The sounds of the HL: A Strider is the only reason why it's my favorite synth.
Imo the strider sounds in alyx sounds a bit generic, but it's still pretty cool

Episodes 1 setting is so underused for how awesome and chaotic it is.
I love the new strider sounds from Alyx. It makes them sounds more mechanical, similar to the hunters
i do believe they didn't needed to sound similar to the hunters and the old organic sounds fit their design better
I love the detail in the strider death, he tries to fire one last time, only to fall and cause an explosion
"Once the Striders start to move, no more news comes out of that area!"
At the end, it's as if the scene becomes the main menu map from Alyx.

The mega striders are one of the best enemy characters ever! Tall, creepy and are born to wreak destruction. How they move is actually super unnerving but when they die they cry out in pain which makes you feel sorry for them. Great characters.

God I love the scenery of Half life with the synths and all that.
But tbh, I prefer HL2 strider sounds over HL:Alyx, sounded more biological rather than mechanical. Tbh a combination of the two could probably make some wonders but idk if that would be too much work.

Very nice video, i like the scene build like theparrygod said and i like the scenario back there. The striders walking back there patrolling. I hope your S2FM animations just get better from this point!

This is a really cool short, I love seeing slice of life animations like this that just give you an impartial glimpse into the scale of the half life universe. That said, the one criticism I do have is that the sounds of the strider that passes in front of the camera seem change a lot while it's on screen, which makes it feel a bit like it just teleported in from somewhere rather than walked in from the side

the 7 hour war contained way different combine forces, it's likely most of them would be stuff we hadn't even seen because they hauled off the strong stuff after getting control of earth
