A fantastic video Katie about what is the perfect travel vlogging kit for taking when filming vlogs. Thanks Katie for sharing what equipment you use and love 🥰 it. Love ❤ Katie. 🌍
This video literally came up at the right time I needed it. I am planning to go to Malawi in August to help with conservation efforts and watching your video has definitely inspired me to declutter on what I want to take and maybe have a few upgrades to my gear 📷📹
I would pop in a micro fibre towel if it might be damp, or at least a cleaning cloth and a spare memory card. Enjoy your trip, I’d love to go to Japan!
🌎 great timing for me. I ve just been to Morocco and took pretty much the same but in an annoying back pack, i now want the DJI Osmo ready for a Christmas trip 🙂
So excited for your Japan trip! Just got back and vlogged most of my TOKYO visit on my DJI Pocket 3 - such a great little camera! For recommendations - because I love coffee with Katie sessions - definitely recommend a place in GINZA called "Cafe De L'ambre" - a old school coffee house that has been serving coffee since the 1940s. They still use the same coffee griders since they opened. Feels like stepping back in time 🌎🗼 safe travels x
Tips for Japan: shrines, temples, and gardens (often these are found right next to each other)! 🌏 Not only are they beautiful but they also offer a more silent, and - if you're lucky/there at the right time - a less populated place to relax in between the crowded city streets and public transport. In terms of cities, Kyoto is a must-go but I'd also recommend reserving a day or two for Nara - Todaiji with it's enormous main hall is truly a sight to behold. I've only been to the Kansai area myself so my experiences are limited, but I guess there'll be too much to see and do no matter which part of the country you're going to 😅
I got the sony ZV1 which is a little smaller but it's been AMAZING!! only thing I just now noticed though is it doesn't have dynamic, only standard steady shot unfortunately 🥰
🌍Thanks so much for the tips! I'll be going to Japan for a month+ in March and was planning on ordering the DJI 3 to vlog it, this confirmed that was the right decision! I was gonna buy a stamp book too but realised I already have one of those Muji journals so I'll just use that too! 🥰
So helpful! I was today years old when I found out about the monitor brightness hahaa. It's been the only reason why I didn't get the ZV-E10 yet. Thanks for the tip and the other great insights in this video! 🌎
Thanks for the video! I also have an upcoming trip and having 2nd thoughts about carrying a separate camera (osmo pocket 3) when my camera (fuji-x20) also has vlog function...
Can't wait to see your Japan vlogs! The Pocket 3 has been such a game-changer for me when travelling. It's just so tiny! I also have the Insta360 X3 already, but I'm not sure if it's worth upgrading to the X4? 🤔
8:21 The 2000 Yen Bill is actually super rare in Japan (besides Okinawa) and most tourists happen to have one by exchanging money at a bank in their home country. Japanese People are gonna be suprised when they see one so make sure to make the best use out of it!
🌎 Can't wait to see your vlogs from Japan! I was just there in July (my profile pic is from TeamLabs Borderless in Tokyo). Soooo many places to see! Kyoto was a definite favourite! We got a lot of tips from Abroad in Japan channel. One of these days I will edit my videos from Japan and get them uploaded to my channel! Take a coin purse (or buy one right away), try the egg salad sandwiches from 7/11, Pocari Sweat drink to replenish electrolytes, load Suica card in your Apple Wallet before you leave home for super convenient touch and go at train stations and easy pay at 7/11 and other stores. We found most places take credit cards, but still have some cash. 7/11 atm offers the best exchange rate.
Just a cleaning cloth... takes virtually no space and it's a lifesaver when your lens or camera gets damp or dirty. Happy travels! ✈🎎
Always love your advice and tips! 🌎
🌎Camera gear for any capacity, Katie is a definite go to! Great content as always.

I loved seeing all the different places you visite
Minus your main camera, we carry all the same things. We just added the DJI Nano drone. That was a great addition

🌎 Love the sling, such a nice design, and also, thanks for pointing out the DJI Sony hot shoe adapter!
ok you've convinced me that i need a sling. My bags are either too big or too small!

Insightful! Thanks for sharing these, hoping all is well these days. Cool sightings 📷

Make sure you guys check out the 7/11 stores. Great spot for food.

I’m totally into that #SBS shot, I love that you’re sort of suggesting the #3D video file :v
