i do that but with a support, and usually in math questions, like: 124 + 62 x 11 A) 742 B)542 C)806 D)1385 if all of the numbers have different algarisms in units, i just ignore every algarism but the units, so 2 x 1 = 2 2 + 4 = 6 and the only option with 6 at the end is C, so c is correct
All due respect to strategy, its called a vocab in CONTEXT for a reason. While the primary definition is almost always a trick answer, its still important to at least read the sentence. These should be easier problems that dont take up as much time as say finding evidence etc.

I always eliminate the options that are too similar. If there are two options like carry and clench compared with two very different meanings, you know it isn't either because on standardized tests they don't try to trick you on that level. They'll put in answers that are common mistakes, but if you get it they won't make you choose between two virtually identical words. Works for almost every test. Most teachers put two options that are very similar and based on one common mistake, one option that's very wrong, and one option that's right. I've been pulling 90% and above on my 1000 level child psych college class quizzes without reading a lick of the material.
Yep. That process of elimination is logically justified psych questions are fairly common-sense lol but expect to study more in-depth when you get to higher levels

Everyone hating about the dots, and they don't know that he tried his best to give you a good explanation... Is that how people say thanks these days? Damn
it’s fun on the first question as a French student, expecting this to be an english test i could tell it was neither « establish » nor « tradition » as those are transparent words and as « shape » was really commonly used i knew the right answer was « mold »
yeah that's the problem...we can interpret words differently, especially with different cultural backgrounds, so the method isn't that reliable lol, but those trying to use it can test it out on practice exams

Great, watching this while taking my test! Hope I get a perfect score!

“The answer won’t be like the other three answers”
*Puts no change for everything*
Bruhhh. I wish you could take the reading section for me!! I’m good at the math but the reading.. 🤮
hey I'd take math skills over reading any day :P But don't worry bro, you WILL improve you just gotta stay on that grind and don't give up!! Also try reading ANY book you like for 30 minutes each day! It's a fun way to improve your reading skills! : )
@Danny_Programs ! I feel you
@@ShivVZG Thank you for your advice
@@Jackyliu009 no problem!! : )
I don’t recommend doing this...
It’s never safe to guess the answer on tests like this
May I ask why...?
Why
@@johnperalta420 what was wrong with their grammar in that comment?
Khalil Khalil “than don’t worry” I like to eat apple 🍏 sauce with the blay blay man 👨 too
@@johnperalta420 I still don't get it
i do that but with a support, and usually in math questions, like: 124 + 62 x 11
A) 742
B)542
C)806
D)1385
if all of the numbers have different algarisms in units, i just ignore every algarism but the units, so
2 x 1 = 2
2 + 4 = 6
and the only option with 6 at the end is C, so c is correct
It's all fun and games til the teacher adds another one that has 6
69.) What is the answer?
A. B
B. A
C. Both of them
D. All of the above
How did you get the answer?
Show your thinking, explain your answer.
absolutely not i would walk out of the exam
I despise this with every fiber, molecule and atom of my being.
All due respect to strategy, its called a vocab in CONTEXT for a reason. While the primary definition is almost always a trick answer, its still important to at least read the sentence. These should be easier problems that dont take up as much time as say finding evidence etc.
I’m in college, and I’m watching this.
IM IN COLLEGE…
AND IM WATCHING THIS.
I'm taking the Psat 10 as a freshman because my teacher recommended it to me. I hope I'm prepared for the Sat when the time comes. I'm definitely going to apply this strategy in my psat and the Sat in the near future. Thanks man u earned my sub.
That’s amazing you’re prepping so early, bro! I didn’t even know what the PSAT was when I was in 9th grade xD You’ll ACE the SAT AND the PSAT for sure if you keep the grind up! And I hope the strategy works for you, good luck on that PSAT!! : D And thanks for subbing! ; )
@@ShivVZG You're very welcome for the sub. I just want to make sure that my future is a successful one. I know that the PSAT doesn't really matter to me because colleges look for your SAT, but I just wanna make sure that I am on the correct path.
That's really admirable! And the 10th grade PSAT doesn't count BUT if you do well enough on the 1tth grade one, you can potentially qualify for national merit (scholarships) and looks good to colleges ; )
@@ShivVZG It's people like you who share their honest way to pass the SAT are very remarkable. Thank you, and I mean this from the bottom of my heart. You're my primary source from now on besides Khan academy lol.
@@chrono1717 ahhh you're too kind bro, thank you!! And I'm honored you find my tip vids to be one of your primary sources for prep! Khan academy is awesome too bro, that's great you're using that as well! : D
Yep. That process of elimination is logically justified
psych questions are fairly common-sense lol but expect to study more in-depth when you get to higher levels
If this guy was in my school growing up he would be my best friend studying buddy p.s your freaking smart asf and know how to get through anything school related even probably the ways of the life , you explain things so simple understandable in a short amount of period of time
Me, who goes to a school that basically never does multiple choice quizzes: *interesting*
Video: goes on
Dots: *INTENSIFY*
some kid in my class just says "when in doubt choose the D!" every time he doesn't know the answer to a question
the scary part is that it usually works
Me when taking tests: *gets fortune teller* or “hm there must be some pattern to this inevitable thing”
Don’t feel nervous when taking the SAT, if you screw up, you can always retake this test whenever you’d like. Just try your best!
Very true! Good luck dude!! : )
Yah and pay $104 each time
And miss the university deadline
I literally did this in 5th grade, and when my teacher asked how we found the right answer, I explained this. She was just confused and had no idea what I was talking about.
Imagine he just looks up and the teachers like: 👁👄👁
N👁️rmie
Me: *Already did my SATs*
Me: WHY AM I WATCHING THIS NOW EVEN THO I DONT NEED THIS INFORMATION ANYMORE.
hahaha hey maybe it'll come in handy on some other test xD
I’m also a yt.

@@naidalaurensalunga8765 No problem!!! And I'm so glad you liked them! : D
it’s fun
on the first question
as a French student, expecting this to be an english test
i could tell it was neither « establish » nor « tradition » as those are transparent words
and as « shape » was really commonly used i knew the right answer was « mold »
yeah that's the problem...we can interpret words differently, especially with different cultural backgrounds, so the method isn't that reliable lol, but those trying to use it can test it out on practice exams
I don’t really know what the SATs exam is because I’m just a Malaysian 6th grader who is going for UPSR. But it sounds pretty hard and I hope whoever is going for SATs is going to pass with flying colours and stuff. ^~^
Edit: Also thanks for teaching me some tricks that I can use when it’s my turn (^ - ^)
No problem! : D
iiCrxstalRain ayyy good luck for UPSR! Study well and make sure you choose your secondary school wisely :) - from a Malaysian Form 3 student going for PT3 this year.

Corona
So.... I just took the sat about 2 weeks ago and NOW I’m seeing this. Thanks UA-cam algorithm.
I can't believe this was on my algorithm...

If you want to pass any test just send your teacher a picture of their daughter being held at gunpoint, works every time :)
