This is a demonstration given to us by a specialist contractor, it was undertaken on scrap plant that had been removed from a furnace as we were looking for better ways o cleaning the scale from existing plant inside the furnace before we replaced the refractory cladding on it. I uploaded it to UA-cam as a way of sharing the demo on a company intranet site, we are not experts in this field. I am leaving the video on here though as it has had a number of views, so if people are interested in seeing the technique, they are welcome to view it. I am however, unable to answer any questions on it as I have very little knowledge on the subject.

is the volume of media used comparable to traditional medias?
i know solid media can be recaptured and reused which would make it a little less costly but i was thinking more about materials like soda blasting where the excess would generally be washed away.

Mr. cdiracingnetHello, the product used in this cleaning technology is non-abrasive, has impact on the surface to clean the dry ice makes sublimate and leaves no trace on the support to clean but also no residues additionally cleared, so this process is Non-abrasive, non-abrasive, non-toxic, dry and not chemical, I am in this field of industrial cleaning for 4 years here in Algeria and believe me if I tell you that it is a pleasure to see in real time the results obtained by this Technology, Best regards

I'm wondering if going to a much larger nozzle had anything to do with the better results?

TBH, I'm embarrassed to say, I uploaded this video because I was looking at ways of adding videos to a company intranet site and using a youtube video was one of them. This is a demonstration given to us by dryiceuk.com/

Does adding olivine leave an abraded surface to the substrate?

We are not experts in this field, his is a demonstration given to us by dryiceuk.com/ which I uploaded to youtube as a way of sharing it on our company intranet site. We found the dry ice blasting with a trickle feed of olivine a lot less abrasive than any other blasting techniques though.
