Hello Philip and Tommy , I’m soo happy to see a video on Ireland 🇮🇪 Ireland really is absolutely stunning 😊 my father was from Derry in Northern Ireland , Irish people our always so kind and friendly 😊
Thanks Erik! We had such a great time on this trip-if you have a chance to go to Clare Island, definitely take it. Staying there made a big difference to how well we got to know the property prior to filming-similar to your Ibiza video, and I think it really helped. Thanks for the comment- made my day!
I mean, this is one of the BEST properties i ever saw ! It is perfect ! The nature 😍 the Ocean 😍 everything so gorgeous ! You guys did an amazing job as always ! 👏
I am somehow equally terrified and enchanted by this place. I have nearly fallen out of my four poster bed twice while watching the view down to the sea. I never had a fear of heights or rather vertigo until after I contracted Lyme disease and my, how even viewing heights on film still makes me dizzy even 20 years on. That being said, I would still attempt to live there until I fell over the cliff and regret nothing as I fell. What an enchanting (and terrifying) place!
I’d love to know how much it cost to connect the lighthouse to the power grid. In the USA, it can be $50k for running a cable only 100 feet. That lighthouse looks 1,000x more challenging.
@@Nikitateagurl_77 I think you missed the joke...I'm implying that wealthy people tend to buy properties in expensive cities like Beverly hills and pointing out the absurdity of it because for the same price you can buy a beautiful piece of land/home like the one shown here on Clare island
Lol, those cliffs haven't moved in thousands of years. Plus it's on the lee side of the island. Americans really have no concept of history or time in the historical concept. I live across the water from the Island.
I'm on the taller side, but I think people 200 years ago were quite a bit shorter than we are now. A quick google shows we've collectively gotten about 10cm taller in the last 100 years -- I had trouble finding data older than that.
My father was from Northern Ireland Derry , and he was only 5ft.5 bless his heart , my mother was only half Irish and 6ft so all us kids always taller than my Irish father 😊😊 but my mothers father who was Irish was 7ft 2 so who knows lol

Great property in a wonderful location. Always fancied my own lighthouse, just so atmospheric, if only…

That’s a great question. I can ask the owner. They did invest significantly in upgrades!
The saying is “over the moon, not thru it. Ha!
You are definitely correct! 😂
Where do they get the wood from?
It's brought over by boat from Louisburgh.
Trees
@windupmerchant1679 not on that island they don’t
@@kodek1234 There's a small pine forest on the west side of the island.
why would anyone want a dumb mansion in Beverly hills when you can have THIS?
Beverly hills is not in Clare island

For how long will that place actually exist? Coastal erosion is causing the cliff to encroach on two sides. Just saying. 🤔

Are Irish people short?? Or youre just that tall??

8:27 that painting is atrocious.
Long drive to McDonald's. 😊
Indeed! 😂 -- but there is great local food, a farm-to-table restaurant, a nice coffeeshop, and food at the community center
