I mean people ride it because they want to be totally drenched to the point that it take awhile to dry. Oh wouldn't forbidden frontier make a nice place for a scare zone? (It would have to be kid friendly type of scare zone but still. Could work.)
Biggest reason the island failed in my opinion is because it's always been one way in and out. Even the halloweekends bayou attraction hardly gets a line because it's off the path. Expanding the path and completing some type of loop would be the biggest move to get foot traffic to the island. I would be super hype if they built another Maverick like coaster or a cool new area with some flat rides. WCO will be a good one
I was thinking the same thing about no second path into the island. If they made it accessible from opposite sides of the park, people could use it as a shortcut and potentially stop at shops and food stands. But, if it's a dead end trail, you need some kind of fantastic ride to draw people onto the island. A playground isn't the answer. Families don't pay $$$ and come to CP just to play on a playground.
Great thoughts! This would indeed make a lot of sense to expand the footprint of the park. The more footage they can make people walk to get to a new attraction, the more people might need to spend two or more days to get everything done. Plus, this looks like it would be a really interesting area, if they could get it done right.
They definitely want to increase the number of days it takes for people to see everything. I think going from a 2 day park to a 4 day park will be crucial to their growth.
Great video... yes the word expansion does seem very calculated in the announcement of Snake River Falls closing. Also loved the theorized images of new pathway. In your image in the video you have the waterway to the "river" almost exactly what did exist prior to building of Snake River Falls. (It did have water connect at a smaller level [sort of a small canal] from the red brick bridge from Frontier Trail into Frontier Town all the way to the "river" for the old boat ride around the island before they built the huge concrete splash down basin for Snake River Falls).
I predicted a B&M Hyper or giga. They could really use the capacity one of those offers back there and having the splashdown on Diamondback would be nice. If they relocate Skyhawk, there is enough space for the splashdown, brake run, and a new station there. I really don't want to see another low capacity coaster.
This makes a lot of sense. I asked my self why would you build such a nice play ground and not use it. I figured it was still back there. I’m interested in see if and of the ride is taken down by Friday.
in terms of what kind of coaster they'll put in, i think there are several possibilities. they could do a B&M surf coaster, a Mack stryker or water coaster, an RMC raptor (or maybe the 1st ever TRex) or a woodie from GCI or Gravity Group! maybe a modern Vekoma thrill coaster of some sort could be cool too!
I would absolutely love to see a wooden coaster. They are my favorite. However, personally I think that CP would use the opportunity to introduce a new coaster type that currently isn't already in the park.
Couldn't see another restaurant there cause there is already two there (Farmhouse and the one across from Maverick exit.) Really wish they would reintroduce the play area for kids. Great video on pointing out all the possible spacing that could be involved.
My idea could be expensive but i think Cedar Point needs to bring something big to bring more people into that are I think Cedar point will definitely add bridges to be able to go through Millennium island through the back side and front side also going through the former Snake River expedition and if possible maybe through Iron Dragon and Rougarou. With this is what i would do with my creative mind is that Cedar point could repurpose the idea like you said keep the playgrounds and river raft etc while retheming the island back into a Dinosaur themed land and maybe the park could add food stands and theme it to like what Dinosaurs alive once was. Cedar point had a server on coaster ideas was a Tower coaster a Tilt coaster a Mack Water Coaster and a family coaster. I thought the Mack Water Coaster and Tower Coaster and Family coaster would be the best fits. The Mack water coaster can be called like Dinosaurs Alive the ride and then the Tower coaster can be the lands center peace the Family coaster can be apart of camp snoopy and maybe they can connect the lands with new pathways. Maybe they can add food stands like you said as well as new flat rides hopefully more unique ones which i think the park needs. Id also like to see a Flying theatre of some sort it would fill in a dark ride which is something i think the park needs most. My idea for the Town hall museum is actually a new dark ride thats haunted theme i think it would untalize the building while being able to keep the building. A restaurant wouldn’t be a terrible idea either i just think it would give it more a porpoise like ive always thought a Haunted mansion type attraction would be pretty cool doesn’t have to be Disney level just fun and quirky. I think that would be pretty cool for a replacement. Lastly this is where it gets expensive and unrealistic i think it would be cool if Cp opened a new Intaman 500ft coaster at around Millennium forces station and go around the Island and the park to compete with Falcons Flight . While the manufacturer Intaman could help work on TT2 to make it more reliable that would be a win win if they figure things out with Intaman. Probably not happening but that would be cool and maybe around that new record breaking coaster CP could open a new modern museum close by and that can be a new themed land as well. Speaking of witch i thought it would be really cool if Cp opened a new smaller hotel at the former cp dorms plot and maybe they could open a new Vekoma flyer or B&M similar to Fly at Phantasialand that goes over the water this coaster would open like the next year to be sure it doesn’t open at around the same year. I like the idea of a Raptor but i think it could go at another area. A Free spin would also be a good fit capacity wise wether it would be for millennium island or not. Cp could even go with a Mack Stryker to break the inversion record that could go with the expansion or a later addition. Same thing with a GCI and other possible additions. It would also be a good addition for the island if Cp added a boat ride experience named after GA Beckoning or something that goes around the island. It would add a more relaxing attraction to the park. I apologize for the long comment but your video brought back to some of my ideas I’ve thought of and this is what i would do as park manager. I’m blowing money lol but i thought it would be something that will draw people to that Island. Nice video keep it up!
No need to apologize at all! Spouting off ideas is what we do here! Thanks for watching! Your dark ride idea sounds a lot like the Boo Blasters ride at King's Island, which is actually probably the ride I've ridden more than any other in the world. Dark rides are excellent. My entire family agrees that getting rid of the boat ride entirely was a mistake. They really should have something that utilizes the river because it makes a fun, simple attraction.
@@cedarpointless Oh okay i just didn’t know if it was too much haha, of course! Something similar to Boo Blasters. I wouldn’t say exactly like Boo Blasters. I would take the shooting aspect out of it so something more like the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland ofc not nearly as themed maybe themed like Boo Blasters but i think it would be cool if Cedar Point brought the Defunct Attractions museum they do for Halloweekends and put it for the que line for this attraction season round ive always thought that would be really cool and i thought it would keep the museum aspect of the Town hall. Yeah I think the Park definitely needs a boat attraction. All thought one Issue comparing 2 parks here ofc different with it being man made with Cedar points river and the Rivers of America at Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom . Its much bigger compared to Cedar points river even with Jungle Cruise much more space. I’m not sure if they could fit a Mark Twain sized boat but maybe if they open up around where Snake river falls was and bring the River out to Lake Erie maybe it could work? Maybe it could be taken out to Lake Erie and Cedar point could advertise the attraction as a way to get pictures of the park! It think thats something that would be for all ages and could be a bigger draw than Snake River Expedition.
No hate here. I hate seeing things go. It's always sad. Unfortunately, in this case, I think it's just necessary because the ride is becoming so hard to keep running. Even with only days left, the ride is breaking down almost every day.
I am expecting something like this where they are going to use the island as an extension of Camp Snoopy. I wouldn't be shocked though if the coaster on the left side of the island is a "Big Bear Mountain" style launch coaster that the entire family can enjoy. By making an updated family ride that would allow them to remove Cedar Creek or even Iron Dragon one day as those two are the most likely to go next in the next 10 years.
I haven't ridden Big Bear Mountain, but it looks like one I'd really like. Would love to see that kind of ride come and then Cedar Creek Mine Ride go, personally. The layout of that ride is extremely uninspiring.
I think you’re sniffing up the right tree. When they installed Forbidden Frontier I thought they missed a HUGE opportunity to connect it to Camp Snoopy AND Frontier Trail (where the actual entrance was). This would make for a great, natural way to cross the island without needing to go all the way around. I could see them keep the current entrance to Forbidden Frontier (and the connection to Camp Snoopy) and possibly replace Snake River Falls with a splash battle similar to what Carowinds is getting next year (those are a ton of fun), and then developing the rest of the island as you suggested, with some sort of smaller anchor coaster (RMC Raptor, Gerstlaur, or a Gravity Group family woodie) that transitions well into a family area.
Yes, they really messed up by not having a bridge connecting to Camp Snoopy. I'd bet that if they did that, Forbidden Frontier would probably have worked out. Glad we seem to think alike! Thanks for watching!
Cedar Point's only coaster between Corkscrew (85') and Gemini (125') in height is Maverick (105'). It'd definitely be in CP's interest to replace SRF with a coaster that's more oriented to families.
I'm not thrilled about reopening the west side of the island to foot traffic. The current path infrastructure on the island is NOT a shortcut between Camp Snoopy and CCMR, and the bridge by Frontier Fling is also a bit of a hike from Iron Dragon. The only way this makes sense is if CP has a plan to anchor this half of the island with two family thrill coasters. In this case, Frontier Fling might be moved to the SRF pond (if it's still worth operating as an upcharge. The views of Mav and SteVe would be awesome) Then CP would build a Mack water coaster using the current FF plot and some of the land on the island. After several years, when CCMR is closed, CP could then combine the remaining land on the island with the Mine Ride site for a ground-up GCI with 100% Titan Track. But even then, the current paths would need to be filled in with flat rides over time.
Not many people do the sky coaster either and they could utilize that space too. I personally would love for them to do a new Vekoma flyer as that’d be unique for us here in the US.
I would prefer a water coaster that had a big splash.Because not only are you replacing a water ride with the water ride, But you're also getting a new roller coaster that's Original and first of its kind here in the states. Mack water
Cedar Point doesn't need another launch coaster. What they need is a modern wooden coaster. There is even more room in the area if they take mine ride out.
This doesn't mean it couldn't be changed, BUT, Millennium/forbidden frontier island was just built into a complete outdoor maze for Blood On the Bayou - I'm not trying to be difficult or argue, I just finished working a decade at cp as a Haunt ops member and enjoy somewhat challenging enthusiast to see what they can come up with for expansions etc, with lil tidbits they may not know - and sadly, as it is now, unless its just like a support with the fence around it etc, the island can't really be used
I hope the next coaster they build has at least one launch (I miss having 3 launch coaster in the park) and at least one sit down train (I don't ride stand up coasters but flying coasters are fun).
I especially love small, tight launch coasters. One of my favorite rides is actually the Backlot Stunt Coasters found at King's Island, Canada's Wonderland and King's Dominion.
I like the museum. I'd like to see it stay in some form. However, having a very large, vacant set of buildings, especially with such an identifiable facade is really wasteful. If they do leave the buildings, then they need to find something to do with them.
My brother agrees! Wooden coasters are my favorite kind (especially when they are done well). However, I just don't quite know if they will actually do it. Thanks for watching!
Since they are obsessed with b&m can we get the only good ride the make, a flying coaster. But the tallest, fastest, only launched flying coaster. Since we know it has to break all the records
Hey not gonna lie I thought about that because the only reason I wanted to go back to CP this year was for top thrill 2 and I’m glad I didn’t - not to mention it’s definitely not a good look to have this many issues AGAIN. I love Cedar Point, but if they did get rid of TT2 they really could put the first 500 ft trex model. With the mixture of land and water elements, it could be called like Erie Anaconda or Snake River Siren…
I'm not opposed to food stands as long as it's different food and not the same stuff they serve elsewhere. As I said in the video, too, I think they'll have a hard time supporting a new food stand without additional attractions.
For every new restaurant they open, two are three are sitting there closed and not operating. Cedar Point had better food before they started revamping too~!
My wife was a pescatarian for 10 years, and every time I bring up Watkin's Hatchery she says this. Thankfully, when they closed it they made the decision to formally add the "Sides Platter" for many of the restaurants, which gives vegetarians plenty of options, but there is still very little in the park to serve Vegans. There should be at least ONE vegan option in the park. I love having more places to eat in the park personally. But not everyone does. I think the best way to really make it work is to have more people who are eating in the park, and to do that you have to take some new approaches. Having places closed all the time is definitely not good. Currently have a few different videos I'm writing around these topics. Thanks for watching!
That word "expansion" does strike me as calculated. I can see some of the existing infrastructure to be the basis of a new area of the park, a la aeronautica landing. I think the Playscape it's a great thing to keep. It's perfect for families, kids can burn off steam while parents relax in the hammocks and sip a beverage. That should be kept. The existing bathrooms and concessions areas etc could still be utilized and it would certainly offer enough space for a large scale coaster *IF* (and that's a big if) that's still on cedar point's playback. Bridging the river would also solve some major logistical difficulties for employees, (not having to walk the entire loop to get to where you need to be) and increase convenience for guests. While I am certain this won't happen, my mind is telling me to consider the space that would become available if they crossed over TT2, removed the aging corkscrew, and moved some of those maintenance, plumbing, electrical and groundskeeping offices and warehouses to the vacant space where the dorms used to be. I'm looking back to that video zamperla released for their new multi launch coaster. I'd love to see a large scale GCI hopping over both TT2 and the midway. I also think your idea of extending the river towards the maverick pond could happen. The park needs all the floodwater drainage it can get.
Love the ideas! Many people want the change to happen around corkscrew. However, the issue with it is that those buildings are actually laundry for the hotel, so that needs to remain nearby the hotel and there really isn't another place for it. I'd love to see them figure that out logistically because it would make a LOT of sense to put something there. My only hangup about it is that whatever eventually replaces corkscrew, I'd really like to see it keep the iconic corkscrews over the midway. To me, that is a defining "Cedar Point" symbol. I do think Big Coasters are still on CP's playbook, but I think they are taking a very different approach to it than they have for the past 30 or so years. They are known as THE coaster park around the world and I think they are trying to walk this fine line of maintaining that reputation while also being known for more than that. Which I think is a wise goal. But it's a long game and we can only sit here and speculate while we watch it play out. That reason is precisely why I think they will add both a coaster and a family area in this expansion. They want to do both. Thanks for watching!
I dont know if this is a controversial opinion but water coasters and rides should go in the waterpark if the park has one. I love water rides but ill never get on one because it either involves carrying a change of clothes around with me all day or being ok with getting wet and chaffing the rest of the day. It was a bit more doable when i was a kid and didnt have a phone, keys, or wallet to worry about but as an adult its a logistical nightmare.
I don't necessarily disagree as long as the waterpark is appropriately paired with the park. But I also think it's important to have something for everyone, so I do think rides like SRF should exist and be available for those who want them.
being that Cedar point and Six Flags Merged, iam gonna say a Mack Power splash aka Aquaman. Six Flags over Texas is the ONLY one in the states that has it. and it gets hotter here then where cedar point is we are talking 100-105
single rail coaster to low capacity for ceder point even a jersery devil would tol ow capacity at cedar pont plus cedar aint working with rmc right now
I actually don't think they will do another family coaster. They already have Wild Mouse, Wilderness Run, Woodstock Express and the Cedar Creek Mine Ride that all fall in/around that category. They are definitely trying to adjust their brand to be more than just a park known for coasters (which I actually do think is a good thing) but I also believe they are trying to walk a fine line between changing the perception of the park while maintaining their coaster reputation. So I definitely see where you think a family coaster might happen. But personally, I'm not totally sold. I'm all for a Mack Spinner, myself. I think it would be sick.
unsubbed and disliked, it’s obviously gonna be a 500 foot rmc t-rex with 10 inversions and 120 seconds of airtime

If they made it accessible from opposite sides of the park, people could use it as a shortcut and potentially stop at shops and food stands. But, if it's a dead end trail, you need some kind of fantastic ride to draw people onto the island. A playground isn't the answer. Families don't pay $$$ and come to CP just to play on a playground.
my brother in christ your production quality is top notch. instant sub
My favorite kind of comments to receive. Means a lot! Thanks!
History repeats itself!
Park needs a flying coaster, an extreme spinner, and a water coaster…especially with the loss of yet another water attraction.
Seeing a good number of comments talk about a mack water coaster. Seems like a great idea to me!
I predicted a B&M Hyper or giga. They could really use the capacity one of those offers back there and having the splashdown on Diamondback would be nice. If they relocate Skyhawk, there is enough space for the splashdown, brake run, and a new station there. I really don't want to see another low capacity coaster.
Would be nice, but I personally doubt it. Doesn't fit the frontier town theme. A GCI woodie would make better sense for the area
"Three over Three-Hundred" could be a pretty cool slogan for a season of advertising.
This makes a lot of sense. I asked my self why would you build such a nice play ground and not use it. I figured it was still back there. I’m interested in see if and of the ride is taken down by Friday.
Oh dang, I always thought it was an intamin for some reason.
in terms of what kind of coaster they'll put in, i think there are several possibilities.
they could do a B&M surf coaster, a Mack stryker or water coaster, an RMC raptor (or maybe the 1st ever TRex) or a woodie from GCI or Gravity Group!
maybe a modern Vekoma thrill coaster of some sort could be cool too!
I would absolutely love to see a wooden coaster. They are my favorite. However, personally I think that CP would use the opportunity to introduce a new coaster type that currently isn't already in the park.
@@cedarpointless I’d definitely agree
They’d definitely prefer to do something new
The area might be even larger. Thunder canyon right next door is constantly down. I have a feeling that area is going to open up as well.
Couldn't see another restaurant there cause there is already two there (Farmhouse and the one across from Maverick exit.) Really wish they would reintroduce the play area for kids. Great video on pointing out all the possible spacing that could be involved.
Thanks! Like I said in the video. I think for another restaurant to work in the area, they need another anchoring attraction first.
That sucks the Museum is gutted. That was a hidden gem back in the day.
This makes going back and forth from Maverick to Maggie feasible.
I'm hoping it would do a lot to connect the park. Walking the loop around the edge of the park is a bit of the pain when you do it as much as I do!
My idea could be expensive but i think Cedar Point needs to bring something big to bring more people into that are
I think Cedar point will definitely add bridges to be able to go through Millennium island through the back side and front side also going through the former Snake River expedition and if possible maybe through Iron Dragon and Rougarou.
Water coaster will be awesome .
Great video!!
I don't care everyone can hate me but I'm still mad they're taking out yet another water ride
Thanks for watching!
...gonna be a water coaster.
Cedar Point's only coaster between Corkscrew (85') and Gemini (125') in height is Maverick (105'). It'd definitely be in CP's interest to replace SRF with a coaster that's more oriented to families.
This intro was so high quality
Appreciate the compliment! Trying to really go for good quality as part of the channel's identity, so I'm glad some people notice.
But even then, the current paths would need to be filled in with flat rides over time.
whether they do this or not, I like the idea, I have never been on the island to be honest. I don't even know how to get there!
As long as Zamperla does not touch any of this it should be a success.
Oof
Not many people do the sky coaster either and they could utilize that space too. I personally would love for them to do a new Vekoma flyer as that’d be unique for us here in the US.
It would! I think that they definitely want it to be differentiating. And that definitely checks the box.
500th like and 625th sub 👍😊 amazing video!
I would prefer a water coaster that had a big splash.Because not only are you replacing a water ride with the water ride, But you're also getting a new roller coaster that's Original and first of its kind here in the states. Mack water
Great video! New subscriber.
Thanks so much for watching!
Cedar Point doesn't need another launch coaster. What they need is a modern wooden coaster. There is even more room in the area if they take mine ride out.
I wouldn't mind them putting a vickoma giant boomerang and and one of those frisbees that do a 360
This doesn't mean it couldn't be changed, BUT, Millennium/forbidden frontier island was just built into a complete outdoor maze for Blood On the Bayou - I'm not trying to be difficult or argue, I just finished working a decade at cp as a Haunt ops member and enjoy somewhat challenging enthusiast to see what they can come up with for expansions etc, with lil tidbits they may not know - and sadly, as it is now, unless its just like a support with the fence around it etc, the island can't really be used
Always love new information!
they might delay what goes for replacement of snake river falls cause they are adding a vekoma tilt coaster in 2025
Blew load to this ❤
I hope the next coaster they build has at least one launch (I miss having 3 launch coaster in the park) and at least one sit down train (I don't ride stand up coasters but flying coasters are fun).
I especially love small, tight launch coasters. One of my favorite rides is actually the Backlot Stunt Coasters found at King's Island, Canada's Wonderland and King's Dominion.
I hate to hear the museum closed they had some cool stuff in there. Of course no one went in there
Yep, I agree completely. I'm hoping they can still do some kind of museum somewhere.
I have huge doubts the town hall would ever go even if it’s empty. More likely it’s the space behind srf they’ll use.
I like the museum. I'd like to see it stay in some form. However, having a very large, vacant set of buildings, especially with such an identifiable facade is really wasteful. If they do leave the buildings, then they need to find something to do with them.
They could do a b&m surfer called Eerie surfer, or my guess (a RMC Raptor)
What would go good there and could fit the theme is a gci it would fit the park well in my opinion
My brother agrees! Wooden coasters are my favorite kind (especially when they are done well). However, I just don't quite know if they will actually do it. Thanks for watching!
They should choose Zamperla to do a 550ft 10 swing launch coaster with a 600 foot spike using Lightning Trains.
fr
lol we don’t speak the Z name.
Mack extreme spinner please!
Since they are obsessed with b&m can we get the only good ride the make, a flying coaster. But the tallest, fastest, only launched flying coaster. Since we know it has to break all the records
They're going to have a lot more space near that when they tear down Top Thrill.
Now you're starting to sound like my wife 😂
@@cedarpointless😂😂😂😂
Hey not gonna lie I thought about that because the only reason I wanted to go back to CP this year was for top thrill 2 and I’m glad I didn’t - not to mention it’s definitely not a good look to have this many issues AGAIN. I love Cedar Point, but if they did get rid of TT2 they really could put the first 500 ft trex model. With the mixture of land and water elements, it could be called like Erie Anaconda or Snake River Siren…
Hopefully something that actually works
going to be a food stand
I'm not opposed to food stands as long as it's different food and not the same stuff they serve elsewhere. As I said in the video, too, I think they'll have a hard time supporting a new food stand without additional attractions.
NGL i want a new wooden coaster at cedar point
I agree and I think a lot of people do as well.
do we really need another restaurant in the park? are we going from America's Roller Coast to America's Restaurant Coast?
For every new restaurant they open, two are three are sitting there closed and not operating. Cedar Point had better food before they started revamping too~!
@@restlessbohemian26 they probably shouldn't have closed the vegan place. there's enough vegans in the world to support a vegan place.
Aquatrax!
I want a new log flume. Something with an elevator lift.
Time for a good wooden coaster like Mystic Timbers, but CP size.
Would love to see a modern wooden coaster come to the park!
What's that thing in his hand?
That would be the controller for my teleprompter 🙂
A vekoma super boomerang coaster wicked twister reborn
0:13 tell that to kings island please
Cough Cough Vortex
I say a new water ride I would not agree with anything else
being that Cedar point and Six Flags Merged, iam gonna say a Mack Power splash aka Aquaman. Six Flags over Texas is the ONLY one in the states that has it. and it gets hotter here then where cedar point is we are talking 100-105
They need single rail!!!
single rail coaster to low capacity for ceder point even a jersery devil would tol ow capacity at cedar pont
plus cedar aint working with rmc right now
You got it all wrong it will be a brand new overpriced restaurant with sloppy food
Im pretty sure that the playground is gone
I haven't been on the island, so I can't know. But I'd be quite surprised if it is. That could change the theory entirely!
@@cedarpointless you can see it from frontier fling and millennium, and when I rode both I looked and saw nothing
It's gonna be marvel universe ....
Wishlist: Mack Spinner
Probably: a family coaster
Yeah an extreme spinner would be perfect here, or King Island. Will it happen? Remains to be seen yet
As long as it's literally anything but old western theming, I'll be excited lol.
Isn't the Western theming the point of that area though
Mack water coaster
I'm seeing a lock of Mack in the comments. To me, a Mack is also the most probable, hence why I chose Copperhead Strike for B-Roll.
Then they need to get rid of Top Thrill DOWNTIME as that's costing TONS OF MONEY.
I have to imagine that Zamperla is footing the bill for a lot of that. It has to hurt.
Cedar point does not work with rmc
B&m giga or bust
If I had to guess myself what coaster manufacturer they would go with, I think it's gonna be b&m or mack.
@@cedarpointless hey they put a Mack hyper there I’m okay but what if we get the first Mack giga 👀

My prediction is a 1000 ft 500 mph hydraulic launch coaster with 55 top hats 30 inversions and 10 minutes of air time and 9 minutes with hang time
7 minutes in and you drop an RMC Raptor as your big idea? Have you ever ridden one of those pieces of crap?
never seen a RMC hater before
