- An expert team of maritime archeologists and scientists uses state-of-the-art technology to search for ancient shipwrecks and evidence of prehistoric human activity in the deep Black sea. Equipped with advanced sonar, laser technology, and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), the team investigates the Black Sea, reaching depths up to 2,000 meters. The Black Sea, once a prehistoric lake, is believed to hold shipwrecks and artifacts from ancient civilizations, including the Greek and Ottoman Empires. @@lisashosh409 Youre a legend! Thank you!!!
So lovely to see marine archaeology presented properly - not the usual bombastic treasure hunting.
Don't fool yourself, they are most definitely treasure hunting.
Coming from fishing family, amazing stories I could tell. Loving the amazing truthes rising from the depths. ❤.
That was hilariously heart warming when that lady called home & her daughter says do ya miss me? Its always difficult to be away from family, but I can only imagine that its worse leaving your small kids behind.
I really enjoy these productions with one complaint: please rebalance the audio so that background music remains where it belongs. Many of these archeology "adventure videos have the narration drowned out or competing with the music track. A very annoying experience. This forces us to enable subtitles, when available, at the expense of seeing everything about the discovery on screen.
Agree!
It does sort of bring to mind the idea that, for all our advancements at that time, No one had yet pondered the idea of "life boats"... The resolution on their cameras is amazing. 54 to 54:15 You can see an amphora laying next to a spar as they do the glide over!
Bob ballard found a few shipwrecks in the black sea. Recovered copper ingots traced back to michigan. Wreck dated to 1200 bc.
Great show. Very important information. Enough of fantasy and myths running everything.
How about some pics of the Moskva??
Re-upload?
Bit of a cliff hanger. Did they dive on the byzantine ship or not? That is just left open and only the end credits are shown.

🤣🤣 28:15- How did they solve the problem of creating regularily operational vessel that was safe, that would ensure to bring its cargo and the crew safely back home" but they didn't!!! the vessel was as far from being safe as one can be- it sank on a maiden voyage after roughly 800 m of sailing, killing 50 people, due to lack of knowledge on stability 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I hate the history hit network
Just curious, who is paying the 20 million and what do they gain from it other than academic knowledge?
