I went 2 a stereo shop today. I called them. They said they had the four 8's. For me to listen. When i got there. He said he dont have 8's. He had four 6's. 1000 watt amp. Shit!!! I got ran out his car. I couldn't believe that. The speakers were made by Concrete. So im going with the four 8's 1600 watt amp.
Awesome. Yeah through the iPhone it never does it justice. I just completed my build and put my video up. I didn’t do a sound clip and people are messaging me left and right wanting a sound clip. I hate giving them the iPhone clip because it sounds nothing like it in person. Nice set up man. I had to use the lmi rear seat lift for mine.
Do those baffles miss the subwoofers...run into the back of them? Did subthump give you details on porting that box? I have a 2015 Supercab also and have debated on this box. Did it come to you in great shape? They package their stuff well?
I’m surprised adding the port to a sealed enclosure sounded good. Good sq build man. Do you think this sub would be ok in the rear deck of a Chrysler 300? Free air application
If the back seats go down, then yes. If not, I have always ran a sealed enclosed in the trunk and made ports on the rear deck where the mids are located.
Yes, just a little and I put the ports in myself. 2 inch ports and tubes are about a foot long. They filled lightly with polyfil and wrapped tube to avoid rattle or vibration.
@@JaWheelz112 okay damn, I ordered the same box and subs and was like wtf when they wouldn't fit, cuz the cut outs are like 7.1 inches and subs are 7.3

When you port the sealed box does it change the air space? I don't know much on audio but somebody told me it's risky to port something sealed if it's space rating was made to be sealed.. 🤔 juss wondering!
Sealed, ported and bandpasses have different specs for sure. In this particular application, I only had so much area to work with, unless I lifted my seated. The way around this is to trick the subs into thinking they have more space. Only way to do that is with polyfil and designing box all the way acrossed bench length. This will overall allow speakers to move easier and creating a great sound😎👆🎶🎶🎶
@@robinthrill3r7 First you would need to know if you have divider plates in the box for each sub or one divider in the middle. I have one in the middle so I inserted a port on each end.
No lifting of the seat. Had to remove the mini jack kit on the passenger side, but not worried. That little jack won't do sqwat for that truck lol. I tapered the back toward the back to help contour the seat without modifications.

I finally installed mine...same setup...but I haven't ported it yet..I'm running it sealed for now...it sounds great...but doesn't get that low...did you run yours sealed then ported after? Was is a huge difference ported?
Two 12's amount to 24 inches in diameter of surface area compared to four 8's covering 32 inches in diameter. So overall, you will get the high and mid bass much better, but with correct porting and polyfil, you will get the lows of two 12's👍
These subs are little monsters. I was suppose to do an updated video, but if I do one, all I'm going to say is that they are so much better broken in. Almost took half a year before I really noticed. Also I was told to have bigger vents, but it sounds great how I have them and with my clearances, that would have been tough. I will say that when you push them, you can still smell the voice coil heating up lol Good luck on yours!
