I had longer culverts, but it was during Covid. I was happy to get what I could.
@@TonysTractorAdventure glad. Plastic is much cheaper and easier to handle. I just had a lot of problems on my last job and swore off after washouts and collapse problems. They claim it lasts 100 years or more but the state stopped us after ditch burners melted several driveway tubes.
Ours is only used by us. I would go with metal if it was highly traveled. Sorry for the short answer. I was riding in a car, trying to catch up on comments. Our road is doing very good. The gravel I used packs like concrete. If it was going to wash out, it would have this week. We have had 7 days of horrific rain here. Not like a normal Aug.
@@TonysTractorAdventure good to hear some feedback. We did a lot of research at the time on several pipe products and I was wondering what thought s you had on tge subject. Thanks for thoughts and am enjoying your video.
Just curious do the loader valves that stay on the tractor come with colored caps or do you just have that sticker to know where they go. PS Happy Birthday 🥳🎂 have a great day!
Man....I wish I had one of those compactors about 3 weeks ago! Great video buddy...thanks so much for the content..T25 is looking sharp! Josh @stoneyridgefarmer #tym
The driveway is coming along nicely. The compactor is a great tool!
The compactor is nice. If I did this kind of thing more, I would buy an old used one.
I love TN I lived in Paris a few times. I still have a very good friend/brother in Mansfield TN.
God bless you Tony and Tanja, from New Zealand. Bob and Lina.
God Bless you too. I need to come to New Zealand. Such a beautiful place.
Great job Tony
Thank you my friend

I had to put a road in. My wife has pulled my truck out after getting stuck a few time. Wet clay is slick!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONY and many more to come.......
Thank you Mike
Happy birthday Fella! Those twin wall pipes are a real time saver. Thanks again all.
They are lightweight and last forever. After a few more layers of gravel, I think I will be fine with pulling heavier stuff over them.
Happy Birthday Tony! My 50th birthday present was a T25 with a box blade. Love it.
That was a great birthday present!
thanks for taking the time to share this whole process.
Looking good. Only 2 months until I get my T25. So looking forward to it.
You will love it.

Best of luck! I have fun doing these jobs.
nice job happy brithday let Tonya drive the tractor some. take care, be safe and well.
I looked around the other day and the tractor was gone! Tanja was working in her flower garden.
Happy BD Tony. Made it with a minute to spare.
Thank you brother. We are pushing along!

Great video series, thanks
Very welcome
Happy birthday!
Thank you
You did a great job. Having those tractors really are nice.
Tractors are work multipliers. It has take a long time to get to this point. 25 years ago, I would have been out there with a wheel barrow and a rake.
Looks good ole buddy, Happy Birthday.
Thank you. Back to the shop.
Your road looks good. You made it look easy to do. Enjoyed as always.
We had 3 inches of rain yesterday. I hope the road is there!
Happy Birthday 🎉

Matching Jackets - way to cool ;)
Got it at Tractor Supply. LOL!
That should work well!
It has held up a few weeks and with tough rain.
New Music is nice. Tony, you are turning out to be a pretty good back drag operator. lol 😃
Thank you. Always improving.

Good job! Very good explanation of the equipment and their capabilities.
Thank you. We work just inside the limits of our equipment.
Happy birthday and great job on the project. You make it look easy with all your experience.
Thank you Mike. We are moving forward
As usual another great video.
Thank you. My wife is good with the camera. I just run the tractor. LOL!

Thank you

I agree, but the finance committee has me chained to a tree at the moment. She wants the barn finished.

The 474 has held up perfectly. The T494 is a big step up in size. They both are solid rigs. The T494 does have more features.

You speak perfectly understandable Southern Slanglish.
That's Right! Da-gum people don't know good talkin when they hear it.
👍👏👏👏👏👏
nice job on the road
maybe lower the 2nd culvert some more ?
I don't want to lower the culvert below the ground level. It will hold water and fill with dirt. I will add more gravel as time goes on.
Should have used steel pipe. Not enough cover for plastic. Would have helped if you had lowered tube a ways. If it fails you can always lower it.
Still functioning perfectly

Nice. Beautiful area.
You should let Tanya be in front of the camera more often. Love you dearly, Tony, but Tanya is much better looking.
I have created a tractor monster. She loves operating the tractor. She has that little kid look while driving them around.
What’s up with the random couple seconds of music here and there?
Man, I could tell you. I grab something off of a music service that I like. I don't even look at the name.
Hard pass on the music 🎶
