Even though she's just a background pony, I feel like this is saying that she has a lore and maybe even powers that we will simply never know. In my opinion all ponies can have this effect. This show was such a phenomenon and the art so beautiful that it literally blew my mind
When I was a kid, the universe of Friendship is Magic felt so deep because the fandom created complex lore and personalities for characters we only see for seconds. It was a whole world to explore :')

y'know, it kinda.. hurts. listening to this. if that makes sense at all.
yeah, the nostalgic feeling is still there, but its more overwhelming. It kinda gives me a feeling of hurt in my chest, knowing that the golden days of this fandom are long behind us now. That we can never really reignite that flame of happiness we got from mlp.
Mlp was a big part of my childhood, and you can see it leak into my art too. My mom says that i used to watch it all the time, even though i dont remember it exactly. I have multiple mlp figures, and even stole some from a store (true story, though they were knockoffs and not real ones). I really admired it. I had a huge mlp-inspired artstyle, and even though ive branched out from that, you can still see it in my art.
Whenever i go back to listen to these songs, i get that wave of nostalgia. but its sad nostalgia. Knowing that i could never get those days back, and how i doubt i could get anything to ignite something in me like mlp did. and how the only memories of that happiness could be forgotten from my memory. It could well happen, i have a terrible memory and have already forgotten most of my childhood in america. But, i also look back at it fondly.
There might be a season 5 coming out. I hope it goes on to be like s4, but also branch out into other topics.
But, im fearful.
The internet grew past the naïve nature of the 2000's, and now is much more... strict, if thats the right word. people will not give beginners a chance most of the time, and overall is more hateful. Yes, there are still nice people (as from my own experiences) but it seems much more stricter and unkind.
Or, maybe im looking through rose tinted glasses, as i grew up as the game Transformice as my childhood game (which i shouldn't have, it was very toxic back then. Yes, it did give me some perks like making my writing more fluid via roleplaying, but the cons weigh more than the pros here) and had to deal with very hateful people almost daily. Even today, when i visit the game, there are still terrible people on it almost daily. It warped me, for worse, as i was a daily cafer. i swear, that game gave me some sort of mental problem.

oh yeah, mlp.
I just hope mlp s5 will be from the heart and not the money, as most companies are nowadays. I hope it wont be just a cashgrab to nostalgic mlp fans. I hope it'll be something i could enjoy, like i enjoyed mlp s4 as a kid. I hope it could give me that same happiness, that has long been forgotten by me...

Yes, too sad to move on from bronies which I still can't go because of My entire childhood spent with them. They gave Me big inspiration back in 2015, which I am still using from piece to piece. That was a hell of a youtube comment. I got arrested in 2016, and got out in 2021. I had to condense all of my friends lives into a few days of catch up, and the closer I got to the end of the show, the more physical pain I could feel in my heart. I stopped at season 8, because I was crying too much to bear what I was doing. When I was finally brave enough to see the last 2 seasons, was the day Netflix removed all but 4 seasons.
I was angry and felt betrayed, So I looked around and was able to find the whole series. I will never forgive Hasbro for killing my only friends. But I will say that the land of Equestria filled my heart with more happiness, than the entire real universe I occupy. I hope that on the day I have the courage to leave this world, that I will open my eyes and arrive into the world I have found to be a true home.

As I am relatively new to the fandom,(~March 2023), I am amazed at all the great stuff that I can find from years past, including this song. Since this song features Carrot Top, it led me to a great story on Fimfiction called The Tale of Lord Barleycorn, in which she is a character. It deserves a lot more support that it has, as it is a great story.
This whole song now gives off an aura of pure nostalgia, my eyes flood with tears and memories of the golden years of the fandom whenever I listen to it 😢

i really like mlp, but i was only about to turn 2 when it released. i didn't watch it until late summer 2022. i also find 90s culture to be really cool. mainstream media was so colorful then. the 2000's looked even better, with lots of beveled graphics and translucent shiny objects. sadly, i was born in 2008, so i only got to see that stuff for a few years, probably until like 2012.
This takes me back. As much of a struggle my past was, this music was such an integral part of the happiness that lay therein.

When this song came out this fandom was at an all time high, A constant flood or amazing music from hundreds of different artists, It felt like it would last forever.

I can't believe it's been about 12 years or so since I joined this fandom. I may have not stayed in it the entire time, but I certainly did enjoy my stay each time I revisited.
Even though it may have been the worst time in my life during my time when I was first in the fandom, I still look back very fondly at that era in time.
I'm almost out of high school and I'm so glad I never forgot my time spent enjoying each moment of this fandom, despite the messiness of it.

When I was in this fandom I was a child with no friends and who was abused at home.
Internet and mlp were my way to escape my reality,so now hearing this songs again I get reminded both nostalgia and pain from that time of my life.
