Those P40's are owned by CDOT. Not Amtrak. And they're getting rebuilt/Coke Zer0 decal eventually. I believe the Ex-NJT P40's unit are already in progress of getting the same treatment.
There's CTRail, and Shore Line East Railroad and there's CT's contribution to the MTA. The state is bankrupt. Taxes are up to the eyeballs. Ignominity of it all, GE (or what's left of it) just moved to MA to lower the cost of doing business. And CT is spending money on trains? Oh yes, at 7:22 we have the Acela Express waiting for a platform, stuck behind a CTRail train. Wonder how many times that occurs?
The weather and the color look perfect here.andwhat action! I too miss Connecticut greatly.
Really interesting action and what an idyllic September day in my hometown, which I greatly miss. Excellent video.
Finally, now I can see at least 20 minutes at this station! Thank you!
Amazing (And Good) that the old New Haven RR is held in such esteem in New England, even 49 years after its merger with the ill-fated Penn Central
pleasure meeting you and joining you
Super video!
Thank You Boris!
Nice video transport net 👍
Awesome video
Thank You JaQuan!
Okay, if you all are gonna name these GP40s the "Coca-Cola Zeros", they better serve some Coca-Cola Zero drinks on these trains. 😜
Amtrak is set to overhaul the P40DCs of Shore Line East. Let’s hope they get repainted.

Yeah I know that. CTrail gave Amtrak the contract to overhaul their genesis units.
You mean Amtrak was awarded the contract to overhaul the P40’s. CTRail is its own railroad under the CDOT tree...
Yes
@@bebo2good1 HAS THE FIRST P40 BEEN PAINTED YET, WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE EXACTLY??
Good video!
Thank You Tact!
Good stuff man!
Thank You Andy!
Nice catch of the 106 and switch crew
It will be nicer when C-dot repaints their P40s to their Coke-zero paint scheme to match everything else.
Nice!
Thank You Cool Guy!
how come on the Shoreline east and CT rail they only open one car and one door, while on Metronorth, they open all cars and all doors?
Any reason why coke zero was added in the end of the video title?
Noting the GP40 Coke Zero like design. But I should of been clear on that.
@@bebo2good1 do they call the ex. Mbta rolling stock on ctrail coke zero too
If only you could've posted the deafening sound of the MNR railroad engine. Other than that nice video!

Just to note. CT Rail is the successor of the name/brand "Connecticut Commuter Rail". So CT Rail includes both Hartford Line and Shore Line East.
Connecticut should just stay separate from the MTA
Bro they are
That Metro-North engine is also seen on NJ Transit’s Pascack Valley Line.
The Pascack Valley line also belongs to Metro-North.
