Like, say, Scoripion shows up in Tekken but just doesn't attack with blood splatters or tear out Jin's spine and crushes Kazuya's brain and stuff?
I thought I was going crazy bc I could’ve sworn I read that having Tekken Hybrid save data would unlock a Shin costume for Jin in TTT2. Turns out he was a cut character completely
First Street Fighter, now Tekken! This should definitely be a series. All we need now is videos about cut characters from Mortal Kombat, Darkstalkers, Soulcalibur, Dead of Alive and the SNK fighters (Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury, King of Fighters and Samurai Showdown) :)
Eliza was the reason i started playing Tekken revolution when that game came out bc she felt like a lost Darkstalker and it made me really happy when she got to come back in t7 but im getting conflicting feelings now bc Morrigan is my favorite character period and learning about not getting her in something kind of hurts. I hope at least that Eliza can come back for another game eventually bc i still really like her either way
I'm kinda hoping if they revisit the idea of a Darkstalkers character in Tekken, then they choose to add Lord Raptor. Morrigan makes the most sense since she is THE Darkstalkers character, but it would be nice to see some more representation across the whole series. Also I just feel Raptor would fit in with cast really well, however, if I were to pick any character it would be Hsien-ko.
The idea of spending money at the arcade to accidentally pick a nonfunctioning fish does sound like it would hurt, but then you got to see other people go through the same thing and laugh about it too. Might have made it worth it.
That taekwondo girl's design looks amazing! 😍 Her color scheme might be a bit too close to asuka but I hope she makes it in 8 somehow! Also can't say I'm not at least a little bit salty knowing that we were the closest we've ever been to bringing darkstalkers back to life and making it popular again 😅
I still hope they'll add Morrigan. I mean Eliza clearly takes some moves from her, that sharp pointed foot has a glow strike to make it appear even sharper like a needle. That airborn upper-cut thing she does is a literal Morrigan move.
I was actually looking up the Revolution poll a few hours before this was posted. I thought I imagined it, "Did they really make one of the options a praying mantis and an old guy? I must have imagined it." Yeah, in hindsight, no wonder Eliza won. Edit: What, no mention of the illustrious "Average, run-of-the-mill old man" which was a choice in the poll for some reason? A fighter that would've rivalled Akuma's reveal.
Okay but between the skinny scientist turning into a hulking (heh) monster (giving me Jekyll and Hyde vibes) and the zombie bride and outright Morrigan... now I wanna see the Tekken devs do their own take on a horror themed fighting game.
Don't ever give up hope on Darkstalkers, Thorgi. I haven't, and part of that is because of you making the amazing videos about the series. I will believe until my dying breath that Darkstalkers Are Not Dead, and I think somehow, some way, we, the fanbase, can make that dream a reality some day.
The Hulk type character would be cool! We have a lot of stance characters, but changing shape and weight class is something I've only seen in Smash Bro
for the dragunov fans: according to a source i found he was meant to be in tekken 3, his design has been around since the 90s, he was scrapped and put in the series later then in this case
Something I want to note was that according to an episode of Harada’s bar, he actually said that Geese wasn’t the first pick as the snk rep, and that the original pick was Ryuji Yamazaki. But it never happened because the team/him figured you can’t have the henchmen before big boss Geese. Which I for one would’ve loved to see those interactions if we did get him… or if we can get him now considering Geese was in Tekken 7.

Spoiler warning! 15:14 Lady Paul is actually in Tekken 8 you can find her in the Arcade Quest mode at the "Phoenix" arcade. Her name is Jet, she wears a helmet, when you fight her she will play as Paul with a skull helmet, after you win she takes off her helmet essentially revealing herself as female Paul. If it wasn't for this video I would have never caught this hidden Easter Egg.
Bruh , theres a story behind Nina's Wedding outfit. She disguised herself as Anna during Anna's wedding, to assassinate her fiance. She ran away after the assassination and bumped into Steve. And that's why Anna wore that black/red dress with feathers , because she went to her fiance's funeral.
I don't think the Walrus Man will not fit in on the roster when there is a Tiger mask wearing luchador that only speaks in roars, 2 bears, a kangaroo with boxing gloves and a raptor with boxing gloves at one point.

Trying to imagine what it would have been like if the scrapped Tekken 1 characters stuck around. - Walrus Guy: he would have been an early Marduk. Perhaps, there could have been a history between him and King (or Armor King). Maybe, he could have even taken Marduk's place in Tekken 4 (I doubt they would have created Marduk if they already had a big, buff wrestler around), maybe making him more serious and keeping the storyline that Marduk had. I hope so, because try to imagine that infamous King-Marduk-Armor King cutscene, but "Marduk" wears a walrus suit and, probably, makes walrus noises; - Mr. Hanuman: Maybe, he could have been among the original generation, and being eventually scrapped. Perhaps, Tekken 7's Fahkumram could have been his apprentice, as we see an older version of him training Fahkumram; - Lula, the "Yoga Aura" girl: maybe she could have been an early Xiaoyu/Lili character in terms of "her story is full of typical high school anime shenanigans". Since she was a teenager, this means that, in the "current" generation, she could have been in her 30s. I would have appreciated it, because Tekken's female characters are either schoolgirls/20somethings or, when they are older, there's a reason why they are still youthful looking. Perhaps, she could have been a character akin to Zafina? - "Hulk" character: first of all, I can't wrap my head around HOW this was going to be handled, legally. Second, I wonder if he was going to fill the role of either Dr. Abel or Dr. Boskonovitch. Him changing forms could have been something fun, though, because this only ever happens with main characters, or villains (in case of Ogre); - The Van Damme-like character: first of all, I wonder how they would have handled having a Van Damme-inspired character while Street Fighter was having a movie adaptation where he was playing the main character. Second, I can see him being used in the same way as Lei Wu Long, with his own storyline inspired by Van Damme's movies. Perhaps, down the line, he could have been asked to voice this character; (Side note: for the Tekken live action movie, they planned on featuring Jackie Chan and Jet Li. Now, imagine if there was also a character inspired by Jean Claude Van Damme, and then the movie tried to include him. We could have had a Tekken movie wiith Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Jean Claude Van Damme!) These characters do seem like they could have changed the tone of Tekken. It was clear that Tekken 1 was meant to have a more colourful, funny angle. What do you think?
I'd love to have either Terry Bogard or Mai Shiranui be the KOF rep DLC for Tekken 8. Also we were truly robbed of not having Morrigan. Would really be interesting to have her fighting style translated in a tekken game. Minus the Astral Vision Soul Fist spam.

Marvel vs Tekken doesn't sound that half bad an idea, honestly. Imagine the rivalry between Doctor Doom and Kazuya! Also, I just discovered that other guest characters planned for Tekken 7 included Colonel Sanders, Red from Angry Birds, and even Donald Trump. Guess they really did want to go weirder than Negan.
I hope they bring back that one Velociraptor character back. I haven't been following Tekken 8 so I don't know if he's in it but I would love if he was because I love characters like him and Riptor from Killer Instinct
Zombie Bride could've been an interesting character gameplay wise. No idea how they'd keep the T rating with it, but it would've been cool to see her have moves where she uses one of her own limbs as a club. Kinda like the main character from Medievil
Harada also wanted to include Ryuji Yamazaki as the initial Fatal Fury villain pick, but went with Geese because he didn't feel it was right to have Yamazaki before him.

@gregvs.theworld451 it'll probably never happen because apparently in Japan MK is banned regularly because of its violence, so it's a virtually unheard of franchise
@@sabbathjackal Yeah, I know. I'm guessing that's probably a big reason why MK is in an odd spot despite Ed seemingly wanting MK to feel as big as Street Fighter, Tekken, etc. I agree it's not likely but theoretically couldn't a Japanese game have an MK guest star that just doesn't go as hard as MK typically does? Like, say, Scoripion shows up in Tekken but just doesn't attack with blood splatters or tear out Jin's spine and crushes Kazuya's brain and stuff?

I can't help but feel that Sake just became Boskonovich.
A man fighting in a walrus costume sounds like the most tekken thing ever.
Season 3 DLC
I’m calling it.
This was low-key an episode of build-a-roster for tekken tag 3
I'm sorry did I see that right was that Morrigan? For Tekken? Dear God imagine the soul fists
Soul Fist versus Iron Fist?
Queen of Soul Fist Tournament?
It's not like they're going to add her illusion super from umvc3.
That super was a "dark force" move in darkstalkers 3 originally @@Brixpascito

Really wanting Morrigan to become the go to guest character like she was in the 90s. Seriously would love to see her make an appearance in Tekken 8
I thought I was going crazy bc I could’ve sworn I read that having Tekken Hybrid save data would unlock a Shin costume for Jin in TTT2. Turns out he was a cut character completely
Now I can imagine Harada looking at the polls sweating bullets, hoping the fish didn't win.😂
I was in love when Walrus Guy was mentioned. roflmao how is that not a costume choice. Give the Walrus to Paul
Let's be real, if Sake the Salmon DID become a fighting game character because of the poll Eliza won, what would Sake's moveset be like?
Probably similar to Steve. Lots of hook punches and fishing for uppercuts.
Splash, Splash, Splash, Splash
OK, look at a Magikarp from Pokemon... Yeah, there is your moveset
@@omnibeta1876 That would be funny as hell ngl.
Flopping around, being unable to attack in any way except for a bite attack and a tail slap, and then gets horribly defeated.
I hope at least that Eliza can come back for another game eventually bc i still really like her either way
14:26 You're telling me Tekken was going to have his own version of freaking Hinako from KOF? Lmao
Every one on the Tekken crew is a different kind of pervert, each with their own niche interest. Its a delicate balance, but it works.
Morrigan and or Felicia for me.
Morrigan makes the most sense since she is the face or Darkstalkers
No way
This week? ITS TONIGHT BABY
"Scrapped her because they thought that her outfit would be too revealing..."
Christie, Zafina, Katarina: "Are we joke to you?!"
She'd be like Cloud with assets frfr 😂
@@lukecalumlyonwrath7723 funny to mention that Cloud once cross-dressing as women 🤣
Of everything mentioned here, I want to see "Paulina" the most. Another great video as always, Thorgi!
The idea of spending money at the arcade to accidentally pick a nonfunctioning fish does sound like it would hurt, but then you got to see other people go through the same thing and laugh about it too. Might have made it worth it.
If you want to see what a giant praying mantis would like in a fighting game, look at the secret characters in WCW Thunder...
Morrigan almost being in Tekken 7 is kinda funny considering I made my Lili look like Morrigan
On which tekken?
Sake The Salmon is cannonically the strongest character in the Tekken universe.
Well glad you release this right on time on Tekken 8 releasing
Tekken 8 should have a guest character from Dead or Alive and also Bloody Roar.
This man just makes you happy people who truly enjoy fighting games exist 😊
I take pride in giving Eliza a Morrigan skin in T7 and I had no idea about that wild fun fact.
Same.
Thats not the reason nina has a wedding dress on. Its actually because nina stole the wedding dress from anna and killed anna's fiancé. And anna has her dress to represent that she is a widow.
“Speaking of Salmon we now cut to Tekken 3.” Is maybe my favorite sentence of all time
The Tekken story is not coming to a close. They been saying the past few Tekkens were the last Tekken 😂
regarding that Eliza Morrigan theory - Eliza in T7 has a customization piece that's just her default outfit but with bigger boobs. I always thought that's super weird but now that I'm thinking about it it could also kinda be a reference to Morrigan actually.
she did always had big boobs even in revelation but you level it up to BIG by sucking blood and being good at revelation gameplay i think T7 has level up system for her too i dunno but it also has option as person above said

Oh boy that Tekken retrospective is going to be fun because oh man,Jinpachi Mishima and Azazel are two of THE hardest bosses in the series.
Imagine being the poor soul that put money in the Arcade and had to fight these cheap bastards. To me, Azazel was worse not just because the teleporting, but he took up so much of the screen in addition to somehow having even more overpowering stun BS (which would just be spammed one after another).
@@DirgeTV Than there's the spikes on the ground, this is a boss you need to turn on Guard damage
12:34 I want to see this lady be playable in Tekken 8 ngl
My favourite cut character: Morrigan from Darkstalkers
Whelp, I had the same reaction but now we see she WAS cut from Tekken XD
And you thought he was joking puting her in the thumbnail XD
We need Sake, the mantis, and Lovely the cow in a game please!
Also I'm surprised you missed Kazuya in 3.
everyone knows jcvd is in mortal kombat now because johnny cage was based on him but what many don't know is that mk was originally pitched as basically a van damme fighting game. it's also not that weird that he was considered as inspiration for a tekken character when you have law & lei in there
That doctor bloke flopped around on the floor when he fought.
Came for the Morrigan thumbnail. Was not disappointed.
Sure, that's the in-universe reason, but this is Bandai Namco we're talking about.
I miss unknown, unknown was so fun and hard to fight especially with friends and family in tag team
I don't think the Walrus Man will not fit in on the roster when there is a Tiger mask wearing luchador that only speaks in roars, 2 bears, a kangaroo with boxing gloves and a raptor with boxing gloves at one point.
And the kangaroo and raptor hook up....
Well, technically, Dimitri from Darkstalkers is a vampire and has moves similar to Morrigan, so it would make sense for Eliza, the vampire, would be similar, too. I'm surprised a Dimitri skin wasn't used for Eliza.
Man Sake wouldve attained daytona car levels of legendary
I feel like the zombie bride could be a Benjie like Sindell maybe some attacks with screams, transparancy, nails and hair would be cool
The female zombie would work like Lord Raptor from Darkstalkers
Developer: "I've got it. Lady Paul!"
Harada: *looks at him sternly and slides a katana across the table*

Trying to imagine what it would have been like if the scrapped Tekken 1 characters stuck around.
- Walrus Guy: he would have been an early Marduk. Perhaps, there could have been a history between him and King (or Armor King). Maybe, he could have even taken Marduk's place in Tekken 4 (I doubt they would have created Marduk if they already had a big, buff wrestler around), maybe making him more serious and keeping the storyline that Marduk had. I hope so, because try to imagine that infamous King-Marduk-Armor King cutscene, but "Marduk" wears a walrus suit and, probably, makes walrus noises;
- Mr. Hanuman: Maybe, he could have been among the original generation, and being eventually scrapped. Perhaps, Tekken 7's Fahkumram could have been his apprentice, as we see an older version of him training Fahkumram;
- Lula, the "Yoga Aura" girl: maybe she could have been an early Xiaoyu/Lili character in terms of "her story is full of typical high school anime shenanigans".
- "Hulk" character: first of all, I can't wrap my head around HOW this was going to be handled, legally. Second, I wonder if he was going to fill the role of either Dr. Abel or Dr. Boskonovitch. Him changing forms could have been something fun, though, because this only ever happens with main characters, or villains (in case of Ogre);
- The Van Damme-like character: first of all, I wonder how they would have handled having a Van Damme-inspired character while Street Fighter was having a movie adaptation where he was playing the main character. Second, I can see him being used in the same way as Lei Wu Long, with his own storyline inspired by Van Damme's movies. Perhaps, down the line, he could have been asked to voice this character;
(Side note: for the Tekken live action movie, they planned on featuring Jackie Chan and Jet Li. Now, imagine if there was also a character inspired by Jean Claude Van Damme, and then the movie tried to include him. We could have had a Tekken movie wiith Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Jean Claude Van Damme!)
These characters do seem like they could have changed the tone of Tekken. It was clear that Tekken 1 was meant to have a more colourful, funny angle. What do you think?
Hope the smash 6 btr well be the next video good video man
It is, I'm working on it right now. Shouldn't be too long before it's out.
to think that we didn't get Morrigan in T7... but we got fucking Neegan
man I love this channel 'cause how Aron deliver his presentation
From a wrestler who ests salmon to a playable giant salmon. I like Tekken's wacky side.
I'd really love to see a Zombie Bride in a Tekken game, and to show her in Tekken 6. It'll be one awesome reveal. Also Sake should make his debut on Tekkwn 8 as a secret DLC character. Also for guest character, I want Yujiro Hanma to be included in Tekken 8.
A 3D marvel fighting game would be kinda hype. Imagine attacks that take up a 1/4th of the stage having insane movement speed.
that carbine impression is amazing, PLOP
I hope they bring back that one Velociraptor character back. I haven't been following Tekken 8 so I don't know if he's in it but I would love if he was because I love characters like him and Riptor from Killer Instinct
ok but hear me out: the Hanuman mask looks dope af
Zombie Bride could've been an interesting character gameplay wise. No idea how they'd keep the T rating with it, but it would've been cool to see her have moves where she uses one of her own limbs as a club. Kinda like the main character from Medievil
Tekken 2 was the peak because I too don't need sources to claim something
And I want Eliza back in 8
I'm deeply sorry but the thumbnail definitely says "A History of Clit Tekken Characters" have a nice day
Harada also wanted to include Ryuji Yamazaki as the initial Fatal Fury villain pick, but went with Geese because he didn't feel it was right to have Yamazaki before him.
If Kuma was any indication the walrus guy would have looked butt ugly with Tekken 1's graphics
My hope for Guest Fighters in Tekken 8:
Tifa Lockhart
Morrigan
Albert Wesker, Leon Kennedy or Ada Wong
