A Controversial Art Journaling Decision

- In today's play we'll be using a gel plate to do speedy stenciling (and it creates an irregular, organic element) as this art journal comes together. What is the controversial decision I made? Stencil-rific Layers is all about how stencils work on a gel plate. What does O.O.P.S. stand for? It stands for Outstanding Opportunities Presenting Suddenly.
Those “failures” and “mistakes” that we so harshly criticized ourselves about actually became true gifts as soon as you start saying O.O.P.S. Try saying Oops in an angry tone. It makes it even more silly!
I just can’t take myself seriously when I say Oops which is just what I needed to play. I began to play, to have fun, and to embrace all of my “mistakes”.

I personally have trouble covering layers up - if I like them.... But Sometimes you just have to do it , for the good of the project/page. Your page came out great! ☺👍🏼

I'm from Germany and love your vids! Have been watching them for 4 years! Starting when I was 15.
I agree with you about the process of layering, but I really loved the background you made!!!
It's so fun to watch you work, especially because you don't plan...like me. I'm part of both controversial camps....I have a hard time covering up my work sometimes, but other times, it's nice to keep it just in my memory, and highlight only parts of a piece.
Sounds like you get the best of both camps!

I usually find good deals on paintbrushes at my local Ross Dress for Less store. I too only buy inexpensive paintbrushes.

"It’s a trigger for some" is the phrase you used to open your blog post about this. please don't use this language lightly. every time someone makes a stupid joke about "triggers" it makes it harder for survivors and people with mental illness to use this word for it's legitimate reason. please be respectful of the disabled and survivors in the art community.
